With my last pair of NB Classics, I was able to order half a size up to accommodate my wide foot. This time I ordered half a size up but the shoes were still too narrow for me.

Very comfortable. In fact it's the only tennis shoe I've ever fit into perfectly because I have wide feet. But I can't stand the design. Why are all New Balance designs plagued by the gigantic 'N'? (and a raised heel). These looks like girl's walking shoes. They're too loud, cute and almost platforms.

Nice shoe for the price. But it does not breathe well. Perhaps a better shoe for the winter but not the summer.

I love this shoe for its style, comfort and great price. However the upper part of my shoes tore away from the sole within a few days. This was totally upsetting, but Zappos refunded me.

I purchased this sneaker, and the sneaker is comfortable, and fits well.
The only issue is when walking on hard tile floors, especially when wet
the traction is very poor.

The shoe looks good but is just mediocre in terms of comfort. I'm on my feet all day at work and I bought these hoping to have some new comfortable and cool looking shoes. They aren't uncomfortable. They just aren't as comfortable as I hoped they would be.
Zappos did a speedy job at getting them delivered to me.

I usually love New Balances, but I had these for a few weeks and the leather tore near the toe.
Zappos provided great service when I wanted to exchange the defective pair.

I was a bit disappointed. The shoe did not look like the photo. The actual shoes had shiny plastic on them that did not show up in picture. The fit was fine, but the shoes were ugly.

A Night On The Town -
I needed a new pair of shoes to wear on tour and did not want the same old Con's or my beat up NB's. Low and behold and all black and GLOSSY version on a classic. Not meant as athletics, they do hold up to 6 shows in 7 days and miles and miles of mean NYC streets. If you like black and maybe the NY Dolls than these are for you.

Felt at least a size too small -
...which is odd, seeing as I've bought other New Balances in my size (12) and never had trouble. They felt a little snug when I put them on and I was convinced that they just needed to be broken in. The only result after a few hours of walking around was excruciating toe pain. (Most people probably would have just returned the shoes right away; clearly, that's what I should have done.) I'm sure it's a great shoe beyond the weird sizing issue.

The Workable Shoe -
A functional and workable shoe for the hospital pavement, but not very stylish compared to the professional athletic environment. I wish I could find a stylish, 12 hour supporting shoe that catches my colleagues and patients eye without looking gangster like or overly indulges. Also, maybe I am misinformed, but when I order x-tra wide, I expect the toe portion to be X-tra wide and not the heel portion.

Slick shoes -
I got these shoes for work because they were nice looking, reasonably priced and a dark color (I have to mop floors and my shoes get noticeably dirty pretty quick). The only problem is when I wore them to work the other day, I leaned up against the freezer and my feet started sliding out from under me. I guess the sole just doesn't work well with grease on the floor, or even water, when I hit water it is like no traction and I can feel my shoes sliding all over the place. Overall comfortable shoes but not good for my work. I'm going to get the M594's instead. Hopefully they will be better.

We order exactly the same shoes every time for my boyfriend, same size, same color, this is the second time they have been super narrow-if you hold them up against his other pairs they are smaller at the front at the widest part of the foot. Really frustrating! Downside of ordering online, you cant try the shoes on and have to deal with returning and hoping the next pair aren't damaged too

Very comfortable, and a classic style, but they started falling apart within months. The suede around the lace eyes started ripping in a matter of weeks, which ultimately affected how they fit. Great shoes, but poor quality.

For some reason New Balance switches to a different, less breathable mesh in the toe box when they move from size 12 to 13. I know this probably doesn't matter to most people, but it does to me for some reason. I've owned both sizes and the size 13 is less comfortable than the size 12.

I bought these in size 14, but unfortunately they are the exact size and dimension of size 13. I am returning them right away, but be warned if you buy shoes in 14+, you will not get a proper fit.

ew Balance has always been my brand of choice because they have wider sizes. This EE is more like a D width and way too tight for my mid foot location. Also, I could never get my orthotics into these shoes. Sadly disappointed.

I used to be able to wear New Balance EE shoes comfortably. No more. Like most clothing companies, it seems that New Balance is scrimping on sizes to save materials. There is no way that these shoes could be considered EE. They might be C. By comparison, Every time I order a pair of shoes from Clarks, they fit exactly the same as pairs I ordered 30 years ago: perfectly. Clarks has resisted the move toward cost-cutting, and as a result, their sizes are true.

Too narrow and the seams from the stitching rubbed the top of my feet.

These shoes feel and look great initially, but the suede on the outside quickly began to pull and get messed up. They're still comfortable after several months, but look terrible. I won't buy another pair.

I have worn the M574 for several months. I only wear them three to four days a week, but the exterior leather is already showing substantial tearing. The laces have cut through the leather eye holes, and the inside, middle panel of my left shoe has an inch hole. The fabric on which the leather is sown has not failed yet and appears to be more durable than the leather. I can only assume the fabricator for the New Balance brand is cutting corners, because I only use these shoes for errands and casual trips around town. I do not use these shoes for running or long walks, but they are showing wear like they are more than a year old.

New Balance makes great fitting and very comfortable shoes. These fit great and were super comfortable. They're pretty awesome looking as well. Unfortunately after 7 months they ripped. My New Balance shoes have always lasted at least a year. So, this shoe was kind of a disappointment.

A 2E width is supposed to be wider than normal (that's all I ask for). The 2E should be removed as a size. This shoe feels like a B, or a woman's shoe's standard width. Such a shame, I really like the look and the materials felt nice and plush, the insoles were awesome for such a basic classic shoe.

The shoe seemed fine at first. The problem was that there was a very hard seam that rubbed and pressed against my toes in a very painful way. I thought that after some time the shoes would break in and this problem would disappear, but it never did.
I've had nothing but problems with all the New Balance shoes I've purchased. It's very unlikely I'll be purchasing anything from this company again.

These shoes failed to be comfortable as they used to be. They felt like clogs - very uncomfortable.
