I'm going to be the odd duck here with my review. But first off I want to say I am not a runner, but a walker and I have had probably 15 or more Brooks in my history of sneakerdom. I've had Launch, Levitate (my favorite), Ghost, Glycerin and Cascadia. So I thought I'd try Hyperion as they are in the energize lane. Right away I will say they are very comfortable out of the box. Lightweight! Probably my lightest next to launch. They are "cushy" enough and not too much. Around the house they are super easy to walk in. And like I said, I am not a runner however I DO get inspired from time to time to launch into a run from a walk and if a shoe is energizing enough to inspire me to do that and hold the pace for awhile, it's a good shoe and truly energizing. My Levitate 6 Stealthfit does that! I love Levitate for this very reason - they are energizing and inspiring and it does not take much effort to walk or run in them. These Hyperion Max 2 take a bit of effort to walk, though comfortable, they are not inspiring and I don't like running in them. I'm not sold on that wedge/slanted heel-- I don't think it's helping. But that is me. Now for the good part... aesthetically they are GORGEOUS. The colors are fabulous- the pastel grey is very flattering against my skin tone. The neon ombre graduation of colors of yellow orange and that pop of neon orange from the inside - is stunning. They are sleek looking shoes that don't make my feet look big. The toe box is not big it's not small. It's just right. They are pretty shoes. I would give them 5 stars for looks. I am a 7 in street shoes and always go up 1/2 to 1 whole size for Brooks. I'm in a 7 1/2 in these and the fit is good! I'll wear them but they won't be my "go to" - I won't reach for them like I do the Glycerin 21 or Levitate 6 Stealthfit (my favorite!)

THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOES I'VE EVER WORN! Follow the Brooks sizing guide when buying since I purchased 1/2 up than usual and shoes fit perfectly. Have been wearing them for walking but can't wait to wear them for my first run - like walking on springy clouds.
And they're seriously so cute too! Had someone ask where I got them the first few wears.

Nice looking shoes. They were just not for me. I stay most of the day and they were a little too hard for me, so I sent them back.

I absolutely LOVE the new Hyperion Max 2! The lightweight design is perfect for sweaty summer runs, and the sock-like feel ensures the fit is secure. I love that the laces dont come undone once tied. But the best feature is the cushioned heel, which helps me push off with every stride. I improved my pace significantly with these shoes because my feet didnt get tired like they do in other pairs.

Living in Florida I prioritize finding shoes that can help you stay cool in the heat. The Hyperion Max 2 is constructed with a lightweight mesh that is breathable. It was meant for staying cool in the Florida summer! The mesh is extremely comfortable and felt good right from the first run. My favorite part of the shoe is the secure fit. When you slide your foot in its like the shoe hugs you and molds around the top of your foot. The tongue of the shoe is also made of thin stretchy mesh and anchors down the inside sides of the shoe to assist with the secure fit. You almost dont even need laces because the shoe feels so secure, although the textured laces look cool and stay tied well. The Hyperion Max 2 are also extremely well cushioned. When you take them off the floor feels so hard! The Hyperion Max 2 look fantastic despite the wonderful amount of cushioning they provide. They do not look too chunky and the bright neon accents are very attractive. These are my new go to shoes for my morning runs!

Hyperion Max 2s are my new go-to shoe! The amount of support and padding that these shoes provide completely and totally surpassed my expectations. My heels, which typically can get sore, were so well padded and my entire foot hugged snugly without being tight, made me forget about wearing new shoes. I love how the shoe almost goes on like a sock My foot slides into the elastic opening and then it snugly and comfortably hugs my foot. I was skeptical of the thin/flat laces but I am pleasantly surprised with how tight they tie and how well they stayed tied. With such a well-padded shoe, I would anticipate my foot being hot on hot days, but I've not noticed any overly warm temperature. My feet feel supported and comfortable for long walks and day-to-day activity. I am delighted with the Hyperion Max 2s.

The Hyperion Max 2 is a lightweight and comfortable running shoe. This is my first time running with a rocker shoe and at first felt a little unstable, like my toe was floating up in the air. After I got used to it, I enjoyed the padded feel and the softness under my feet. I had been running in shoes that felt every impact and this was a nice change. The bright accent colors are attractive. I really like the textured laces, they feel like they will help the shoe stay tied. They fit true to my normal running shoe size. I wear a 9.5 in most street shoes but a 10 in running shoes for more toe room and got these in a 10. I think I will use these mostly for short (3-5 mile) treadmill and outdoor city runs.

Typically I use supportive inserts for my running shoes. This one doesn't need it.
It is definitely a versatile shoe with great support and extra spring that is suited for speed workouts and long distance running.

I have run in Brooks for a long time, mostly in the Launch. Recently, Ive been averaging 40 miles a week. Hyperion Max 2 has been my absolute favorite running shoe to date. Breathable, stable, supportive, lightweight, and springy. My only critique has to do with aesthetics, I would love a plain white or beige color option.

For the love of all that is holy, please make a Hyperion Max with GTS! The glycerins have become too wide and the Hyperion 2 is a better fit but the lack of cushion is killing me on long runs. The Hyperion 2 Max would be perfect if it had the additional support of GTS.

Beautiful looking shoe. After wearing to walk a few miles, my feet were killing me. I’ve got bunions on both feet and this style tilts the foot inward with the outside sole protruding out. The sole in the back is cut in, cute, but it’s affecting my balance. I feel like I’m falling backwards. The exterior comes up high on the foot causing ankle friction. The points next to the tongue also come up high, are pointy, and rub. I’m not sure if I can exchange them since they’ve been worn and I pitched the box?

These are very pretty shoes. However, they are so uncomfortable. They feel as though they are slanting inward. I still run in them and eventually get used to feeling . But not my favorite shoe .

I really loved the amount of cushion added to the shoe. I have several pairs of the Hyperion Max originals. I am so disappointed with the elastic that is connected to the tongue. It squeezes my foot to where it is almost numb. It's a shame cause there is plenty of room in the toe box. If they were less expensive, I would cut the elastic in each side of the tongue. I just don't want to ruin an expensive pair of shoes.

Love them! The Cushion ride is amazing ! However they are beginning to hurt my feet. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I loved the look of these and thought they would be good for me as someone that has chronically tight calves. I did one run and the heel drop was a no go for me. I was out for over a week with strained calves. Make sure your foot, stride, and structure is the right fit. Anyone want a new pair of shoes that have 9 miles on them? I'm bummed these didn't work out. Cause I love Brooks shoes.

Not enough support, rather firm for being a max shoe. I really wanted to love this shoe, but it wasn't working for short or long runs.

These are very rigid, from the sides to the sole. I don't know how people can run in them - I can barely walk without pain. I'm shocked.

The padding on bottoms is nice but they are so flimsy on the top and ankles. It's such thin material and it does not feel very secure when I run. It def needs thicker sides and ankle support. It should feel more supported when I run in these but unfortunately it doesn't.

I really wanted to like these shoes. I liked the look and lightness but after a few miles I had major foot cramps and my Achilles tightened up and toes went numb. The shoes were way too stiff for me. I was really disappointed and tried to wear them a few other times and they didn't feel better any time.

I wanted to love this shoe because of all the extra cushion but I just don't. It's so tall that I feel awkwardly off balance. The way the heel is designed it feels like it changes my loading response and walking in it is just unnatural. Once you are running it's okat faster speeds. A slow jog presents the same problem as walking. I have a pair of the regular Hyperion GTS and I love those. I'll avoid the "max" models from now on.
