Love my birks always have but these are staining my feet really bad black and purple I look like I got hurt lol

I bought a pair of the "regular" (without the soft footbed) Arizonas a couple of years ago. I loved the way they looked, but they were hideously uncomfortable. One day I when I was doing lots of walking, the bulging arch lumps in the footbeds ground horrible, huge blisters into the soles of my feet that took weeks to heal. I was so annoyed with the shoes that I threw them in the trash. Fast forward to a few days ago, when I discovered that a "soft footbed" version was available. Based on reviews, I thought these would be worth a try and would be much more comfortable to wear for long periods and certainly for walking. They're not. I can't feel any difference between the original rock-hard version and this "soft" version--they're not soft at all. I'm ticked that I spent all that extra money to get what is essentially the same shoe. I threw out the original box, so I'm stuck with them. I can say with certainty that they'll be the last pair of Birkenstock's I'll ever purchase. I really don't understand the cult following.

I am a size 7 or 71/2 which is what I ordered. I was sent size 38 and bc I’d never had a pair of Birkenstocks before I was not sure how they were supposed to fit. I tried to break them in for a couple weeks when my daughter saw them and said they’re too big for you. Expensive mistake.

This was my second order for sandals after I was sent the wrong color, the customer service was AMAZING and help me exchange but these arrived and were right color right size but the wide/regular version, even with the box saying it was narrow. I am sure it was just mix up but after two times getting the wrong sandal I will have to go somewhere else.

I wear and have many birks, but wanted to try the softbed, these were harder than the regular!! I put on my feet and walked maybe one step in my room and said absolutely not they need to be sent back! I know they take time to break in but I wouldn’t have been able to even wear to start the break in period. Very disappointed. The color was also not as great as what it looks like online. It blended into my skin and just looked bad. A no for me unfortunately

I have narrow, very flat feet that pronate. I was hoping that these shoes would provide cushion and better arch support. Unfortunately, they did not. For the money, I did not find them any more comfortable than the base Birkenstocks.

My foot is very wide and the molded foot bed rubs on the sides of my feet. I'm hoping it's a matter of breaking them in. If not I won't be able to wear them.

Arch was way too much and made the balls of my feet hurt. I have high arches so sure that's why. Had to return.

I have had several pairs of Birkenstocks before (Arizona model) and these felt cheap. Almost fake. There was a strange clicking sound when I walked too. I think from the buckles but I cannot be sure. Would love to return them but they are past the return date. Just not the same quality as my others for some reason. Probably just a "one off" but nonetheless, not happy with this pair.

We've had a lot of these shoes between my husband and I and our 3 grown daughters over our lives. The quality control just really isn't there anymore. My most recent pair stretched out so much that my foot came out the front walking down a plank onto an airplane and I fell. This specific pair has the holes and buckles at different lengths on 2 of the 4 straps. Birkenstock used to be better.

I ordered 38 narrow in tobacco for my 71/2 size feet. The sandal fit fine, the narrow was the right choice as these are unisex. I’m very brand loyal to Birks, these would’ve been my 8th pair (several styles-for every season). The Zappos picture shows a light brown leather. What I received was a taupe/grey colored nubuck finish. Still, I was pretty excited for them until I walked around for a bit. The top strap cut into the top of my foot. I tried to adjust it but nothing helped. Between the color, the finish of the leather and the strap, they had to go back.

The fit and size was good. The leather is so rough it hurts the top of my feet. I have tried to wear them in the house but I cannot tolerate the rubbing on my toes and instep. I will need to return them.

Took a while to get sizing right for this shoe. Tried a few sizes and ended up liking 37 regular best. did not like the narrow fit and I have regular sized feet. my usual size is a 7-7 1/2. Had some issues with shoe quality. the first pair the black leather was very faded and shoes looked worn. Replacement pair had a gouge in the leather, and third pair had big glue marks on cork. I’m about to give up on these.

THe straps are very uncomfortable on my feet

I,m having issues with my feet. Tried these but it was not a good fit.

The size was perfect. The color was not. They were very light. I'd describe them as camel or beige.

Since trying these sandals, the edges of the leather straps have been cutting into my toes, causing some nasty bleeding cuts and several bruises. I didn’t abandon them and I am keeping them on as long as I can, to “break them in”. Does Zappos have any way to prevent the edges of the straps from performing podiatric surgery on my toes? And where do we go from here?

These were the first pair of Birkenstock sandals that actually fit buying my regular size 44. However, when trying them on the front strap was so abrasive against my foot there was no way I could keep these sandals. I will be going to a Birkenstock store to check out the same sandal and see if I have the same problem. If I don't have the problem and the sandal fits right then I know it is Zappos. I am not convinced that Zappos selection of Birkenstock sandals are not irregulars or seconds based on the fact I tried 6 different pair.

My only complaint was they did not come in the original box and had been worn by someone else long enough to have toe prints on them

Footbed is very comfortable. The oiled leather looks good, but it is very stiff and digs into the foot causing painful chafing and blisters even after adjusting for a looser fit. If I ever buy this style again I will look for a softer upper material like suede or Birko-flor. As a woman with narrow feet the unisex sizing makes this sandal look awkwardly wide.

Not for people who actually have wide feet. These were simultaneously too long and way too narrow, and I got the regular, which is supposed to be "wide." Unwearable.

These sandals were not comfortable for me.
