Great shoe for full days on your feet - Most comfortable dress shoe (tie) of all, yet I still get compliments on the style (after years of wearing in all types of weather). Feels great on the ankle as well as the sole.

Soles crumble - I DO NOT recommend this shoe. The soles crumble and fall apart only after about 4 months of non-continuous use. Horrible. Although lightweight, the material breaks down. Poor design.

Excellent comfort - 2nd pair (both colors). I'm a big guy, have lots of Eccos, these may be the best for all day comfort yet. Look good even with a nice suit.

Extremely Comfortable - One of the most comfortable shoes I own - period. Wore them all day long straight out of the box, and they were extremely comfortable with no break-in required, are very supportive and while wearing them I no longer get the foot pain I have been experiencing. Sizing - I wear size 9-medium, and the 43 fit well. Highly recommend this shoe.

Glad I didn't return them - These were a tad tight out of the box, but I took the plunge and at the end of the first day, they felt great. I then ordered the same shoe in Rust Brown and they fit perfect out of the box. If you like classic, clean lines and don't want to pay a company for the privilege of having their logo on your footwear, this is for you. For me, the shape of the tow is just right: not so wide that you have to carry a hemp man-bag, not so square as to urge you to consider dressing like Austin Powers and not so pointy as to create toe-fusion, which is like the Dark Side of Tofu.

Ecco Value - This item offers excellent value from a manufacturer whose shoes usually cost more. The design is appropriate for everyday use. It approaches dress level, but is comfortable and casual.

Ecco never should have discontinued this shoe! The fit and appearance of this shoe is the best I've ever found. It's too bad that Ecco discontinued the shoe. The "rust" color is darker than the "tan" that I had preceding it, but it works very well with business casual. Zappos' price is what it would have cost me in a store here, but there are none available locally - I'm glad to have found a pair here. The metric size is larger than what I'd buy in an English sized shoe, but I already knew what size to buy (46 while I usually wear an 11 1/2 wide shoe).

Great Shoe - I ordered both rust and black and love the look and feel of each. Wear them with jeans as well as dress slacks with suit or sports jacket.

Ecco Plain Toe in Rust - These are great looking shoes and are very comfortable right out of the box. The Rust color is just right to wear with any apparel. Only gripe I have is having a small problem with the heel moving up and down slightly as I walk. In fairness to the shoe, I have to replace all inserts with my prescription orthopedic inserts.

New City Plain Toe comfort - Comfortable shoe...like walking on air! Ecco has always been a good brand for me and it lasts, lasts & lasts! You get what you pay for. If you are on your feet all day like I am you will definitely feel the comfort right away!

Really like this shoe - The rust color is such a rich beautiful color and the shoe fits and feels fantastic. With Ecco shoes I tend to purchase a size down (44) though I measure a size 11 (45). I will more than likely purchase the black pair though in terms of looks they don't compare to the rust color.

An outstanding shoe - I have worn this model every day for the last 7 years. I'm only on my second pair! I'm here just to make sure they still make them and am considering buying another pair just to stockpile in my closet. Here's why I love this shoe: 1. Classic, understated looks. To my eyes, the look is of discrete elegance. 2. Comfortable. The shoe is relatively "flat", without a pronounced arch. That is desirable to me. The width is comfortable. The shoe is just plain comfortable. Oddly, it's not a "padded" shoe like a tennis shoe, but I can stand in it all day and never think about it. Can't explain it. 3. Quality. This shoe has stood up with not a single thing wrong with it whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Excellent Shoe - I have worn this shoe almost every business day over the last year to year and a half and it has not let me or my demanding life down. The thing is a bit worn, so I am going to buy my second pair. Its pretty solid...totally a suggested purchase.

Great combination - This shoe is a great combination of fit, comfort and style. It can be worn with jeans or suits and is comfortable even after standing up in it all day long.

Really Comfortable Good Looking Shoe - Never thought I would buy Ecco, but have been very pleased. Not only is it comfortable, but I keep getting unsolicited compliments about them. Brown version is perfect for dress up or dress down. Have not had them long enough to know how they hold up, but seriously considering same shoe in black too.

Eccos New City Plain Toe Review - This is the second pair of this shoe that I have bought. The second pair feels a tad smaller than the first pair.

Very Comfortable - The most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Feels like your most comfortable tennis shoe, with support. Better than Johnston & Murphy. I plan to buy these from now on.

I have the shoe in brown. Comfortable, good looking. Wanted it in black. Just as comfortable and good looking, only darker.

I love Ecco - Ecco makes the most comfortable shoes my size 15 feet have ever worn! I'm on my second pair of Sea Walkers and just got the New City Plain shoe as a light weight, flexible, dressy shoe to wear on stage (I'm an actor). I love 'em!

Ecco Great - I have worn this style of shoe now for over 5 years and this will be my third pair. They are ultra comfortable right out of the box and wear extremely well. Another benefit is that they have no metal parts so do not set off airport metal detectors. I wish they came with a spare pair of laces however since the normal supermarket brands do not keep up with the wear rate of the shows themselves.

Great shoe - I bought these shoes for my husband for his birthday. He had seen them on display in a department store and liked the style. Unfortunately, Ecco has discontinued making them so I couldn't find them in any local store in the color and size I needed. Finally, went to the internet and found it at Zappos. He loves them!
