I've worn these boots for roughly 10 years, replacing every few years. They used to run large (I wear a Men's 10, but ordered a Men's 9). In the last two years ago they have moved their production facility and adjusted their sizes to be more correct. I love the boots and will continue wearing them.

I had a Doc steel toe before and had to get another one. I have tried many boots before and nothing comes close to the wear and comfort to Doc's. There is plenty of room near the steel toe, soles last forever (they outwore the leather) and I can walk in them for work and sight see afterwards! You can wear them and feet are happy. Well made!

It only took 4 hours for these boots to feel 4 months old. They broke in with the greatest of ease. To be honest, they are a bit on the heavy side, but the soles are so springy that you don't feel it when they are on. I am in pretty good shape, so I was surprised at what a difference I felt in my lower back when I changed to these. If you are not totally satisfied with the comfort do not return them right away. The socks you choose have a dramatic effect. I've never experienced this with other boots, but wool took the grade from a B to an all day massage and that's walking on concrete floors 9 hrs a day. They are very slip resistant on soap, oil, and even grease. The soles help to improve balance as well. I would stay away from this boot for fashion. They look great with jeans, but they do scar pretty easily. I was concerned about sizing, but the UK/US conversion chart is accurate.

2nd purchase for son with clubfeet. Best support for over and under pronation. Sole and ankle support/padding. Strait Last. Unmatched, as in customer service.

Boots are very comfortable and fit perfectly. I have only been wearing them a few months now but they seem to be holding up very well.

Now made in China. Feet felt tight for 'M' Width size. The 2 top eyes are not a good idea, better are the open pull and slide type. Had to return.

Comfortable boot. The top is slanted down to the back making the front a little higher than I would like. Other than that no problems.

These are the only work shoes I've worn for the last 15 years. I get about 3 years out of each pair, and I'm pretty hard on them. They get wet at least once a week, and the stitching doesn't rot. They are very comfortable. They were delivered at my door in less than 5 days. Well worth the money. Thank you Zappos!

I have wide forefoot and the steel toe is generous enough to fit comfortably where other st boots made my small toes feel like they were being sawed. It also feels designed properly as a st boot instead as if the toe cap was pushed into a non-steel toe design. I beat on boots between my job and my motorcycle and found the tread grips and is long lasting, and the upper is durable as well. Have not worn another st boot since i found these almost 4 years ago.

I needed a steel toe boot that wasn't too heavy and comfortable and these boots work well for that. I feel like I have on sneakers. DM's rock.

I purchased these boots for work. We have to wear steel toes at our job. I have other Doc's boots so I thought I'd give these a try. Awesome! These things are ready to go right out of the box. I took my old ones with me to work because as we all know, boots need to be broken in. I have not worn my old one once since I bought these. I am super impressed by the tread, really deep tread and as slip proof as I have ever seen. Plus as a great bonus, while everyone else has the standard boots from department stores and such, I am sporting some kick butt Doc's!

Love these boots, would get another pair! I got a lot of positive comments about style, color, and looks.

Those are some of the most comfortable soft-leather-steel-toe boots that I've ever owned! At first I just bought 1 pair, to "try them out". And after wearing those boots everywhere, day & night, for over 2+years (& since I ride a motorcycle vs. driving = my boots take a lot of "abuse"). I liked them so much, that I ended up buying 2 more (totaling 3) pairs, for "just in case" Zappos stops selling these particular ones! It has happened before. Unlike many other brands with the steel-toe inside, the entire "steel-toe" part of this boot is so perfectly integrated within the boot itself, that I don't feel any pressure, or any discomfort from it anywhere at all! These boots don't have that awful feeling, as if the steel-toe part has been shoved directly between the inside of a rather tight boot & the top of your foot, "post-production"?! In these it's 100% unnoticeable...unless, of course you drop something heavy on your foot! The "D-rings" help to tie/untie those very fast & easy! The padding around the top of the boot makes them so comfortable, that I wear them all the time, everywhere, & feel awesome! I would even go hiking (if I did hike) in those, rather then changing into any sneakers/tennis shoes ! And Zappos has the best price on these, hands down!

I read another review stating these boots felt great right out of the box. I couldn't agree more! The first time I put these boots on I could have sworn I already owned them for six months. I absolutely hate wearing steel toed boots but, the wide toe prevents any pain associated with wearing steel toed boots. I'm definitely going to buy another pair!

Surprisingly comfortable for the first day! They're a little stiff at first, but expected. The only issue that I have is there is little arch support for those with high arches. I would definitely recommend Zappos to my friends!

These are perfect safety boots--more comfortable than I expected. I have a narrow 6.5 and these fit perfectly. Not too wide, and yet plenty of room for warm sock. I highly recommend these and, of course, Zappos customer service is fantastic.

Zappos is THE BEST. My family makes all shoe and boot purchases from Zappos due to the unlimited selection of styles and brands. The service from Zappos is flawless, free shipping both ways, often upgraded to next day delivery, and always friendly and courteous. Need I say more? Oh yeah, the boots. They are great also. Doc Martens are a quality product, and Zappos' price was the best I found. Very comfortable right out of the box, broke in after one day on the job. True to size, perfect fit. Did I mention that Zappos is the bomb?

So far so good. I have been wearing these boots for about a month. I work in a precast concrete plant and walk 4-6 miles a day in my boots. The Dr. Martens seem to be holding up very well - much better than the Timberland boots I had. Break-in period was about a week or two, and they get more and more comfortable every day. I would suggest these boots to a friend.

Great work boots. I'm a Courier and either on my feet or driving 10 hours a day Monday through Friday. I have severe hammer toe's deformity and these work well for me. On my fourth pair. Last around 24 months. Hope they make these for a long time to come!

These are great work boots, easy to get on, get off, and easy to break in. I wear Dr. Marten's for the comfort, but I do change styles, and this style is fantastic.

Had my first pair for 8 years and my second for 7 1\/2. No need for replacement insoles. Will be purchasing a new pair soon. Toes do get scratched\/scuffed up but for the comfort I wouldn\'t trade them.

These boots are the comortable work boot you can buy for all day wear. I wear a 9.5 ineveryday shoe and purchased these in a 10 and they it perfect. I ordered these at 9am and had them at my front door the next day at 5pm. I can\'t say enough about Zappos as they upgraded my shipping at no cost to me. I will buy ffrom Zapppos again in the future. 5 stars all the way

I finally found a pair of Dr. Martens that actually fit. They felt good right out of the box and, other than a bit of initial dye bleed onto my socks, I would not hesitate to buy again.

I\'ve been wearing them for a month or so and i\'m very pleased so far. They seem to be a good, heavy and well built work boot. Took a week or two to beat them into submission but they\'re getting more comfortable every day. I usually take a 10.5E or 11D. I ordered UK 10 and they fit well with a heavy work type sock.
