I am new to brooks and after liking a pair I found on sale at my military exchange mart I decided to try another pair and based on the results of my quiz went with these! Theyre great tempo run or race day shoes. Snappy and comfortable!

I bought these at the end of October 24 and have put 252 miles on them. Getting ready to order my next pair! These shoes have incredible stability even through the cold weather months running in ice, snow, & water. They are not waterproof but paired with waterproof socks, they are the perfect cold weather run shoe as well as warm weather run shoe for me. Can run sprints in them no problem. Absolutely no knee or back pain. I also use them as a trainer in the gym as well. Normal shoe size is 6.5 I wear a 7 in these. Highly recommend this shoe!!

The model is great, I like it better than the previos version (I had 3 pairs already) unfortunately it comes significantly smaller than the previous version. Im always 11.5 across all models and brands. Im using it as a rotation for now because of that and I bought in a sale the older version for my daily runs. Next time I buy it will be a 12 or 12.5. The shoe is otherwise great, I should have exchanged it when I got them but I thought they would stretch out but after a few miles they still fell tight and small. I will buy it again but a larger size.

I loved the last version of this shoe, and this version sounded like some very appealing upgrades...unfortunately after putting some miles on it, it's clear it does not work for me. The feel under the forefoot is very hard, and the joints of my big toes feel like they get pounded to a pulp by the middle of my run (i.e. by around mile 5 of a 10 mile run), and feel sore for hours afterwards. The rocker of the shoe also does not feel like it hits in the correct spot. It feels too late to be helpful for my gait (mid foot strike), and consequently my achilles get aggravated (which is NOT a normal thing for me) from having to pull the whole shoe off the ground - and it is a lot of shoe. It's a bummer because the shoe has a great look, and I was really looking forward to the promise of a snappier version of the Hyperion Max - but sadly this is not it.

I wanted to like them. Too much shoe compared to the old Hyperion Max. They feel heavy and controlling. Looking to order some older models if they are still available.

Thank you foe the Hyperion! I have always been a Glycerin fan, but the difference in support and the rocker sole have extended my exercise life.

They are comfortable and bouncy but just too Narrow. sadly will have to return. I would recommend sizing up 1/2 size for extra comfort.

This is my first pair of brooks in a life long adventure of running. I am one of those runners who has quite a few pairs of running shoes and I just didnt get around to brooks for some reason. But I am glad I did. This shoe lit me up , changed my running for the best and led me into the deep dive of what brooks is all about. Obsessed with these shoes , my lady now has a pair , multiple friends and Ive fell also in love with the Hyperion elite 4 and currently awaiting the new glycerin max 2! Brooks and the Hyperion max has added that lost pep to my step, and I couldnt recommend this shoe enough.!! Snug fit , light , quick it really is the perfect shoe.

I was really unsure trying this new shoe - but the Ghosts just stopped being an enjoyable run for me so I branched out and tried a more goal focused shoe. This shoe is probably my favorite runner I've had so far; the upper is really breathable and the rocker is pitched to feel like a really quick shoe. I will be buying these again. Disclaimer: They are not daily wear shoes... I only use these for runs.

Love this shoe!!! I nearly wore out my Hyperion Maxs so when it came time to replace them thought I would try the Hyperion Max 2. As I expected, the fit is great - it feels firm but not overly stiff, the cushioning is substantial and is just the right amount for me (neither clunky nor overly soft) - it feels perfect. I get a small forward tip-off adding a little spring to each step - the Speed-Vault plate is doing its thing. I run outdoors on pavement and the grip is very good in wet road conditions. Brooks has done everything right with this shoe, down to the shoelaces themselves (they have a ribbed design that keeps them tied). Two other physical improvements I noticed between the Max and the Max 2 - 1) the sole is considerably thicker (the shoe weighs a little bit more but the "weight" it is NOT AT ALL noticeable and I presume Brooks did some engineering magic to counteract that), and 2) the tongue is attached inside the shoe with an elastic flap, and I don't know the intention for it, but what I like is that it adds stability and a firm hold on my metatarsals). I think I tire a little less easily in them than I do with other running shoes I've tried. Bottom line . . . when I run in these shoes I am comfortable and happy - I nicknamed them my "Happ-ier-on Max Too's".

My goto independent running store ordered these to be shipped directly to me by Brooks. I expect to be buying the Hyperion 2 as well, but first I needed to replace my long run shoes. I was instantly in love with the soft, very breathable upper and its comfort factor. They run true-to-size for me in a W9 and have a Goldilocks toebox fitwide enough to splay my toes (I have medium width feet) but arent in any way sloppy feeling. The upper disappears on my feet and even though these arent my lightest shoes they feel light while running. The lace system is outstanding; I havent had to adjust while on a run at all. I prefer these sawtoothed laces to some of the stretchy laces in past Hyperion line models. They will NOT come undone and the length is just right (again, Goldilocks!). The sidewalls of the midsole are a genius design. While its not technically a stability shoe, as a neutral runner I still love the way the midsole cradles the foot, yet they are plenty nimble when making turns even at faster paces. Finally, I am not a fan of squashy marshmallowy sink-in midsoles and if you are, Brookss nitrogen infused midsole is not for you. However, after the initial miles in these the balance of resilience/responsiveness and cushion also felt just right. While intending to run slower paces today on a 16 mi. long run, I was surprised to find my paces were faster than effort was suggesting. There is a distinct roll geometry that will either work for your biomechanics and gaitor not. I havent always liked that in all my shoes but this one works for me. And to even have a little ground feel (in a good way) in a shoe with this much cushion is great, in my opinion. Its not ground feel in the sense of feeling stones, eg, but rather feeling in touch with the nature of the surface and feeling secure on it. Todays run included a dual surface of asphalt and packed dirt/fine gravel. They were fun on either option. They were very pleasant at easy paces but really sing at marathon and HM pace, so ideal for longer runs with goal marathon pace miles.

This is a completely different shoe compared to the original Hyperion max, in all the best ways. I actually despised the original, but this is a beautiful shoe. You can feel the increase in cushioning, but it is still responsive enough to be a race day shoe. Different cushion feel than the glycerin or ghost max, to be sure. Turnover in these is fast and effortless; it wants to pick up the pace at quick speeds but is equally performative at a 12 minute mile. A very versatile shoe! Wider, roomier toe box and a more well vented upper than the last iteration. The upper overall is just phenomenal. I also love the gusseted tongue and the new laces. Solid shoe; a definite BUY IT recommendation from me!
