Beautiful color...unfortunately they did not fit comfortably around the toes. So I returned them. They were also a little wide and felt loose, even after adjusting the strap. Normally the Helen fits like a glove.

Cute but they are really narrow. I don’t know if it’s the brand or not. I think it would be comfortable if it was just a bit wider.

I ordered my normal size 9 and it's too bad but they fit very tight. My biggest concern is the strap wrap around toe. Its very tight and it causes concern with blisters. Not taking the chance, I already have issues with heels spurs, returning the shoes. Otherwise seems like a very nice sandal for someone with very narrow feet.

I bought this sands because of the reviews and after 8 months the area where the toe ring is located the cork cracked all the way to the bottom. Additionally, the sole wears out fast. I had to used a metatarsal pad because this area hurt after wearing them for a while.

Loved the style and so hoping these mephistos would be comfortable but it just didn't suit my wide foot - better for more narrow feet and there was a full inch at least in length too long. Cute though. Hope it works for you!

Although the shoe is fairly comfortable, I have a very high arch and there was not enough support for me. The shoe, overall, felt too flat and not enough cushion for my feet. They felt good when I first put them on. However, the longer I stood, my heel started hurting. For me, this would not be a go to shoe if I had to walk or stand much.

I usually wear an 11, needed a 12 in this style, which I'm keeping in black. The color of this is not really grey, it's more like pewter - very shiny, metallic-looking. doesn't appeal to me at all.

I wanted to like these, but they are going back. I think I could get use to the toe strap and the footbed is very comfortable. I always take a medium width, but my toes on the left shoe hangs out of the footbed. For the big price I want it to all work. I have bought Mephisto in the past and wanted to try another pair. Not going to work.

I have had two pair of Helens over the years that I loved and felt great from the moment I put them on. The leather in this pair is very uncomfortable - I am thinking it's specific to the grey etna color (it's a shiny patent sort of leather), and hoping the design of this shoe hasn't changed. it's too bad because the patent shine dresses up the shoe and the grey is pretty.

I've had a pair of Helen's for years but when I ordered this time they ran small! I compared the bottoms of each and the new ones are half inch shorter!!! So I hope when I order up it won't be too large overall, I love this sandal for my poor feet! Please Zappo, tell Mephisto to fix this flaw or make them in 1/2 sizes!

Toe area difficult fit.

Nice looking but not comfortable for all day.

These are very pretty sandals and I was excited about receiving them, but unfortunately, they are a little too narrow for me. My feet are not wide, but I have toe problems and need a lot of room in the toe box. In these sandals, my feet were crowding the edges of the shoes. For reference, I wear a size 39 or 40 in European sizing and ordered a 40 in these shoes.

Ordered silver. Love the color. Doesn't fit my foot. Leather is rough.

I like the style of this but I got the light color snake pattern and it is much different in person! I wish the off-white snake pattern did not have the 'outlines'; the lines are very shiny gold and opalescent when you move . I felt like a kid with lights on my shoes! Too bright for me. The sole feels stiff and a bit too flat. Size was bigger than I expected. I usually wear an 8.5, got a 39 and had an extra half inch at toe and heel.

Not as comfortable as some other Mephisto sandals I own... the leather was rather stiff. I have a bunion on one foot and the strap placement and leather feel just didn’t work for me...

I have had these sandals for about 3 years now. I feel compelled to write a review now because I am on the hunt for a new pair of cute navy blue casual and comfortable sandals. I saw the 5 stars for this sandal and was shocked. The first time I wore these they tore up my feet. I was wearing bandaids for days. The leather was not soft. They also squeaked terribly under the buckles. I applied oil to get them to stop the squeaking. I also have wide feet so my feet spill over the sides slightly. Why did I keep them? I have a terrible time finding navy blue casual and comfortable sandals. But I just found a pair of Birkestocks so I'll be ditching these Mephistos.

I wanted to love these shoes, the footbed was super comfortable, but my feet were way to wide for them. I am used to the fit of Birkenstocks and just exchanged these for a pair of Gizehs.

These are soooo cute! The leather cuts into my toes... not soft leather... need to return them.

The leather of this pair is not of the same quality of a previous pair of this same style and color of this shoe. This pair is definitely a lower quality and does not the same soft edge either. Very disappointed because Mephisto is my favorite sandal brand. I hope they bring the quality leather back!

Love them and am reordering because this pair squeaked!! Fingers crossed the next pair is quiet.

Unfortunately these are much to flat. I also ordered the Lissandra and love it - so I am sending the Helen back and getting a second pair of Lissandra.

I desperately wanted to keep these...but alas...it was not meant to be. The sandal definitely narrows in the toe area, as other reviewers have stated. My big toe and baby toe were rubbing the outer edges of the shoe. Otherwise, they are very comfortable and stylish. Regretfully, I must send them back.

Beautiful sandals, however extremely hard and uncomfortable. Hate to send them back, but I am. Also, unless you have very high arches, they will not be comfortable for you.

I thought these were Birks, but they don't fit at all like a birk. The toe box was so narrow that my toes went over the sides. They're very cute though. Wish they fit my feet. It's not just a size thing. The shape is for someone who has perfect feet. Not for someone who would order Birkenstocks.
