I usually buy a 2E in other brooks as I've found they run narrow but turns out these shoes don't run narrow and the 2E was too big for me. Now with the the standard D width I'm very happy. comfortable but with support.

Have used this model and its predecessor, both regular and Gore-Tex, for over three years now with satisfaction. Easy walking, gentle and rough hiking, with and without light to medium-weight (up to 35 pounds) pack. Never any pain or blisters. Plenty of room in toe box but also plenty of stability. Has reasonable lifetime.

I would recommend the Brooks Cascadia 18 for hiking because the bottom of the shoes are excellent for rock scrambling or hiking or running. The Brooks Cascadia 18 was made for trail running but its just as good for walking, normal running, hiking, and trail running. The brooks Cascadia 18 has a thin layer of fabric on some parts of the shoe with tiny holes so your feet can breathe. The Cascadia is also very comfortable. The style of the shoes are great too.

While the construction, grip and looks of the Cascadia 18 were all good, the comfort was not. The insoles offer no more cushioning than a piece of thin cardboard. Wearing them around the house made my feet hurt and after a 5K run I had knee and hip pain also. Please add some cushioning to make them more comfortable.

This shoe looks and feels great. With two exceptions -- 1) the Brooks label/logo on the side looks kind of like a cheap sticker that will peel off after some wear-and-tear (I didn't keep the shoes to actually know if it would or not. It just looks like it would -- hence the 4, instead of 5, styling stars) and 2) with my orthotic inserted, the heel just wasn't deep/high enough. My heel would rub up/down on the back of the shoe as I walked and it felt like I was slipping out of the shoe a bit. So, if you don't have to insert anything inside that adds height to your foot, this shoe would've been a keeper.

I bit stiffer on the sole than the 17s, but overall the fitting is good.

Very stable. Like the protection around the toe box. I’m always hitting a blind stump or rock. Saved me many times from a broken toe

This is the first time I have purchased a trail shoe. I rarely go on trails, but when I read that you can wear these for everyday use, I said I would give them a try. I absolutely love them. I wear them every day. They are comfortable and make me feel protected.

These are comfortable and practical enough to wear day to day if preferred. Great trail shoe for hiking (or running). An unlisted benefit is using these shoes for golf. The sole is similar to that of spikeless golf shoes. The traction is remarkable and they will be the most comfortable golf shoe you have ever worn.

Real nice. I like them a lot. I usually wear a zero drop brand for my trail running but I'm glad I gave these a try they are definitely very comfortable on the trail over rock and roots and all.

I was on the fence of buying trail shoes or hiking boots for my Yellowstone and Grand Tetons trip. I am so glad I chose the Cascadia. We hiked 50 miles of trails. Bunsen peak, Mt Washburn (95% snow on trail), Signal Mtn, Cascade Canyon, and a few others. The lugs on the shoes had terrific grip, the stiffness/responsiveness of the shoe helped pushing off when going uphill. Even in the snow they stayed dry! No gaiters or anything. Would definitely recommend them for hiking, likely great for running too.

Comfortable fit, and reliable protection in toe area. These shoes work well on the technical, angular basalt trails of Connecticut.

The best trail shoes. The fit is perfect - I like how the top fits nicely without creating pressure points.

I have owned every pair of cascadias since my first thru hike of the Appalachian trail in 2014 where I hiked with the 7's & 9's I believe. When I did the PCT in 2018 I used the 12's & 13's I think. I make sure I get every new model as soon as they come out as I live in the Colorado Rockies so I am outside alot. I will never own another hiking shoe. I never get blisters from these bad boys either.

I have endured eight knee surgeries. I feel everything, regarding comfort. First, I love the internal comfort. The contour of the insole is perfect. Second, light weight and stable shoes. I use them for walking golf courses. Comfort and stability is critical. Great spikeless golf shoes.

I've been dealing with plantar fasciitis in both feet for several months. These shoes have given me some really notable relief in the past couple weeks of wearing them. I'm using them mainly for everyday walking around and trail hiking. Very satisfied so far, the shoes are very well made, and seem to be durable.
