Mephisto/Helen - I broke my foot last summer and had foot pain when I switched to sandals on vacation. I bought a pair of Mephisto/Helen sandals with orthotics support built in to the shoe and the pain went away. I loved them so much I bought a second pair.

Had my first pair for 8 years! I love this sandal! So much so that I bought it again. These used to cost around $200 a pair when they 1st came on the market. Now that the price has come down, I will add more colors to my collection. It does run one size small, so go up one full size. That has not changed.

May be more expensive than Birkenstocks but 100 times more comfortable! Worth the price. I find it to run true to size for a euro 39 which I think best fits 8.5. The 39 fits my 8.5 foot perfectly.

Comfortable and Cute - I have an arthritic foot and these shoes are the perfect antidote!! Comfortable, good support, and very attractive. I plan to buy another pair!

I love my sandals! Was introduced to this brand of sandal by my mother. They are by far the most comfortable and easy wearing pair I have ever purchased! The way the strap goes around your toe is fantastic. You can't lose with this purchase! Worth every penny!

Mephisto Helen - This is my third pair. Leather foot bed is simply the best in hot weather. Molds to your foot and is great for long walking on warm days. Well made and fits so well.

Favorite sandals - I discovered this sandal about 5 years ago and fell in love with them. They are the most comfortable sandals I own. I purchase a new pair every summer and have a variety of colors. I would highly recommend trying them!

Perfect sandal! These are my favorites... Living in the desert, I often wear sandals with everything and have the Mephistos in five colors and a couple of different styles. But the Helen is the perfect sandal, comfort without bulkiness.

Comfortable, but hard to fit - I own this shoe in 2 sizes and neither one fits quite right. The 9 feels a bit too narrow and short in the footbed, so I sized up to a 10, which is a smidge too big. For reference, I usually wear a 9 and my feet tend toward the wider side. Despite the sizing issues, this is a supremely comfortable shoe. I can only imagine the heaven one would be in if the shoe fit perfectly! The arch is high, so the support is great. This is the shoe to wear when you've got a lot of walking to do. Your feet will thank you.

Mephisto - I have worn Mephistos before. These were as wonderful as always. I definitely had to go up one full size. Instant comfort. I can walk all day in them. I purchased a neutral color this time.

Couldn't believe it - My first pair of Mephisto's, the Helen in patent leather, arrived three days ago and I slipped them on and have yet to take them off except to sleep. I wore them around the house then today I wore them to the gym to work out and to the movies. I just can't believe the support and the comfort. My husband and I are going to China next year and this pair of shoes is going with us. I'm tall, have a high arch, and wear a 12 narrow to medium. The Helen 12 (42) M fits like a glove. I love how it looks on my foot, too -- solid and snazzy. I thought the thong would bite but it hasn't. I was so desperate for good walking shoes I was considering forking out money for a Taryn Rose. Thanks for steering me to the real value, Zappos.

Mephisto's Helen - Have had this sandal before and love the feel and comfort of it. It seems however that the same size shoe has now "shrunk" just a little in width. I have other colors in the same sandal, bought at a Dept store and they all seem to be "just a tad" wider.

SOLD! My feet are long and narrow with a high arch. When I developed metatarsalgia in one foot I thought I had given up fashion and comfort. I decided to give the Mephisto brand a try after reading all of the glowing reviews for the Helen. Initially I wore the black waxy Helens in my house to make sure they were worth what I had paid for them. After 2 days I knew I was going to be buying a chestnut pair as well. I have worn them daily for 4 months and my metatarsalgia is vastly improved without ever having seen a podiatrist. To say that they have exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. I am known as an avid bargain shopper and I have to say even considering their price they are worth more than I paid for them!

Best warm weather shoes ever - I LOVE these sandals. My favorite is the black patent...both comfortable and stylish. I wore them almost daily during a month in Rome in 2004...daily walking on those cobblestones. Again in Province in 2005...many miles per day on foot. Oh, and PS, I wear them constantly here in Ohio. The pair I bought recently is a SECOND pair of the same style and color (Helen, black patent) I bought over 5 years ago. LOVE THEM.

Favorite Summer Shoe - I am hooked on Mephisto as my staple summer shoe. Bought a pair on sale two years ago and LOVED them. The arch support is amazing and they just last and last. I’ve heard you can even get them redone by the Mephisto Company. At the end of this summer I bought this particular sandal at full price (that shows you how much I LOVED my first purchase) so that I’d have a new pair ready to go for next summer. I couldn't resist testing them out on several occasions already though and they were comfy right out of the box and just get better every time I wear them. Well worth the investment. You will wear them constantly!

Best sandals I ever worn - I am very happy with these shoes. Before I found them, I always had terrible cramps in my arch, very often during night. Cramps gone 100%. I have been wearing these shoes all summer and even through September, I wish I can find something this good for fall.

My experience with Mephisto - This is my second pair of Mephisto Helen's and I have never had a more comfortable sandal in my life. It fits my foot, and unlike other shoes, it forms to my foot, so it is so comfortable from day one. I can wear these casually or I can wear them with a dress and they fit the look. Mephisto really knew what kind of shoe to make for shoe fussy people like myself. I love this shoe and I will continue to support Mephisto.

Pain free summer feet - Every summer my feet suffer because of the lack of arch support in ordinary sandals, and because enclosed shoes become so warm they are miserable too. These sandals solved all the problems and looked beautiful besides. Only Mephisto sandals for me any more.

Great shoes - These are the BEST and most comfortable summer sandals- they are a million times better than the Birkenstocks I had last year- they actually fit perfectly (true to size) and I can walk in them and they do not stretch . Thank you Mephisto- well worth the money.

Comfort plus - This is one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. The cork bottom conforms to your foot after wearing for awhile, giving you a perfect fit. The toe strap is only one piece of leather, so there's no chafing.

Helen of Troy - Sure to grab your heart! This shoe is a great walking shoe or just everyday shoe. The design is contemporary and fashionable. I usually do not like the look of shoes that are good for my feet, but I quite like this design. They are super comfortable, and the arch support is excellent. Be sure to buy one size up, as they fit small. I am on my second pair and wear them with everything.

Relief for weary soles - My chiropractor insists people should not be on their feet without shoes on to soften their steps. Sneakers are okay, but these Mephisto's are convenient and VERY comfortable. The footbed is supportive and the straps did not rub at all--not even the thong between the toes!

My new favorite shoe! I ordered these after my sister bought a pair. I thought they looked great. I ordered a full size larger than marked and they were perfect. Absolutely perfect. They never hurt, not even for a day. I have been wearing them just about everyday since I bought them - they are the perfect summer shoes. I ordered the beige and they go with everything. I definitely recommend these shoes.

Mephisto Helen - These are extremely comfortable and are wide enough for my slightly wide foot. Ask me in a year or so if they were worth the $ I paid for them!
