Recently New Balance has been producing shoes that are too small overall, especially in the toe, so I've ordered a half size bigger than my other shoes but they are still too small.

I have worn several pairs of New Balance ML330. When I tried to re-order, they were out of stock, so I went to this model, M574 in the same size, 13EE. They felt just a little bit tighter, but I decided that they just needed to break in. After a couple of weeks, I noticed bruises under both big toenails. I've decided that they toe area is just a little bit tighter, especially at the very tip of the toe. Even thought they are the same size from the same manufacturer, they just don't fit me properly. I'm not turned off to New Balance, just more aware of areas that require consideration in shoe fit.

Burgundy looks magenta or will read pink in many situations. Just not attractive out of the box. The red were so cute but when they arrived felt too narrow or maybe too small and too narrow, and they had burgundy in E width so I thought I would try them and then send one back. Sending both back. NB just doesn't fit like they used to. I have an old pair and I want something new, it is time. I am not finding anything. But I do love Zappos!

Too tight across the toes. No real padding or cush when you walk in them, but I would have put some kind of insole. I tried another pair in the burgundy color but they arrived today and they will read as pink/mauve in many situations and that is not good for me.

These shoes were incredibly uncomfortable. I have wide feet, and these still felt super narrow in the toe. I also had issues with the tongue moving over to the side of my foot even though they were laced tight. Not a fan. :-(

This shoe is ok if you get the sizing right. I needed to get one-half inch longer than I normally wear. I wear an 8 men's and needed a 8.5 lenght for this shoe. Also, this shoe is narrower than marked. I usually wear a size D men's but needed an E width for this shoe. The style of the shoe is very nice. So, if you get the sizing right, this shoe is ok. Zappos has a great return policy. With free shipping back, it is easy to return a pair of shoes and get the right size. Also, it seemed that I got my shoes the minute I ordered them. Really, it was over night and you can't beat the service of Zappos!

Good-looking shoe, but man is it running small. I have size 11 1/2 NB 505's that I need to replace, and these shoes, supposedly the same size, are way smaller, both in length and width. Disappointing.

Comfortable shoes not too stylish. Just bought them to wear with shorts if I don't feel like wearing flip flops!

New Balance must use different lasts on this "classic" line of shoes. I can easily and comfortably fit into a 9.5 US 2E in most of their other athletic shoes. However, even a size 10 2E (wide) is too narrow for my foot. Why can't shoe manufacturers get fit down properly? Can you imagine if tires were made the same way? You would have to try several even from the same maker on your car's wheels before knowing whether they would fit. Shoe sizing is ridiculous.

I was looking forward to sporting these retro shoes, but the comfort factor just was not there. I ordered the EE width, and they felt more narrow than other New Balance shoes that I have ordered in the past. I had to return them.

I like this shoe, except the size wasn't true. I have other NB 10EE athletic shoes and this one ran a little narrow. I have 10D shoes that I felt ran as wide as this shoe.

One big problem, the shoes squeak at the heel, VERY annoying. Otherwise, a good shoe. Very comfortable and light weight.

Extremely hard rubber sole that was conducive to a jarring type of stimulus upon the heel of the foot.

Good shoes. I'm a big fan of the NB Classics, mostly for the retro look. They have adequate comfort, although if you want a comfortable shoe, this isn't it. Go with the Saucony Jazz instead.

This is the first time I've had to return a New Balance shoe because it was too small. This shoe felt a size too small and very narrow.

I bought these to replace a similar pair of size 9 1/2 black new balance sneakers for my son. He's worn his as his everyday shoes for almost 2 years.. They've worn well. Just thought it was time for a new pair, same size 9 1/2. Just received them but they didn't fit; too small. I checked sizes again, definitely 9 1/2, then compared shoes to each other. The new pair are visibly smaller than the old. Will return and try size 10.

I purchased it because of its classic "retro" styling. It runs small and by that I mean narrow. I usually and regularly wear an 8 & 1/2 but had to get a 9 in this shoe even though the New Balance store measured me at an 8 & 1/2. The shoe is comfortable.

These shoes look nice, but were too narrow; returned for another pair of New Balance in wide and my husband likes them much better.

I think the reviews here were probably expecting something else. I was expecting a shoe with good arch support which I could use for moderate amounts of walking (1 mile/2 mile walks). I don't think this shoe is designed for those uses. Prolonged use of this shoe is bound to get the ball of your foot, under your toes very sore. I cannot recommend this shoe for anything beyond normal day to day use at work or in school.

Smart-looking shoes to be sure, but the outer fabric is sewn onto the inside of the shoe so that seams and flaps of fabric rub against the arches of my feet with every step I take. These would be great shoes but for this lapse in manufacturing quality.

Did not like this shoe one bit. The pictures are deceiving. When I looked at the pictures the shoe looked great. Upon receiving them the shoe feels cheap and the tread pattern is too aggressive. When I look down at the top of the shoe, it looks like a clown shoe.

Gotta say I love the style of the shoe. Really love the fit and walking around is like walking on air. However, I did have one of the shoes just randomly come apart at the sole one day (only maybe 10-12 days of wearing these at the most). Zappos was very helpful with the refund and I'm still thinking about giving them another try. Sometimes you just get a bad one, everyone else seems pretty happy with them! But since it didn't last long, unfortunately I can't give it more than a 3 star rating. New Balance is always better than this, so that's why it's not 1 star (and the helpful customer service helped too!)

I ordered the gray shoes, but they are a different shade of gray from what is in the picture. They are more of a tan color. They are comfortable, but I am not happy with the color.
