My first Doc Martens - I've had this work shoe for about a month now. I think it is a very good work shoe. I've been wearing steel toe shoes for 3 yrs. on this job and these were the easiest to wear out of the box. I have a narrow foot, a C width and I just try to fit up with a normal width shoe and the Dr. Martens were a nice fit. A little expensive compared to the wolverines I've wore but a better built shoe. I'm on my feet a lot and in a very hot environment so I wanted something to protect my feet more from soreness. Nice shoe overall, you wouldn't be disappointed with them. The one negative is they are made in China, imagine that! What are you going to do?

Love these boots - I didn't want to write my review until my boots were a year old. These boots are great. They took about 4 months of more than occasional wear to break in but it was worth it. I have gotten so many compliments on this shoe. I like them so much I am getting my girlfriend a pair for Christmas.

Very comfortable - Very comfortable to be standing on cement floor for 8+ hours, these shoes are wider than a regular shoe so if you use wide shoes, the regular size will make it on these, very spacious on the steel area. Fast delivery, got them in 2-3 days. The only con about these boots is that they're heavy, needed like a week to get used to the weight of the boots, but they are so comfortable that is just a matter of getting used to the weight.

Boots For Work- This is the 3rd pair of Doc's I have own for work. I work in a factory and am on my feet all day. Their boots provide the comfort I need to have for the 12 hour day I some time put in. Also with my other pairs of Doc's they wear like iron so they are a great investment. Your company was priced right and got my shoes to me very quick. For my next pair of boots I will be coming back.

Husband's only work shoe - My husband has gone through so many of these, this is the only shoe he will wear. He has to go up a size to counter the narrowness of them now. But overall they are good hard working shoes.

know your size - everything is made quality, looks good too! I wasn't used of walking in boots that heavy, plus they were a little big.

great shoe, comfortable right out of the box! Needs a pull tab to assist in pulling on!

Nice boot, but..... Pro's: Comfortable, hardly no break in required, long lasting sole, good looking boot. Con's: feet don't seem to breathe very well. Very warm boot to wear compared to others. Definitely need some type of arch support.

Dr martens 8836 - Great shoe. Meets company specs but feels and looks good.

I ordered these boots from Zappos.ca so I assumed they were sent from somewhere in Canada. They are a very good looking boot and very comfortable. Zappos delivery was also excellent and I would recommend them and these boots to anyone looking for a great, low cut, steel toe, industrial work boot. My only disappointment is that these boots are not C.S.A. certified. If the company indeed wants Canadian business my only suggestion would be that they have the boots C.S.A. approved and the green patch added. This is a requirement in most Canadian industries. I previously owned a pair of very similar Dr. Martins that I purchased here in Canada that had the Green patch on them so I know they would have no problem meeting the required specs.The quality is there but the standards they meet must be advertised or are basically useless here in Canada.

The shoes are stylish, however, there isn't any arch support and the toe of the shoe gets nicked easily. I will be expecting them to wear through at the very latest by the end of the year. I like them I just wish they were as durable as my old red wings, I owned them for three years before the sole was to worn to wear anymore and the toe never got so much as a scratch, they never wore through even through the intense punishment I put them through. They were so comfortable I often forgot I was wearing steel toe boots. I really hate to admit this but for the price I should have bought another pair of American made Red Wings. Promise I don't work for Red Wing.

Good boots but soft leather has its drawbacks - I work on aircraft and sometimes I'm on my knees with the boot toe toward the pavement. The angle of the toe hitting the ground caused me to get holes in the toe area leather on both boots in less than a year. The soft leather is comfortable but wears out much faster than thicker/harder leather I've had on previous boots. I also had to put additional cushioning inserts in the soles because my feet hurt when standing for long periods of time.

This is a bad boot for me to review as I have worn nothing but Dr Martens for 15 years and have never had a comfort problem; however, with work I was required to get steel toed boot and as every pair I have owned they rub my big toe. If it wasn't for the steel toes they are perfect.

Disappointed - I have worn the above shoe 5 times for work already and I have a rip at the top of the boot and the sole has slices in them. For the price I paid for these boots because of my work requirements I would not recommend them to anyone. I will be lucky if they last me 3 months the way things are going.

Not happy- I have had the boots 3 months, fit great, comfort outstanding, but the leather on the toe wore through to the steel. I work in service and am not hard on the boots. For the price I expected a lot more.
