Too narrow for my feet. :( I just bought 2 pair of Mephistos and they were zoomed to my door in one day and it was a holiday the day I ordered them! I am soo sad to say that they are too narrow for my feet and I never thought I had wide feet. The side of my foot is too bunched against the edge for my likings. I have heard that some people wear them like that though. For me, it was uncomfortable because I like to have room. I am so sad. I have heard how wonderful Mephistos are. I hope they someday come out with a wider fit. Oh and I wear a 7.5 and ordered the 38 which was good because the 37 would have bee much too small. ~Zappos is a wonderful place to buy shoes.~

Great Sandal - The Helen is my first pair of Mephisto sandals. Wore them straight from the box. LOVE THEM. Nice quality leather. I have long narrow feet with high arches. The 9 1/2 fits perfectly. They're light too!

Love at first step - Talk about happy feet. These are lighter than air, so comfy, but firm, and the bottoms of my feet don't get hot. Have literally worn them (except to bed) for 2 days straight now. No blisters, no signs of potential blisters. This is the shoe that keeps this hippy from going barefoot. Still love my Earths, and Birks but Mephisto takes it to a whole 'nother level.

Great sandal - The recommendation to get one size larger was good. The shoe fit very well except for my foot having a slight shift with a bunion that made it move my heel on that foot slightly into the "cupped" area of the footbed. It/I am adjusting to that and the shoe is comfortable.

No more heel spur/plantar fasciitis - I had problems with heel spurs and was fitted for orthotics, which did somewhat help. But when I started wearing Mephisto "Helen" sandals my problems disappeared. I have had NO pain since. I have recommended these sandals to several people who have found immediate results.

Great support. Great look. The Mephisto Helens are flattering to the foot and have almost as much arch support as my custom orthotics. The width across the toes is a tiny bit narrow for me so I've needed a half size larger to compensate. They are so wearable that I now have multiple pairs in various colors.

Working out well - I'm recovering from plantar fasciitis and I finally found one that seems to be working! I've only had them for about a month, but I haven't been feeling any tenderness since wearing them. My foot is also pretty flat on top, so the adjustable strap really helps! They seem to fit well with my high arches and the soft padding is nice as well. It's nice to finally get out of my sneakers fitted with custom orthotics and wear some sandals!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE THEM! Ok, I just received my Mephistos Helen shoes and I LOVE them. They are so comfortable that I am wearing them around the house like my slippers. Now I have a very high arch which leads to a lot of pain if I don't have enough support and these fit the bill. I am actually surprised at how cute they look on. Nothing against Birkenstocks (sp??) but they look ugly on my feet, these look cute. I am normally a 7 1/2 and I ordered an 8 and it's like they were made for my feet. I'm very happy with my purchase and as usual with Zappos!

Super Sandals!! I have been wearing Mephisto "Helen" sandals for the last 11 years. My city feet needed comfort, a reliable footbed and help for my burning heels. The Mephisto sandal has never let me down. I, as well as my orthopedic surgeon, recommend this shoe for anyone who likes their feet and want to take care of them for the rest of their lives. Size up though, Mephisto european sizes are a size smaller.

Great sandal - This is my 2nd pair of this particular shoe. I bought the original in 2004 for a trip to Italy when I had a broken toe. I wore it exclusively for 24 days under all kinds of conditions. Even with the broken toe, I was able to keep up and keep going for the entire trip. It has a wonderful footbed and a sturdy sole.

Mephisto Helen - I own 8 pair of Mephisto (Helen) I have difficult feet to fit. I have searched the universe for shoe of comfort. I am able to walk 5 - 10 miles in these. Need I say more?

LOVE THEM - I wear them everyday! I am thinking of buying another pair but simply cannot decide what color! They are so very comfortable---almost feel as if I am barefoot! I am totally sold on Mephisto!

Best sandle - I bought my first pair over 10yrs ago because I liked the look. I have been addicted to them ever since. They are the most durable, comfortable, quality sandle I have ever worn. Mine have been through everything and they hold up beautifully.

Aaaahhh, perfect right out of the box - This shoe is great the moment you put it on. I ordered a 37(size7) which is my normal size and I find it fits fine, really hugs my foot better than my Birkies ever did. I got the khaki exotic for a little flair. I have high arches and I find the arch support very good.

Sandals - This is a shoe I have worn out before and I was thrilled to find it on your website. I have a very high instep and have trouble finding a sandal that fits. This one is the only one that stays on with no effort.

My Favorite All Time shoe - I first discovered this shoe about 3 years ago. A gentlemen who I was involved with introduced me to it. He bought me my first pair. I no longer have him, but I still have the original pair and I have not used any other for casual use ever since. I will never be without them for the rest of my life and can't imagine traveling anywhere without my Helen Mephisto! I love them! I love them! I love them!!!! Thank you Mephisto for creating these wonderful shoes and thank you Sy for introducing me to them!

Best Summer Shoe - I have several different colors all fit great. You can have them refurbished if needed. It’s my favorite summer shoe.

Great Sandal - This is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I have at least 5 pairs of Mephisto sandals. These are more comfortable than Birkenstocks! Can't get enough of these!

Great shoe - I love these shoes because they have more padding than Birks, but it has taken a while for them to mold to my foot. The first week was a bit uncomfortable, but they now fit like a charm. The run a little narrow in the toe area.

GREAT SANDALS! I have been wearing this Mephisto sandal for years in different colors. It's extremely comfortable and durable!

On my third pair! I love these sandals! I get compliments on them almost every time I wear them-- black, brown, and red nubuck. Great support. I have high insteps and these work.

Mephisto Helen - These are the greatest sandals I've ever owned! I've worn out (2) pair over the past 10 years, walking throughout Europe, the US and French Polynesia. You can dress them up or down...they're perfect in most circumstances. The foot bed is a dream! They're my favorite travel and everyday sandals. I hope Mephisto never stops making them!

Wisconsin buyer - I have only worn these shoes one time but they seem very comfortable. I love Birkenstocks so thought I would give these a try as I’ve been trying to find some brown sandals for a long time. I have the distressed brown I think and they are a little shiny but still ok. Look good on and easy to walk in. I do wear a size 8 but ordered a 9 and they fit just fine.

Fantastic Shoe!!! Just received the Helen a couple of days ago and they are perfect. I wear a size 6-1/2 so I ordered the 7 and the fit is perfect. I plan to buy several more in different colors. Thanks Zappos!!

Best Sandals ever--My third pair - Absolutely fantastic sandal. I could wear them day and night. Footbed is heaven and fits the arch just right. My feet never get tired.
