The most comfortable sandal I've ever worn - As soon as I slipped these on I knew it was the sandal I've been looking for. Excellent arch support. I have a narrow foot and this sandal works for me. I had a little problem with one foot where the band of the sandal rubbed on my second toe, but I put a piece of mole skin on the sandal and it was fine. They are very well made, I really like the suede lining – my foot doesn't sweat in them and stick to the shoe. I wear them with everything. They are very cute and I've gotten lots of compliments on them. This is my first pair of Mephistos and it won't be my last. I was a Birkenstock addict – I've now changed to Mephistos. As usual, Zappos is wonderful to deal with. Great company, only wished I lived where you were so I could work for you.

Wonderful - These are the best sandals I have ever owned, they are great for walking and fun to wear. They look very smart with just about any summer outfit and I should know... I'm 74 years young...my young sister told me about these and I'm so glad she did...thanks for such a wonderful product.

Repeat purchase – now on 3rd pair! I saw my first pair in France (where they're made) and searched for them. I wore my first pair for 3 summers, my second pair for 2. I've just bought my 3rd pair. SO comfortable; the support they provide (I have fairly high arches) is almost as good as my orthotics and certainly miles ahead of any other sandal I own. Highly recommended.

They have walked all over the French Countryside! I love them, love them, love them! I need lots of support and these great sandals give it and look good, too. I dress them up with a nice outfit and wear them with shorts. They are the best sandal I have!

Worth every penny - I love Zappos! I have several pairs of the Helen sandal and it is the most comfortable sandal or shoe I've ever had. I usually have 3-4 pairs at any one time and switch off. I also get tons of compliments on the look. Wonderful support. I've had trouble with plantar fasciitis and have very high arches and these are incredible. I wear them constantly. I am a 9-9.5 and by a size 39. I like the Nubuck, but if you buy a light color, spray it or be prepared for stains. You do have to avoid getting these wet. They can be re-soled by sending them back to Mephisto, but it’s expensive, and they replace everything but the leather uppers. I always just buy a new pair...

Love my Mephistos - This is the second pair of "Helen". Need I say more? I am able to wear them all day long with no problems. I love this brand of shoe and have a few other styles. The last forever!!!!

Incredibly comfortable. These shoes feel as good as any shoes I've ever worn. No breaking in - just put them on and go!

Uber-comfortable - Really enjoying these sandals. I normally like a sleeker looking, stylish, flat sandal or shoe (love the brands Delman, Coclico, Cole Haan), but with heel pain and a little bunion developing in my 40 year old feet, I thought it wise to start taking care of them. Looked at Birkenstocks also, but too wide for my smallish feet. The narrower profile of the Helen fits the bill pretty well and doesn't look so clunky. I did order one size up as suggested.

Excellent Shoe! I have plantar fasciitis and usually wear orthotics. However, this shoe has such a good arch support that I prefer them to my orthotics. I am a teacher and am on my feet all day! I even put them on first thing in the morning and wear them around the house like slippers.

Not only was the service wonderful and comfortable, but so is the shoe. I LIVE in my Mephistos. Had foot surgery in December and these shoes are my salvation!

Mephisto Helen - This is my third pair of Helen. Just a couple of points for perhaps (unscientific opinion) the most comfortable shoe in the history of shoes (dating backing perhaps 13,000 or so!) Instant pure comfort even on a "Lifestepper" which I use about 80 minutes a day. Got my pair in about 24 hours from my order. I have narrow feet and that might be part of the reason I enjoy these shoes so much. They are an EXACT fit in length and width. Careful when you first put them on as they come with a "tag" that must be cut before you wear them outside the house.

Love this shoe! This is one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. The arch support is great. I was able to wear them walking for hours with no problem on the first day.

Have enjoyed wearing Mephisto sandals - My knees tend to get irritated at times. This shoe really helps me keep the knees happy. I must have 8 to 10 pairs of this shoe in many colors. I even wear the old ones when I do yard work. They feel great on my foot.

The best comfort sandal on the market - I love these sandals. They are incredibly comfortable, and provide good support for such an open style. I wear them everywhere, including as bedroom slippers. Mephistos rock.

Love em', Love em', Love em' I bought these a week before went on vacation. Most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. I have a wide foot and this works well without regard for width. This is my second pair in 3 years. Worth every penny I paid.

Love them! I had one pair of these sandals in brown and wear them daily since I live in Florida. Because they were so comfortable, I got a pair in pink and black. They are the shoes I live in. I have problems with my arches and plantar fasciitis, but not when I wear these shoes. Can't go wrong with these.

Mephisto Helen - This is pair #2 of Helen's...the last ones finally gave out after 7 years of hard wearing. They are immediately comfy, no blister from the toe strap. Out of the box and into your life - couldn't be happier.

Wonderful sandal - Took me a while to break in but once they were broken in they are the most comfortable sandal I've ever worn. Thinking about getting another pair in a different color...

First thong sandal that doesn't hurt my toes! I bought the Helen in black, distressed brown and sand/taupe. I really love these sandals. The thong actually splits around the big toe; this is so much more comfortable to me than a regular thong sandal. I really love Mephisto--their walking shoes are the best. These sandals are also really comfortable for walking. If I would fix one thing, it would be to make them available in different widths. My feet just fit this width; the Helen actually feels just a little narrower than other shoes that I own.

Great sandals! These sandals are comfortable right out of the box. I have worn the Helen for several years, and can walk miles in them. Good arch support and they look very stylish. Thanks, Zappos, for the great service, too!

Best sandal ever! This is my fourth pair of these in the last 8 years! I love the patent leather and they are the most comfortable, yet stylish sandals I have ever owned. Mephisto will rebuild the footbed, but I love having the old pairs as back up or near every door.

I was having trouble with heel spurs and needed a sandal that would give me support and still look good. This fit the bill perfectly! I purchased these a year ago and wore them on vacation in New York. We walked miles, stood in lines and sometimes had to jog to catch a cab. These sandals did it all!!! No sore feet! I absolutely recommend these shoes to everyone. I just bought my 2nd pair in a different color leather. Worth the money? You bet!!! Zappos is the best place to order shoes (or purses) that I have found so far!

Absolute Heaven, not Helen! When the buckle is appropriately tightened, not too loose, there is little rubbing between the toes. This is an absolute pleasure to wear 18+ hours, and requires no breaking into. Arch support is really great, I never thought there was anything better than Birkenstock, but these absorb shock way better in the heel and support the foot much better. I now own two pairs!
