We order exactly the same shoes every time for my boyfriend, same size, same color, this is the second time they have been super narrow-if you hold them up against his other pairs they are smaller at the front at the widest part of the foot. Really frustrating! Downside of ordering online, you cant try the shoes on and have to deal with returning and hoping the next pair aren't damaged too

SLIP AN FALL HAZARD...........DO NOT BUY These shoes were a gift. I have slipped three times and almost fallen on wet surfaces. THESE SHOES SHOULD RECALLED BY NEW BALANCE.

I love the shoes, but they were a size too small.

The quality of the NB classic M574 is excellent. However, as of March 2018 they are roughly 1/2 a size shorter than other brands.

Never before felt compelled to write a review for a product. Something has changed with this shoe since I last purchased about 1.5 years ago. I have worn this exact shoe style from New Balance for 10+ years, usually buying a new pair every 1-2 years. In the past, these sneakers have been perfectly comfortable right out of the box. This does not seem to be true any longer. They feel narrower and firmer than before. Very disappointed in the comfort of this shoe. Hopefully, it improves with time or this may be the sad end of a 10 year love affair...

Not much heal support. The back and side of the shoe are very flimsy.

Easily the most uncomfortable pair of tennis shoes I’ve ever owned. Left blisters on the bottoms of my feet and rubbed the tops of my pinky toes raw.

Felt much more narrow than a previous pair of the same style I bought a few years ago.

Not good for those with flat feet 2E used to be wider now more narrow.

They are very cool but the color of one pair quickly walked away, sorry that it happened. Because of this not able long to wear them

Very comfortable, and a classic style, but they started falling apart within months. The suede around the lace eyes started ripping in a matter of weeks, which ultimately affected how they fit. Great shoes, but poor quality.

Have owned multiple pairs of the 574 and loved them all! Comfortable and stylish. Excellent build quality. Highly recommend!

These are my absolute favorite sneakers! I have no problem wearing them all day long without any discomfort. Not to mention they are very cute. Definitely worth the buy.

Very comfortable and retro stylish!

Great shoe. Fit true to my size, not too narrow, and they look fantastic. I stand at my desk at work, and no problems. I usually buy Nike (who has similar styles as this shoe), but wasn't able to find any. I've always liked New Balance's style, so I decided to give this shoe a shot. No regrets - glad I bought this shoe. They feel great, and they look great as well. One caveat is that they aren't as breathable, but they make up for it in their durability. Well worth the money.

I bought these for my husbands birthday and he loves them! He's raves about their comfort and style. He gets numerous compliments while wearing them.

The shoe is really best suited as a knock-around casual wear athletic-style shoe. Back in the day, NB was my shoe of choice for training and racing...those were 990s. While these sorta LOOK like 990s they don't have the motion control and stability for me to consider even THINKING about using them to return to even the lightest of training... As noted, these will be my summer knock-arounds...taking Perla for walks, going shopping, city walking and the like. Same high quality NB shoes, to be sure

These are wonderful shoes. I also like New Balance 900 series, but these shoes are half the price and just as comfortable and stylish - so what's not to like. I particularly like the wide toe box.

These shoes are very comfortable and go great with almost all casual clothes.

I like New Balance, but for me these hugged the back of my ankle and my tendon tightly and caused a moderate amount of irritation. I think it was the height of the heel padding and lack of flexibility at the top.
