I wear a 13’’ medium shoe normally. The 45 regular was tight widthwise putting pressure on outside bone on foot, the arch didn’t feel in right place and 3rd toe on right foot (larger foot) hit the front. Upon placing my feet into the 46 regular I immediately felt the difference In footbed. The arch was absolutely great feeling, in the correct position and no more side pressure. However the length was 3/4’’ pass my toes and I was already on the tightest strap hole. Justt standing there the sandales felt great but for walking around the house felt big. I was already on last strap hole and knew leather would stretch eventually making them more loose. Ordered a 46 narrow and they are not as big both widthwise and less space in front of toes, but the arch does not have the same great feeling as w/the 46 regular. In looking at both regular and narrow footbeds the arch in regular is definetely more pronounced. I really want a pair of Birks. I guess i’ll Have to compromise somewhere. Zappos’ service is great no matter what you order! I appreciate their fast and free shipping both ways. They are always my first and only choice for footwear.

Love Birks quality and thus color was perfect as well as the footbed. However despite having ordered a style marked “narrow to medium” I was still unable to adjust them to fit my narrow foot. I could have cut extra holes but then the extra leather would have hung way over the side of the shoe. Sorry for another return Zappos!

I'm not sure how I feel about these yet! They look very manly on my feet and I can't get used to that! I like a little feminity to my footwear

These are unisex. They are different than women's. The footbed by the toes is wider. I am returning them.

I was not impressed considering the price. They were way too big, even though it was my correct size (8 women's). They also felt very clompy and oversized in general.

Now while I love birks these were rather indifferent to me, I think I may have received a defective pair or possibly just my luck. There is a popping sound as I walked around the house. So I will be returning them.

I have really narrow feet so I ordered the narrows but they were still a little to big. In order for them to stay on I had to tighten the straps a lot. Whenever I where them without socks they cause really painful blisters.

I had to return them because the leather was too thick and was uncomfortable around my toe area plus I got a regular width and my foot looked like it was swimming in it. I exchanged it for the suede and in a narrow width and it worked out great.

I love the comfort and style of these sandals. Unfortunately, I had to return them because there was a big difference in the shades of the leather between the two sandals. One was dark while the other was mostly light. I will definitely reorder when they come back in stock.

Love the soft footbed, but the leather was too stiff/uncomfortable for me. I think it would take awhile to break these in. I prefer the Habana oiled leather instead.

Thought it might be time to upgrade the Birks but not with this pair. Soft footbed might not be for me since I've gotten so used to the traditional one. Raised area under the toes isn't as pronounced on the soft footbed. Returned.

Very comfortable, but even buckled on the tightest hole the straps were still way too loose. I had to return them.

Very BIG--top of toe more than 1" from the edge of the sandal--feet kept slipping forward so that my heel rested on the arch--very painful. Maybe they are mismarked? Seem comfortable if I can get the right fit. Even with straps pulled to the max, they barely touched the top of my feet. Professionally measured, I am just an 8 in length, med. width and a normal arch--you would not think I would have any trouble finding a good fit but I do. I am considering going down to a 38 Reg.--(7.5 wide) and hope I can wear these.

My shoes came very scuffed up-the leather looked in rough shaped.

Every time I wear these they give me blisters on the sides of my feet. Therefore, I barely wear them even though they look cute. My friend has the same problem with her Arizonas. They cause blisters.

Overall I feel they ran too large for me. I’m ordering a child’s sandal next. Took awhile to break in, which is to be expected.

A big Birk fan.. have had many. Birth the Tobacco leather, and am disappointed how hard the leather is... I’ve been wearing them all the time hoping it would soften... but it hasn’t... the leather rubs my foot. I still hold on to my old but comfy ones til I find a pair with softer leather. Prefer leather over suede.

I've had these for over 2 months and was hoping they would become more comfortable after wearing them. They hurt my toes and they make funky sounds when I wear them without socks. Very disappointed. I need the arch support, so I will keep them, but can only wear them with socks. Don't think I'll be buying any more Birkenstocks though.

I was hoping for a slip on shoe for house use with socks. Because of the suede lining, these would not slip on. Also there was the imprint of the previous buyers feet in the suede which I was surprised to see coming from Zappos. I felt these were basically too flat and the big wide straps were uncomfortable so I sent them back.

I ordered the Birkenstock Arizona sandals because the 3-strap sandal That I prefer is no longer available in leather. I also chose the soft footbed, something I've not worn in the past. This model of sandal feels larger than the 3 strap model, and the footbed is made of "suede" rather than the smooth leather I am accustomed to. I do not know if the suede is real leather or not, but the soles of my feet always feel damp and sweaty when I am wearing these Arizona sandals. They are only comfortable if I am wearing socks. They also look clunkier than the 3 strap sandal and are not nearly as comfortable. I regret buying these sandals and wish that I could return them.

These are my first pair of Birkenstocks and I am completely in love with them! The only problem is they were much larger than my normal size, so I suggest going a size down.

My rating is a 3 because American shoe companies should understand that the narrow footbed Birkenstock makes is actually for AAA-A widths, not A & B widths. I normally wear a regular/B shoe width, with the exception of some dress shoes or brands with narrow toe boxes.
