I have been hiking for 10 years and always have used boots. My lowa renegades caused hot spots on my last hike and prompted me to try something new. I purchased these and just hiked 8 miles round trip, 2000 ft elevation gain.. my feet felt fantastic, no hot spot, no pain. I am highly impressed and will be purchasing another pair. I wish they offered a orange and gray combo.

Insanely comfortable and very durable. I was looking for a shoe that could handle some abrasions and abuse with out tearing. These cascades have not disappointed.

I've been wearing a Cascadia 17 and like them so I bought the 18 to replace my old pair. The 18 is definitely an upgrade. Tried them out a couple of times on a gravel trail with a little paved road and they were very comfortable on both surfaces.

It's a great shoe!!!! I have worn the Cascadia since it was made years ago. I have tried others, but always go back to the Cascadia. Whether you are in the trail or the road, it gets the job done! I am a Physical Educator that wears them daily and I highly recommend them!!!

I've worn the Cascadia since the first model was released. It's one of those shoes that continues to improve with each new model. It is my go-to trail shoe, and it has great traction in snow.

After about one month, starts out a little stiff but loosens up nicely. Comfortable toe box for my wide feet. Good quality materials. Traction good on most trail surfaces and usable as an around town walking shoe. For my heavy duty back country hiking easily replaces older heavier boot-type boots/shoes.

Brooks were my first trail running shoes back in the early 2010's. I ran numerous long races with them and they were excellent. Since then, I have tried many other shoes, including specialty brands like Hoka and Altra. While those are nice, coming back to these shoe feels right at home. Simply put, it's perfectly balanced. No gimmicks. Great traction. Great fit. Just enough cushioning. Excellent ground feel. And they look cool. Glad to be back in a Brooks trail running shoes.

These are outstanding trail shoes; durable, safe and comfortable. I've worn my current pair for a 600 mile Camino in Spain and at least 400 additional miles since then on trails and they are just showing some minor tread wear and ankle padding fraying. At 1,000 miles of varied hiking conditions they're still in overall good shape and I'm still wearing them for about 70 miles a week still. I've had no blisters and they have great traction and stability.

Very well-rounded shoe. Extremely comfortable. As soon as I put it on I had felt like I was wearing a pair of my Ghosts 15. At first, there were some sliding issues, but those were solved once I tightened my laces. After that, I don't really have any complaints. It's nice to have a trail shoe that mimics the form you are used to when road running. I felt very stable when running down mountainous terrain. One thing I've noticed, I can feel the grip slip on certain types of rocky terrain.

I used to ultra run, but now I'm relegated to walking and backpacking and these shoes are great for any and all. Probably my favorite part of these shoes are the grip and stability. Had no problems on 6-15 mile hikes with weight.

Fit great with plenty of toe space. Wouldn't mind a little more cushion but otherwise great shoe for the road and trail.

Very stable footing on gravel road base and on decomposed rock or vegetative soils. Finally a lace that's just right; not too slinky/ slippery or too stiff. Loop style top eyelets make tying the laces easier and kind of self adjusting after you tie the knot and tuck the loops under the elastic sewn into the tongue. Mine (2 pairs) took about 10-15 miles to break into my heels and now form a nice pocket to secure the fit on my foot. Length is very "Brooks-sizing" throughout their product line the 25 years I've exclusively bought this shoe brand. Broad toe box combined with a EE width is perfect match for my 65 year old feet. Comfortable cushion without being squishy soft. Removable foam-based insole permits installing my podiatrist's orthopedic arch support but candidly the shoes work pretty well even without them! Brooks hit this one out of the park! I'm even considering buying a backup 2 more pairs while my length&width size is a available...

So far I have done three 15+ mile hikes in the German/Austrian alps. I am very impressed with how well the Cascadia 18's handle sharp rocks on the trail. They are also way lighter than traditional hiking boots. My only minor issue is that the laces seem to stretch a little after I get going. Comfort is very good after adjusting the laces.

Boyfriend loves them! Bit on the heavier side he got a little too excited and thought he could run..fell but got back up and been cruising ever since. Haha. These shoes feel like you're walking on air. Comfortable and supportive! Worth every penny!

I bought these for my son in a wide for his upcoming half marathon near Moab. He likes them. I run in nothing but Brooks - Cascadia for trail, Ghost for the roads. Best shoe for me and hope my son feels the same. Wish you would off more colors in wide.

So far, so good. Wore them on Backcountry Rise 50K in August and they performed well. Fit feels similar to the Cascadia 17's which I've been wearing and been really happy with. As an older trail runner (60) the weight of the shoe is offset by the support and stability this shoe provides.

The older I get the more I realize the importance of your feet comfort. I have tried all the top brands, looking for something better, I always end up back with the brooks cascadia. I will no longer look for something better, these are the shoes that give me everything I need, my forever shoe.
