I wanted to have these fit so badly. I am a 39 but ordered both a 39 and a 40 and I must be in between. The toe loop rubs awfully across my big toe joint. Basically they are just too narrow. I wanted to order the plus but I read reviews that said the big toe loop was even tighter on the wider shoe model. The foot bed itself feels dreamy. The footbed is amazing while the straps blow. They look a bit clunky too.

I am disappointed about this purchase. Size 7.5 is my size; as suggested I ordered size 8 which was too large. I still kept them. Wore these sandals for 3 days and been too narrow, cause me a damage on foot. Disposed them, not able to use them.

I am returning the white sandles because the tan ones I purchased are absolutely the worst shoes I have ever had. They don't come up between my toes as they should and rubbed a bleeding sore on my second toe. Even though I have worn them now for a month, they still rub my toe red. I really hate them. The Mephisto shoes I have had in the past were the best, but these are just so awful and won't stay on my feet as well as my old ones. I will NOT be purchasing any more Mephisto shoes.

These are the most uncomfortable sandals that I have ever worn. If I wear them for over an hour, my arches ache. If I had the box, I would send them right back.

WARNING: Changed buckles that break!
Just got a pair to replace 8-yr old Helens I've worn (and loved) to death.
The buckle BROKE OFF the 1st time I put the shoes on & was re-buckling the 1st strap on my right foot.
My old buckle was metal. Never failed.
New buckle = CHEAP PLASTIC.
I'm crushed. BEWARE.
P.S. I'm a wimpy couch-potato 125lb gal who doesn't lift weights...

I bought these sandals and had to return them. I have a medium width foot and they were very narrow. Cute, Cute shoe--wish they ran a normal width.

Super sensitive skin -
I got a pair of Black Helens yesterday; walked two miles. They were so comfy and I loved them until I developed a SEVERE case of hives on the upper part of both feet. I have very sensitive skin, and SOMETHING in these leather uppers must have irritated my skin. Sadly, I must return my shoes today, but wanted to warn other people with sensitive skin that there is a possibility these shoes will irritate you to the point of hives, too! :(
