My fourth pair... My first pair of Helen's I bought maybe 7 or 8 years ago. They are a wonderful fit with just the right support for my foot. I could walk in them all day and still be comfortable. I still have all of my "Helen's", when it is warm, I put them on the first thing in the morning as slippers and keep them as long as appropriate. I did buy a size larger than my others. I could wear the same size but the next size up was more comfortable. I find the nubuck to be more comfortable. They last for years... A good value!

Mephisto Helen - Hands-down, THE most comfortable shoes I've ever worn... and they look great. What's not to love? I wear a lot of Dansko and Birkenstocks, but slipping my feet into the Helen sandals is the epitome of podiatric heaven! I'm slowly building my inventory one color at a time.

Always dependable - I have this style shoe in so many colors and materials. It's a great shoe for folks with lower back problems. The support is just great. I will continue to buy them as long as Mephisto makes them!

This is the fifth pair of these sandals I've bought in various colors. They've got to have the most comfortable footbed on the planet. I enjoy them all year round here in Southern California--indoors on the tile floor in winter & outdoors in summer. I truly recommend them to all.

Fantastic!!! I love these sandals and have three pairs in different colors. They are the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. They are even more comfortable then my Berkies. The size and width are right on the money. And the over all look is elegant.

The perfect shoe - This shoe has it all. Amazingly comfortable, very stylish, and wonderful support. I have a tendency toward plantar fasciitis, so the support is critical. I did take Mephistos advice and ordered one full size up (I ordered a 9, usually wear 8) and they fit perfectly!

Mephisto's Helen - I have very hard feet to fit and that give me good arch support and comfort. These are perfect. I am always afraid of shoes that don't have a strap on the back, so I use them for around the house, kind of as slippers. However, the are wonderful for my feet, very supportive and look very nice.

Very comfortable shoe even for wide feet. I bought these one size larger than my normal shoe size and they fit and feel wonderful. After only a few wears they feet well broken in and molded to my feet. Since living in Hawaii and wearing mostly open shoes my feet have widened and it is often an issue finding a shoe that is wide enough to be comfortable. This shoe is great in that regard. I don't know if I can ever go back to other sandals after feeling the support this shoe offers. I will definitely buy this shoe again. It also looks good on my feet - casual but stylish. I also want to say that Zappos is just super to deal with. So easy to shop for shoes, particularly out here in the middle of the Pacific we no decent shoe stores on this island.

My favorite shoe - I own about 10 pairs of these and wear them constantly. Ever since I got heel spurs I have to wear shoes at all times. These double as my house shoes and I can wear them anywhere. I stay with the same size but I have both 38s and 39s in my closet. The only con I had with these is some of the fancier colors, silver, and gold, had stiffer leather, and I could tell it at the toe part. I love these shoes!

Great fit and feel - I love my new Mephistos. This shoe is comfortable and supportive. I have problems with pronation of my feet and it has really helped. I am not waking up in pain in the AM. I strongly recommend this shoe. If you have an excessively wide foot, it would probably be too narrow. Mine just fit.

Only sandals I will wear - Mephisto sandals are pretty much ALL I wear. I am a person who prefers NOT to wear shoes at all. The Helen's are so comfortable, it is like not having shoes on. I don't have any problems with the edge irritating my feet, and my feet don't get sore if I wear them for a long period of time. I don't see me buying any other kind of sandal as long as I can keep getting my Mephisto Helen's!

Fantastic fit! I've just ordered my third pair of "Helen"... The comfort is excellent...the fit is glove hugging good...the look is simple... I ordered my regular size and its fine!

The Greatest - I have 2 pairs of Mephisto sandals, 1 pair of tennis type, and 2 pair of chukka type boots. All Mephisto. They are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I tried the B---k sandal and they left blisters on my feet. Mephisto is the best as far as style, comfort, and fit. I have 3 more pair picked out I am think of getting.

Walk for miles in MY HELEN MEPHISTOS - I have flat feet-my legs tire easily when walking-BUT NEVER in this MEPHISTO HELEN. The arch is perfect for my feet. I normally wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and it is always a 39 in this shoe. I have 8 pairs and continue to purchase them. Nothing has ever felt this good. I wish that the base came with another style above so I had a variety other than in color. LOVE the feel of being totally comfortable.

Great for travel! I tried on about a dozen pairs of sandals (other Mephisto, Dansko, Clarks) looking for a comfortable, stylish shoe to wear on vacation and these were the winners. They provide excellent support and the adjustable strap holds the foot in nicely. I walked all day, every day for five days and never felt any pain or fatigue in my feet. The gold iguana ones are pretty enough to wear with dressier pants and casual skirts and dresses, but also look great with shorts or jeans. Thanks Zappos for letting me try and try again until I found the perfect shoes!

Great sandal! I love these sandals! Comfy from the start and good for walking. Mine are black patent leather which looks a bit more "dressy"- but I also have them in brown leather- great for everyday. I should have tried Mephistos sooner! Note: Don't be tempted to get a smaller size- your toes may rub against the slightly raised edges!

OMG this sandal is BETTER than bedroom slippers. Once it conforms to your foot, you are set. I have flat feet, but I can go forever (all day at a theme park or sightseeing) no problem. Do yourself a favor, buy a HELEN by Mephisto -- finest walking shoe is true!

The most comfortable footwear that I've ever owned! This might sum it up. This is the 5th pair of Mephisto Helen's that I've purchased. I feel that of all the Mephisto shoes, the Helen has the best arch support. I wear these sandals year round. It seems like they last forever and they are really nice looking. At first I thought that the piece between the toe would bother me but I don't even notice it's there. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I have 3 pairs of black, 1 brown and 1 pink. Love them all!!!! I have very narrow feet so it's hard for me to find a decent arch support so that fact that you have a buckle to adjust really helps.

Has it all - coming and going! I already have a pair in white - love the feel, and style. You would not know this is a "supportive" shoe, it just looks so good. I own several of another brand, but these are better wearing and look better too. I'm getting another color today.

Mephisto Helen - I bought my first pair of Helens about 4 years ago from a local shoe shop. I prefer to support small local businesses. But when I went to replace my Helens Zappos was the only place I could find the pair I wanted (nubuck black). I LOVE these sandals they are by far the most supportive, best fitting sandal I have found for my feet.

Great sandal - I usually can't wear anything between my toes, or a sandal without a back strap, but I don't have any problem with these sandals. The day I got them I wore them all day and did a good bit of walking. They were really comfortable! I usually wear a 7 1/2, so I got an 8 (38) and they are perfect.

Wore it right out of the box! The most comfortable sandal I've ever worn...ordered a second pair.

Review of Mephisto's Helen Sandal - I love the shoes, but ordered Black Nubuck and they don't seem like the suede I expected them to be. I may have been sent the waxy instead and haven't decided whether or not to keep them; however, I do like them a lot and they feel great.

This shoe is WONDERFUL! I don't like warm weather, but I love this shoe so much that I can't wait for sandal wearing weather just so that I can wear this shoe! I have long, narrow feet with high arches and a history of plantar fasciitis. I own 5 pairs of Helen in different colors. It's a guaranteed comfortable day for my feet. What a bonus that they're great looking!

Mephisto Helen - The leather strap was too stiff and was giving me a blister across the top of my foot. I put a piece of Dr. Scholl's Moleskin padding on it and that took care of the problem. The sandals are perfect now.
