I recently bought some New Balance shoes for my son as a gift. The order came in fewer days than I had anticipated, was exactly what I had hoped for and they fit perfectly. Zappos has free returns which is great, although I did not have to use it.

Great shoes, I have been getting the same pair for years. They usually last 3-4 years before the tread wears off and they don't look as pretty, but still super comfortable. Matches most outfits, great everyday shoe. Also, is perfect for people like me with wide feet. Couldn't recommend it more.

These shoes are excellent. Very comfortable and sturdy. I wear them to work as a nurse and I'm on my feet 12 to 14 hours at a time and my feet don't bother me.

These are great sneakers! I have wide feet and NB always comes through with a great fit! Classic sneakers that will never go out of style. Breathable and light weight as well.

My previous New Balance Classics M574 shoes were, like these new ones, just what I wanted, but one of them separated along the front side of the sole after 15 months. I had previously owned a similar pair of these shoes purchased at a higher price elsewhere that lasted about 8 years, so I was disappointed. I contacted Zappos and they let me buy new shoes and pay only the difference in cost just this once, which I thought was great customer relations. So far the new shoes are great, just as the old ones were for the first 15 months. Hoping these will last longer, though.

I purchased the New Balance Classics 574 in the light blue for my son. He loved them! The fit was perfect and the color was exactly what I asked for! I was pleased with the fast free delivery! I will order again! If you're on the fence about an item, "Go for it." You won't be sorry! 5 Stars!

This is a simple fantastic shoe. I would prefer to wear a Saucony, Puma or Onitsuka Tiger, but I have giant size 16 feet. These are good and come in giant sizes.

Was comfortable for first few hours wearing around the house. Later developed pain in right instep.m returing for another style of NB walking shoe.

Can I just say that I love the look and feel of the New Balance 574? A little retro with a lot of comfort! I don't plan to run much in these but feel like I could if I want to. Not the lightest shoe I have ever worn, but I love them already. I ordered my usual size (8 1/2 D) and they fit like a glove.

Went searching for the 574's and Zappos had a large selection of colors in this model. Great all around training walking shoe. These are my go to brand and model. I tend to be hard on them, but they last a long time.

Although these shoes are wide, the forefoot is narrow and the heel is wide, so my foot is pinched in front and sliding around in back. These shoes have a very poor fit, I wouldn't recommend them.

Extremely hard rubber sole that was conducive to a jarring type of stimulus upon the heel of the foot.

Good shoes. I'm a big fan of the NB Classics, mostly for the retro look. They have adequate comfort, although if you want a comfortable shoe, this isn't it. Go with the Saucony Jazz instead.

Pleased with these shoes and thinking of getting a second pair. Purchased them in a wide width and they are appropriately roomy. They feel good and are rugged in a sort of quiet way.

Ordered my first pair of these last February 10th. Was working at a retail store that requires black shoes and they are perfect for being on your feet and moving around a lot. Now, a year later, I just placed an order for my second pair of the exact same shoes. Have since changed jobs to working at a school. I still wear them to work; with my dress cloths (shirt, tie and slacks). They're not dress shoes by any means but they are inconspicuous in Black when wearing black or gray pants. Not to mention they are the most comfortable for working in IT or any job that you are on the move a lot. No one says anything about them being inappropriate, job performance is much more important. If they ever did, I would go and get a doctors-note to wear them. Just buy them! Oh, and I wear 12 wide (2E, EE, etc), they fit perfect! Zappos rules!

Stylish and comfortable. One warning I would have is that the soles don't have much tread. They can get pretty slippery when wet.

I love these shoes. I have very wise feet, so Nikes and many other brands won't fit me comfortably, but NB offers a EE width which fits me perfectly. These offer an excellent compromise of cushioning without being too soft. They look good with jeans or khakis since they're all black, which allows me to wear them to the office and maintain a business casual appearance.

Just terrible. One shoe was the right size, the other was too large. Both marked the same size, but obviously a quality control problem. They are not very flexible and I've sent them back. I will never buy shoes over the internet again.

I bought these for work and not to run or cross train in. I wanted an all black comfortable athletic shoe to wear with business causal attire and they were perfect. I'm all on my feet all day and half of that is walking back and forth from my office and room to room. The shoe has the right price!

It's a great shoe. My 12 year old son reports comfort. He's hard on shoes. These seem to stand up. Delivery and customer care with Zappos are always top notch!

Very cool looking shoe. But I have a wide foot and always wear a 2E New Balance. The 2E is more like a normal width. Unfortunately I can't wear them.

My husband loves these. They are cute and retro. He works at a software firm so he can wear them to work with nice jeans and a J Crew hoodie and look stylish.

Very comfortable, fit true to size. Slightly more "mauve" than the photo looks.

I really like these shoes which I bought for my daily walking. They are light and give good support. My only gripe is that they feel a bit short for a size 9, but I will break them in and they will be fine.

Just a really great shoe. I put on others but I always come back to this super comfortable number. And I even like the color (orange).
