This is my second pair of 574s, and I've been more than happy with both. Very durable and well-constructed. I got a solid year's worth of use out of my first pair before the arch support noticeably degraded. As everything else was still great, I just purchased a gel insert for support. I still use them for running errands or doing chores. My new green pair (two months and going strong), I use at least three days a week. Nothing to report but happiness. In short, great shoes for the price.

I'm no expert on shoes and would be afraid to run at 64, but I was looking for something to cushion impact and my knees are grateful to these. Unfortunately I have now become a collector. If I can't look good, at least my feet do.

Great looking shoe, with a great fit. Liked them so much, I bought a second pair so I won't have to worry about having them go out stock when these wear out.

If you have wide feet I recommend the EE width. Great shoes. Super comfortable!

I am a loyal New Balance fan, and I thought the 574 was out of production, until I got turned onto Zappos. I ordered a pair of size 12 and they were too small, so I returned that pair and ordered a size 13. The second pair came in just two days, I am overwhelmed with the great service from Zappo's and the New Balance 574 is a fantastic shoe. Stylish, comfortable, stable and they wear like iron. Thanks.

I don't know how many pairs of 574's I've owned in my life, but a a lot, and I love them. They're such great looking shoes, always getting compliments! They're not sneakers for running or doing exercise, but great stylish casual sneakers. These red and grey ones may be my favorite yet, great looking! I recommend replacing the inserts with something more supportive...makes them more comfortable. Highly recommended, very true to size.

Most comfy sneaker I've worn. Nike has slick advertising campaigns but can't beat NB in support and comfort.

Great fitting shoe! I thought it was narrow at first, but once the sidewalls broke in it was much better. Look and style are nice, but I had to take a star off because they're really just a little too orange-brown. I think these would be much nicer in a less bright color. (Like a pale or darker brown.)

These shoes fit great! They are classic, comfortable and great for everyday wear and I love them! They fit true to size.

I used to wear the New Balance 574 when I ran many years ago, this shoe is fantastic, and Zappos has such a wide choice of colors it is tempting to buy more than one pair. I ordered a size 12 on a Wednesday, the shoes arrived the following Monday and I felt they were just a bit too small, returned them (free) and ordered another pair (free shipping) size 13, and they feel great. wonderful accent to jeans, khakis or to work out. Great shoes, great service. I am a Zappos fan.

I wasn't sure what to expect, as I haven't owned New Balance in a long time. However, these are the most comfortable shoes I currently own. I've even taken to wearing them to work on days where I am not meeting with clients! They look great too!

I've had these shoes for about two months and I have to say, I find them very comfortable. I have wide feet so it's nice to see a shoe that has extra room in the width. They seem to be quite durable as well. For the most part they are a pretty nice looking shoe for casual wear. I could do without the big N on the side, but it's not that big of a deal. I do notice that the white, spongy sole begins to look dirty quite easily.

Good shoes. But please pay attention to the width (D, E,or 2E). At first, I bought one 8.5D, (I usually have 8.5). But the corresponding France Shoe # is only 40.5, which is much smaller than my feet (42 in France#). So I have to return it and bought the 8.5 2E, which is the right one.

Love the shoe but sending back because a little snug in toes. Going to get 1/2 size larger. Good arch support don't need my orthotics with these. Was hoping to be able to "sneak" and wear to work as shoe because no sneaker policy. Almost can, but while strip near sole gives it away as sneaker. Love shoe anyway.

These are wonderful shoes. They were sold at a great price and fit well. I do not normally buy shoes online because I get worried about fit issues. But I have always bought New Balance and I have heard alot about these particular New Balance shoes and I just love them. I look forward to buying another pair in the future!

Really like these shoes. I'm a jeans and T-shirt guy, and they go great with that. Very comfortable. I like the mesh material on these especially as opposed to the sweat pant material on the toe and sides.

I've had at least 4 or 5 variations on the 574. It is probably my favorite shoe of all time. Very comfortable for casual wear and come in such a nice variety of color.

Great shoe -- really comfortable and stylish. Color 'pops,' and looks as advertised. Only con: the tread gets super slippery, when wet.

Super comfy shoes that are great for anyone looking for great cushioning in a wide shoe. I would not recommend them for running, due to the design and weight of the shoe, but are good for city walking.

We always have a difficult time finding sneaks that fit my 11 year old son's extra wide feet (that are also "in"). These fit the bill nicely and are wearing well.

I have medium-high arches and just retired a pair of 993s. This shoe fits almost as comfortably as the 993s, which is significant because these are a lot less expensive. Very grippy hiking-boot-style sole is great for general wear but probably not great for running.

For the first week of wearing them feels like your walking on springs! Amazing, best shoes I've ever owned.

It's a great shoe, but it's narrower than you'd think. I can wear a Sketchers 12 Wide, but the 12 wide New Balance was far too narrow. Once you get the size that fits it's a great shoe though.

These shoes are comfortable and good looking. They're great for walking, especially at night with the reflective 'N' and 'New Balance' logos.
