First of all, I appreciate Zappos letting me exchange/return this and similar shoes trying to find a suitable size/style. My recommended size from Zappos was a 38, and I eventually figured out my foot length (a true 7/7.5) looked silly in a 38 as the shoe was way too long in the heel. So, I ordered these in a 37 and though they are narrow, they are still plenty wide, maybe too wide for my average-sized food. I wore these around my house for a bit and decided to keep them, though they didn't feel quite right, as I had already returned/exchanged a few times and sort of felt guilty about that. Though the 37 footbed length is more suitable for my foot size, the rest of the shoe is just... off. The toe straps are either digging into my feet or just too loose. The ankle strap is the same, and doesn't lay quite right. The ridges that go below the toes is a little too forward in the shoe, forcing my foot to be a little more forward than it should be. Little details, but altogether they make for a pretty uncomfortable and annoying shoe! I hoped that the straps and the shoebed would break in after a few wears but they have not and I'm super disappointed at how they just don't work for me. If I could still return them, I would.

I love the Berkenstock sandals that I own. I have a very narrow foot. the shoe fit the sole of my foot and had very good arch support. However, I ordered an 8.5 Narrow, the strap around my ankle was still too floppy. I would have had to put holes in the strap about another inch of more to make it fit around my ankle. Had to return them!

These are super cute and would probably be very comfortable - however, the ankle strap was very short and I wasn’t able to buckle them. I was so disappointed.

I am a size 6.5-7 I ordered the 7-7.5 because 6 would be too small. I am not sure why Birkenstock is not making true-to-size shoes but is using this confusing size system. It is not working for me and it is not working for most people I am sure. They came in and they are huge! definitely, not a 7. I am not going to order a smaller size also because the buckle was pinching into my foot. Two stars because it was easy to return

cute sandals, but too wide for my narrow feet. they were also very heavy. had to return.

The shoe itself great but as with Birkenstock leather I find it to be too stiff and uncomfortable for me I need something that feels good right away I don’t have time to wait for the leather to “break in”

Too big and bulky

The buckle over the toes rubbed horribly within 10 steps!

This is the most uncomfortable shoe I have tried. The straps turned my toes and heals black from the ink. I would return if Zappos would allow me to.

The strap across the top is very stiff. It hurt just walking from the living room to the mirror.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The most I uncomfortable pricey sandal I ever had. I got blisters on my toes!

The style and comfort would have been perfect, but the shoe doesn't fit correctly. There is an extra inch of shoe at the heel and the way the shoe holds the foot feels wrong - pushes your foot forward. Really bummed because the height and style is perfect for me. Hope they fix this shoe!

The top strap that runs horizontally across the bottom of the toes is very uncomfortable, the edges dig into your skin. Other than this feature, the shoe is very comfortable.

The leather on these was so stiff! I knew I would have sores on my feet if I kept them. Also the buckle was very hard to undo… the leather was wider than the buckle opening, and then there’s the stiffness of the leather that I mentioned.

These are really cute shoes, but one was bigger than the other and one of the straps was longer than the other, which made them uneven in length when strapped onto my feet, as a result the holes didn't line up. One strap was tight, and one strap was loose. I am very disappointed considering the price and that Birkenstock puts its name on this.

they were not narrow. i bought 2 pair for a narrow fit and they were true to size.

I love the look of the shoes but after wearing them for one day I got really chaffed on my pinky toes. It was pretty bad. Would have loved to keep them but my feet are still healing two weeks later. Not worth it. Very pretty though.

This shoe fits about 1/2 size too short. The leather is not soft and the straps are hard to fasten. Returning as very uncomfortable and runs short.

Shoes were very uncomfortable right out of the box, but I assumed, after reading other reviews, that it would improve after it conforming to my feet. That did not happen - it actually got worse. I have a narrow foot, and the toe buckle hurts my feet. Even adding moleskin, as someone suggested, did not help. After wearing the shoes for several hours, they became more uncomfortable. The arch support is not what I expected. I would not recommend these shoes. Sorry I cannot send them back as I have already worn them outside!
