Great shoe with a bit more cushioning than the catamount.

Excellent fit, great traction, good padding underfoot. I replaced my latest Calderas with these, since the Caldera sole width now is absurdly wide and the mid-foot width has gotten too narrow.

I wear them for work. I'm a construction supervisor for film. I also wear custom orthotics. The cascadia 18's give me the room to wear my insole's while giving me plenty of support all while looking really cool.

Very well-rounded shoe. Extremely comfortable. As soon as I put it on I had felt like I was wearing a pair of my Ghosts 15. At first, there were some sliding issues, but those were solved once I tightened my laces. After that, I don't really have any complaints. It's nice to have a trail shoe that mimics the form you are used to when road running. I felt very stable when running down mountainous terrain.
One thing I've noticed, I can feel the grip slip on certain types of rocky terrain.

Just rating as a three because it was not the greatest for my use case. I used for the first 30 miles of a 50 mile trail race. The shoes did not do well with the rocks. The grip on the bottom kept grabbing rocks and causing me to roll ankles and smash my toes. Think the grip was extended out to far. A few branches and rocks pierced the sides of the shoe however the front of the shoe was really durable just not my toes behind them. I thought they would be good in those conditions but I know next time to go with more of a road runner type with good grip and lots of cushioning for trails. Maybe they would have been better on a dirt trail with no rocks. I ended up switching to the Adrenalines for the last 20 miles and they were a lifesaver.

The Cascadia has a 20+ year trail running history with many continued great features including a responsive rubber outsole comprised with 25% recycled materials, roomy toe box, overlays in the heel and toe for additional durability/protection, rock plate, and velcro heel hook for gaiters. My only complaint is the moderate cushion leads to fatigue on longer trail runs.

My first pair of Brooks were the Cascadia 13's - they were bulletproof. I usually have an issue where the inner heel material wears through long before any other part of the shoe wears out. I still have them and use them to work around the house sometimes - no tread left but the uppers have almost no signs of wear including the inner heal which is still fully intact...bulletproof. I then had Cascadia 15's and 17's - Brooks value-engineered the inner heel material which wore through pretty quickly - disappointing. I now have a pair of 18's, the inner heel material "looks" more durable - we'll see how they hold up. I need 2E Wide, why does Brooks always offer the 2E's in the ugliest colors and no GTX version. White and light gray (15 and 17) shouldn't be an option on shoes that are used to run on dirt / in the woods. They look dirty almost immediately. Hopefully the 18's last like the 13's.

I used to ultra run, but now Im relegated to walking and backpacking and these shoes are great for any and all. Probably my favorite part of these shoes are the grip and stability. Had no problems on 6-15 mile hikes with weight.

I wear size 14 (US) in Wide, so my options are limited to start with. I am a backpacker, not a runner; my use profile is therefore somewhat different. I used the Cascadia 18 for hiking in the Pyrenees and on Corsica this summer. The shoes held up fabulously after crossing demanding terrain for hundreds of miles. It was a wet summer ('24) and I was pleased with the stickiness of the sole on wet, slick rock and on wet, slick grassy slopes alike. There is a good deal of profile left, so that I can get another long hike out of this pair. The laces are excellent. For my specific non-typical use case the rear gaiter trap is a bit small and gaiters tended to get loose. I could not find a glue that would hold for additional velcro patches. Second, for sidehilling in very steep terrain on grass the torsional stability is not quite there. I have had shoes that did a better job on that account. However, all choices of shoes involve compromises between various properties and no shoe that I have ever worn knocked it out of the park on all criteria.

Went from NB, to Hoka back to NB...these Cascadias are perfect for me. Being blessed enough to buy and try a lot of high-end shoes, Brooks Cascadia keeps me running. So glad I found them!

Fit great with plenty of toe space. Wouldnt mind a little more cushion but otherwise great shoe for the road and trail.

I tried the Cascadia 18s hoping for a wider toe box than previous versions. Unfortunately, Cascadias are not available in EEEE (extra wide) width. In fact, to my knowledge, Brooks does not make any trail runners in EEEE width. There are several models of running shoes that come in EEEE width but no trail runners. I've purchased Dyads and Beasts in EEEE and been happy with them, but would love to use Cascadias for trail shoes. I would appreciate if you could pass on a request to the product manager for trail shoes to make them available in EEEE width. I'm probably not the only hiker with large feet that could use EEEE width. For thru-hikers you would sell 3-4 pair for extended hikes if Cascadias were available in extra wide. Thanks for considering. PS. I've been a Brooks man for quite awhile for running shoes (Ghosts, Adrenalines) and love them.

Bought as a gift for my dad who does a lot of walking (trail and sidewalk). He can't get over how nice they are and how his feet and joints don't hurt in these.

I want to like the comfort and I hope I eventually will. But, it's going to be a bit of a break in period. I've worn them about 30 times and the inside foot pad just doesn't have the cushion or comfort I was hoping for. I have had better success with the Sketchers I own. I do like the looks and the tread. They seem well built but still can't wear them for more than a few hours without foot pain.
