I have been buying another brand of shoes lately but a friend recommended this shoe. So I came back to HOKA and purchased these. They are truly amazing, great support and very comfortable.

I Love these...Very light and sturdy. I use them for hiking while doing Wildlife photography and Golf on wet cold mornings. I also have Speed Goat 6 Mid which I feel the same way about...Great shoes.

I got the gtx for those snow covered trails. These definitely need to be broken in to. I've owned a pair from last year and once they were used often and broken in were much more comfortable. Definitely worth it for the winter weather and keeps your feet dry when it's melting and muddy.

Really love the new speedgoat 6. I have tried both the regular and GTX versions now. The foam on my speedgoat 5 would wear out too fast, I am a bigger runner (205lbs or so) and the shoes felt like they had no spring after 75-100 miles. With the new speedgoat 6 I am getting many more miles than I had on the 5s previously! Full disclaimer, I do use Currex insoles, not a fan on the factory ones. The tongue is more padded in the 6 and that helped tremendously with rubbing. Big fan! I've run in the speedgoat for years (evo 2, 3, 4, 5) and the 6 is my favorite iteration yet.

Haven't worn in wet conditions yet so can't speak to waterproof capabilities. Happy with the purchase thus far, fit is spot on and shoe feels great and sole is exceptional! Interestingly, the tongue and shoe interface is very close so the shoes feel very secure even before tying laces.

My 8th pair of Hoka (over 6yrs) . Gortex and grip worked perfectly. My only issue was sizing. I'm consistently a size 9 the correct fitting size for these shoes(for me ) was a size 10.

I absolutely love these shoes! I am a runner, and I have always struggled to find comfortable running shoes that can take my long 4 mile runs. These shoes make running much easier- it's like running on clouds, literally.

The shoe was considerably narrower especially in the mid arch section. I typically wear a D width.

The design of the shoe has changed, and although I have worn this shoe for years, the newer model does not allow enough room for a high arch foot, although it always has previously. I can barely get my foot into the shoe, even with the laces nearly completely undone and loose, and with the top 2 laces not even in the lace eye-holes.

These are my go to sneakers for walking and dog agility classes. I tried the Clifton 10 shoes earlier and although they have a very soft footbed and seemed to be comfortable over time I developed lower back pain. Also I found them to be a tripping hazard. I then switched to the speed goats which have a solid footbed which allows you the feel the ground as you walk. After about a week my back pain subsided. The toe area is also large enough to keep the toes from bunching up like I experienced with another brand. The only downside is that the vibram some is wearing quickly, so I'm hoping to get at least 8 months out of them before I need to replaced, a year would be better for the cost. They are also supposed to be waterproof but they seem to leak a small amount somewhere. I'll spray some waterproof formula to solve.

The shoe felt too small so I wanted to go up a size or try wider in my size. They did not have wider so I went up a size. I think I just needed it wider in the toes.

In a company, (which I love),who's new products seem to be more and more dominated by feminine styles and feminine color offerings This shoe has a very masculine appeal for me. especially in the new (GTX) shade of green. Have you noticed that almost every shoe model has gotten a new shade of green in the last couple of weeks? Well this one IMHO is the best one... better than the SpeedGoat 6 (non GTX), Better than the Clifton 10, & way better than the Stinson 7btw too bad, my favorite shoe. Unfortunately,I cannot brag on the comfort of this shoe. It's not bad, it's just. passable. But I wear this shoe for the way it looks & makes me feel, not for its function. I've never run a whole mile (all at once), or even been on a real trail. so it might be great for that. But I can tell you that it's definitely a great looking shoe.

I have owned 2 pairs of Speed Goat 5's in the same size. The Speed Goat 6 is definitely smaller and tighter in the heal. The space at the bottom of the toe box was also tighter. Please order 1/2 size larger than normal and maybe wider as well.

Comfortable shoe with great traction. That being said I would prefer a little more pop and cushion perhaps out of the shoe. Feels a little bit flat along the trails. I may try the challenger GTX as it appears to maybe have those capabilities I listed above. Overall great quality shoe as usual from Hoka and I do enjoy running in it. Foot feels very secure and prevents a lot of rolling of the foot on these root stricken southeastern trails.

Completed 12 mile and 15 mile trail run in these shoes. Running over small rocks was amazing. I felt confident moving at a good pace. Traction and grip was good. Gore-Tex kept my toes warm. My only issue is that I got a small blister on the outside of my big toe. The toe box seems a little small.

Design: The colorways are awesome. I went for the "purple rain" themed ones. I have other hokas but this is the only pair that receieves constant compliments. Not sure if it's the design or colorway but these are my favorite: Comfort: I feel no discomfort when wearing them for ~2 hours at the gym. I'll do some yoga and power lifting during this time frame. Things change when I'm running. Slightly. I start off with a slight jog. Shoes feel awesome. I feel light on my feet yet in control of every step I take. Not sure if it's their marketing playing tricks on me but with every step I take I feel like a literal goat. This peak performance dwindles around ~5 miles. Once I finish my run at the ~10 mile run, I still feel agile but with less control. This is because the shoe's tigthness towards the front start to numb my feet. It's nothing crazy. I'm always looking forward to my next run but this is the only complain I have.
