Compared to other New Balance Classics shoes, this pair was quite a bit more narrow than marked.

Shoes feel narrower than I expected. That caused some discomfort from the top of the shoe pressing on my foot. I expect that this will go away as the show stretches.

The EE size seemed narrower than most D size shoes. The footbed, too, was very narrow, precluding the use of any standard orthotic. New Balance seems to have radically altered their sizings, and I can no longer find a size that fits.

These were a bit too tight when I first put them on, especially in the forefoot. But they loosened up after I wore them four or five times, and now they fit like a glove and are very comfortable.

Super cute shoes - look awesome with athletic wear. come in wide shoes that actually fit!

This shoe has lasted 9 months of hard daily wear with my 12-year-old son. Just now is starting to separate from the sole. We'll glue it back and hope for another few months of wear until he grows out of them!

Ordered these for my grandson who is 13 yrs old with a slender build. He wears a wide width and these "wides" were much too narrow! Disappointing as we loved the style. If he's just a kid I'm wondering how grown men who wear a wide width are able to wear this shoe. C'mon New Balance - the EEE widths in your brand look like they're styled for old men!

Initial size did not fit and Zappos customer service was outstanding in getting me the second pair. Kudos to them, they are indeed the best in the biz in that department. In regards to the shoe it runs slightly narrower than your average New Balance shoe I've had in the past including more higher reference models. Overall a classic comfortable shoe.

I have been wearing 574's for 5 plus years. They are great for me. I have serious disc issues in my back and these sneakers allow me to walk in relative comfort better than any other I have found. They're comfortable, stylish, and last a long time. I am wearing a pair that is seriously old at the moment. They're splendid. New ones I just got will need a little breaking in. The size/fit is perfect.

I bought these in size 14, but unfortunately they are the exact size and dimension of size 13. I am returning them right away, but be warned if you buy shoes in 14+, you will not get a proper fit.

Thank goodness for Zappos as my grandson needs these for his school uniform. He wears a size 15W so we cannot get them in stores. Zappos save the day (year).

Bought this for my active 12-year-old for heavy daily use. 6 months in, he is still wearing this shoe daily. He doesn't untie them every time he takes them off, so the back is starting to wear out, but there is still plenty of sole and support left in the shoe. Good quality!

I ordered 9½EE. I have other New Balance shoes with this size and they fit perfectly. The New Balance shoes that I received, though, were very uncomfortable in length and width.

I bought the "wide" listed as 2e. They are much thinner than I expected. I'm a regular purchaser of 2e New Balance running shoes, these are not like the others I have. These were not intended to be used for running, more fashion, I like the look of classic NB's. Though these are not so small that I returned them, they don't fit as comfortably as wish they would.

ew Balance has always been my brand of choice because they have wider sizes. This EE is more like a D width and way too tight for my mid foot location. Also, I could never get my orthotics into these shoes. Sadly disappointed.

I used to be able to wear New Balance EE shoes comfortably. No more. Like most clothing companies, it seems that New Balance is scrimping on sizes to save materials. There is no way that these shoes could be considered EE. They might be C. By comparison, Every time I order a pair of shoes from Clarks, they fit exactly the same as pairs I ordered 30 years ago: perfectly. Clarks has resisted the move toward cost-cutting, and as a result, their sizes are true.

My son loves his "cruisers" as the high school crowd is calling this classic shoe. Out of character for him, he also has commented on how comfortable they are. And as usual with Zappos, we receive orders quickly.

If you are looking for a good-looking shoe that is just a loafer - this is the shoe for you. I like more support quality. It did not fit that mark.

These shoes are not nearly as wide as advertised. Couldn't wear them for more than a couple of minutes.

Great shoes and great service from Zappos. I originally ordered my size but they were too small. Within 24 hours of caking I had shoes that fit.

This shoe is my husbands second pair within 1 year, not because they wore out, but that he couldn't stop raving about how much he loved the first pair. I bought the red and they are just like the picture, great color. These give a little more wiggle room/width so you can wear them all day without feeling sore or tight. Super comfy and made well.

Overall, I'm very happy with these shoes. I'm an 8.5 or 9 depending on the shoe and had to go with the 9 on this one since the 8.5 was way too tight. The gray color is also significantly lighter than in the picture (the actual shoe is more of an ash color), but all in all, it's a very comfortable shoe and I'm quite satisfied with the purchase. Also, Zappos' return policy was super easy. When I exchanged the 8.5s for the 9, it was no trouble at all and very quick!

These shoes are awesome. Not only are they super comfortable they're pretty stylish too. Definitely recommend for fashion or as training shoe.

My first experience ordering shoes on-line...and I couldn't be happier! I have strange feet and always like to try-on first. With Zappos generous return policy, thought I'd give it a try. Needed a wide, and it fits great. Heel is a little too wide. Nylon mesh is heavier than I expected...which I really wanted this time of year. Just a comfortable, knock-around shoe. Grey color doesn't show dirt too bad. Minimal tread is nice for not tracking-in lots of crud. AND, it clued me that the New Balance brand fits me well. Thanks, Zappos!
