These kicks are badass...period. Work or play, they get it done. Can't find these very often in the L.A. area right now, so get em while there hot.

These are nice, attractive shoes. I got the Formula 1 style. Made with the usual New Balance comfort and reliability.

I bought these shoes and the right shoe was making a strange noise. I contacted Zappos customer service, they were helpful and suggested a few tricks to fix the problem. The shoe noise persisted. I emailed customer service for a second time again they were amazingly helpful. They sent me another pair, and that pair is perfect! I only ever buy M574. Zappos' customer service is amazingly helpful and they have a sense of humor which makes them more personable. I wish every company's customer service departments were as cool as Zappos. These are great shoes and Zappos is a great company!

New Balance 574's are the only athletic shoe that fit my feet correctly. I wear a size 12 EE, which are extremely hard to find in the stores: thank God for Zappos!

Love these shoes. Great comfort great style--can wear with anything. Slightly wider than most of my other athletic shoes but not uncomfortably. Highly recommend.

These are awesome! I got them in grey in wide with and they are super comfortable and light. I really recommend these for anyone with wide feet.

I have bad knees and hips, surgery on both. These shoes fit my comfort perfectly and more importantly to me, my style. I have bought these same shoes for every day walking for the last 10 years.

I am very happy with the NB Classic M574. I ordered these a half size larger than normal (11.5 vs. 11 for my old pair of NB). I'm glad I decided to do that, as these fit perfectly. Very comfortable right out of the box.

I've been wearing the NB 99x series for a long time which are always excellent shoes, but when I recently lost a pair and needed to buy new ones I saw that this shoe, which has similar overall styling, was only about half the price with pretty good overall reviews. I wouldn't say these are on par with the 99x series but they are very comfortable and the overall quality is in line with the rest of New Balance's shoes.

I think the reviews here were probably expecting something else. I was expecting a shoe with good arch support which I could use for moderate amounts of walking (1 mile/2 mile walks). I don't think this shoe is designed for those uses. Prolonged use of this shoe is bound to get the ball of your foot, under your toes very sore. I cannot recommend this shoe for anything beyond normal day to day use at work or in school.

Love these! I'm a duck-footed lady, and these are my perfect kicks for days when I don't have to dress up. I ordered the men's 574 because it had the best color/width selection and I don't regret it. It took just a few wears before getting to that perfect "like a glove" feel, although at first slightly narrower than I anticipated. No problems, though! Classic lines, great color, stylish and comfortable.

These look great and feel great! The fit is a little small. I'm usually a 10.5 but I bought these in 11 and they're still a bit snug for me. They're still comfy, and they've gotten lots of compliments.

The first pair right shoe was wider than left shoe. Returned shoes. Next pair was fine.

It's hard to find comfortable yet stylish shoes for wider feet. And at first, these weren't too cozy on the sides of the feet, but after a week they did break in and feel good now. I can't say the most comfortable shoes I've worn, and I don't recommend for long distance walking, but a very very good combination of style and comfort; where you can generally have one or the other.

Noticed the tongue already started to ripe just after 2 weeks. Prefer to support Maine business and would like to try this one again.

Optimal walking and casual shoe. I have worn these type for over 7 years! Same exact color even. Perfect for my needs.

I've been wearing NB's M574s for over five years now, and unfortunately the quality of the shoes have greatly decreased. I bought a pair this past June, and the stitching that attaches the sole to the shoe has already come apart, despite only wearing them a few days a week. Perhaps it is due to New Balance's outsourcing.

Excellent shoes. A true classic. Great fit, great colors, very good support, very durable. I had a pair of these years ago, which lasted me 8 years. Recently I bought a model that looked similar, but just didn't cut it. The support was bad, and they started to fall apart within the year. See the plastic part near the heal? That is some really durable heal support. These shoes look great and they will last.

Really comfortable, not real stylish unless you are in the 7th grade and it is 1969, but who cares - they feel good.

Got these for my husband. We always have a really hard time finding shoes that fit his 17EEE or 18E feet. He really likes them says they are great all around. I believe we will be coming back when he needs a new pair next summer.

The shoes are great. I ordered these because both my son and grandson wear and like them so much. When I goth my shoes they were too tight but Zappos delivered my correct size before I even sent the smaller size back. I like NB shoes and Zappos.

Very comfortable and very well made. The shoe has great support. I teach middle school kids and I'm on my feet on hard floors all day and these have be one one of my very favorite pairs of shoes. I'd re recommend then to anyone.

Good looking shoe. Terrific value. Comfortable for everyday wear when dress shoe is not required.

If you want any shoe to fit you, find out what last means and order shoes that have the last you need. If you need a shoe with an S2 last, this is a good one. The only reason I gave just 3 stars for comfort is that the front sole could use more padding. If you order from Zappos Monday through Thursday, delivery is lightning fast.
