Returned because they just didn't feel wide enough. The length was great and everything else felt very comfortable. Ordered another New Balance shoe as a replacement because I still love their products even if they are a bit narrow sometimes.

Nice retro looking athletic shoe...perfect color for what I wanted. Great fit, could use a bit more arch support, but I bought a pair of Dr. Scholl inserts and all is good!

Great looking and fitting shoes for the price. Pretty light and sizing seems accurate. The bottom tread doesn't look like it will last long, but I have worn them for a couple of weeks and so far they show very little signs of use.

Great shoe and a great price. There's no better way to show your USA spirit while looking great.

They're nice shoes. They take awhile to get used to coming from the bulky, white tennis shoes. I've been wearing for years and years, but it's a nice change of pace. The shoe in the picture looks brown, but the actual shoes are gray, so take that as a warning.

I wear these to work. I should be wearing boots as I work construction, but I need something that is comfortable. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I've been abusing them for about 4 months now and they hold up well. The suede is super durable and the soles still look brand new. The only problem I see so far is one of the shoelace eyelets is starting to tear. When these wear out, I'll buy another pair for sure.

These are amazing! My husband wears a 14 regular, and he has had these in the purple suede for over a year and they look brand new. This is probably my favorite style of New Balance because they keep their shape so well, the toe box doesn't start to flatten or crumple with age and use like a lot of athletic shoes. Very comfortable and durable, well made shoes in a true medium width.

I like New Balance, Saucony, and Nike type running shoes for their support and light weight, but in my opinion they often lack in style and have awful color schemes. These look great, feel great, and support me while I dance. Yeah, I said it...I use these shoes to dance! They keep my feet from cramping after hours of high energy dancing at Phish shows!

I ordered these sneakers in my regular size: 10 1/2 D width. When they arrived they were too small and too narrow. So I called Zappos Customer Service and the gentleman who helped me couldn't have been nicer. He advised me to order half a size larger and wider and he shipped them to me immediately. This was Friday and on Monday I received the replacements. Meanwhile, the gentleman printed out a return label for the too-small sneakers, which I affixed to the box and dropped off at UPS free of charge. This transaction was as efficient and as pleasant as possible. My new shoes arrived right away, the return was easy and convenient and I am a certified-happy Zappos customer. P.S. I have purchased these sneakers in blue as well and I intend to get them in brown as soon as they are available. Zappos has the best customer service.

I ordered these for my husband and he said they are very comfortable, like waling on air.

I use these as walking around shoes, and they work great. The wide size I bought doesn't provide as much extra width as, say, DCs, but they're definitely roomier than standard width shoes. They're extremely lightweight. The construction feels solid. The soles make these seem fairly tall, but that might be because I'm accustomed to skate shoes.

I just bought my seventh pair of these shoes. I love them! My job has me walking more than five miles every day, and these shoes have never failed me.

I purchased these shoes after trying several Nike shoes. The NB shoes seems to fit and feel much better. There was no break in period. I went back last week to order another pair, but they were out of my size. I received an email today that the size was in and I did get that second pair ordered today, yeah! Overall a great shoe, and many colors available.

These shoes are very comfortable, I have wide feet and purchased the wide black model about 3 months ago and have had a much better experience than with my previous pair of running shoes (Reebok's Realflex). I have a slight case of plantar fasciitis in my right foot but am still able to run about 6 days a week for about an hour per run without much discomfort, certainly much less discomfort than with the Reeboks. That being said, these shoes are made for comfort and not style, in my opinion, as they are a bit chunky (certainly in comparison to the sleek and sexy Reebok Realfex, but that is a trade off I was willing to make) and the shiny plastic on the N and the heels are a bit of a turn off. So, I can go for a run and walk in them the rest of the day with little to no pain from my plantar fasciitis (given proper stretching of course). One final note, New Balance likes to boast that their shoes are made in the US (one of the reasons I purchased these shoes) but my pair of NB M574s were made in Vietnam, make of that what you will.

The shoes are great, but be warned that they come in a much brighter green than the picture. More kelly green than forest green.

New Balance shoes are always my favorite. This shoe is comfortable. It is not over designed like most current shoes on the market. I am actually shopping for another pair of 574 at the moment.

I've worn new balance 574 in the past, and though I never found them super comfortable, these seem to have gotten worse. I have somewhat narrow heels with a wider toe area. Saucony usually works well for me but unfortunately they no longer make a couple of the models I used to wear. Remembering how these, while not the best shoes, could work for me, I decided to give them a try again. First thing I noticed is that they are narrow and smaller than before. The materials seem to be cheaper as well. I have an older one from a couple of years ago to compare to and some of the material seems to be different. They feel cheaper. Also, the heels on these seem to quickly stretch and do not hug the heel, they feel loose. I don't recommend them.

Love 'em! I purchased the teal colored ones and they are way better looking in person. The color pops and I get compliments on them every time I wear them. The teal goes great with jeans...and not only do they look good, but there is no need to break in a pair or 574's, because they feel perfect right out of the box.

Love the shoes, very comfortable and I am very happy I bought them. Per the other reviews, they do run small. I'm typically comfortable in 13's and had to go up to 14 for these.

Hard to find wide width shoes for my husband. Got these and he loves them. Great service. Got them in just a couple of days.

I bought these shoes because I wanted something light and easy on your feet, my feet sweat in full leather so I figured these would be just right. After getting them and putting them on I was right about everything but the width, I have a very high instep and even though I bought the wide width they just are not right so my grandson now has a pair of new shoes.

I love New Balance 574's! I don't think this shoe will ever go out of style. Just a classic look and very comfortable! I've probably gone through a dozen pairs over the years and I appreciate their value, comfort, and quality. These hold up very well for daily wear and walking but aren't the best choice for running. Go for 993's or a newer style if you plan on using them for running or working out.

I've found my stride, pun intended. I know my sizing for New Balance and after years of wearing euro style, Pumas, etc. sneakers that are way to narrow for me, I've found a shoe that is extremely comfortable for my foot. This is my second pair of New Balance Classics, the first were M373s. Very comfortable and great quality.

The New Balance M574 in the gray colorway is the perfect shoe for the summer! Grab yourself a pair today. Goes perfect with khaki shorts and and v-neck of any color. PS - I'm talking about the gray colorway which is an all new color. Please do not confuse with the previous gray, that was a weird shade of brown.
