The bottom of my right foot hurts if the shoes footbed is not very foamy. The footbed on this sandal is not comfortable at all for my foot. Also, I have flat feet and the arch hurt my foot so bad that I could not wear them for more than 5 minutes. I read reviews where people say that it takes time for the sandal to get comfortable, but I know that it would never be comfortable for me. I purchased the Birkenstock Women's Arizona Essentials EVA Sandals from another source and they are much more comfortable. They are not leather though.

To uncomfortable for me. For that price I expected more.

I bought these shoes for my mom who has very wide feet & bad knees, hopeful a good pair of shoes would provide relief. The straps allow for sufficient adjustability to accommodate her foot, but the outer edge of the footbed is uncomfortable to her. She insists “they’re fine” but continues to wear her inexpensive off-brand sandals over these. My MIL had a similar issue despite having much narrower feet. I’m optimistic they’ll feel better after the cork adjusts a little but pain is a disappointing outcome after purchasing such a pricey pair of shoes. I recommend wearing them indoors a day or two to discover “pressure points” while in return window, just in case.

I bought my first pair of Birkenstock Gizehs four years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. They quickly molded to my feet and I wore them nonstop for months, including exclusively for a two week walking vacation while I was six months pregnant. My feet changed after both pregnancies (arches fell a bit, feet now a little bit wider - C width - across the tops of my feet) and my Gizehs were now uncomfortable almost immediately after putting them on. Initially, I tried to just reorder the Gizehs, but the widest part of my feet extends over the sides of them, which I don't like. I ordered the following sandals to try and replace the Gizehs: Yara - kept, love these and the ankle strap, definitely keeping them, feet do slide a little but nothing uncomfortable, will try tightening the straps, takes an extra minute to put them on due to the straps, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Granada - returning, uncomfortable both times I tried them on, thinking that it's the multiple cutouts in the straps (which look cute but hurt my skin if I try to walk), feet definitely fully fit on footbed Arizona - deciding, super comfortable trying on but they look so clunky, also feel like my feet slide forward a lot, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Mayari - deciding, super comfortable trying on, just wondering if they're too similar to the Yaras, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed

Too narrow in the toe area for me. The Florida and women’s Arizona birks seem more generous in the toe box. Sadly, these will be going back.

For someone that has always had a wide foot, I was quite surprised at the amount of extra space in the width of this sandal. It was so big, even with the strap on the last hole, that when raising my foot, there was ample space between the foot bed and the bottom of my foot.

I don't know if it was my imagination or not, but these were just too big even with the straps as tight as possible. Maybe the unisex ones are actually bigger? Anyway--they went back. Love all my other Birks though!

True to size, I am between women's size 10-10.5 in most all shoes so the 41 fits well. The is my second pair of Birkenstock Arizona (Soft Foot Bed) but these from Zappos don't feel like the foot bed is soft at all compared to my other pair that I bought in person at a shoe store. I also compared to another pair and just not the same. These feel like the regular foot bed kind, just too hard for my bony feet... Planning on returning, zappos return policy makes it easy.

So sad. I have been wanting some Birkenstock’s for years, since I was a teen a couple decades ago. I finally purchased them this week to find that, in the correct size for my foot, the front of the sandal angles too sharply from big to little toes and leaves my middle toe up on the lip of the sole. It’s definitely raised and very uncomfortable every time I step. There is no working into that. The rest of my toes were happy and comfortable. As well as the rest of my foot. But I can’t have any part of my foot irritated, and therefore must sadly send them back and hope someone makes comfy sandals like these with a more square toe area for my Roman foot shape. Thank you Zappos for having such great customer service! Always 6 out of 5 stars!

Always loved Birkenstocks but had to return these. It's not clear on the web pic that Brown Amalfi Leather is a VERY GLOSSY leather, like a patented leather. I exchanged these for the Oiled Habana which is like a nubuck leather which my son loves.

Was way to large and long for a 43. Needed to return for a smaller size.

Runs really big. I usually wear 6 but I am 4 on Birkenstock. Do not order wide size unless you have really wide feet. Excellent service from Zappos and easy to return, thank you!

Problem with my special order, is that they sent me the wrong size, 2 sizes too big. Doesn't anyone read the labels? So I had to return, someone got my size and now I had to special order again.

I ordered these thinking they would be a solution to a suctioning noise that the regular footbed was giving me. However, the fit on the soft footbed just doesn't feel as good to me. Overall, I have to wear the straps quite loose to accommodate for the softer footbed, and although they feel comfier at first, I was worried that the leather straps would stretch too much over time and I would have wound up with Birks far too loose to stay on. I ordered a pair or regular footbeds again and am sticking with those - more secure and supportive fit! I do think these would be great if you have soft or sensitive feet, as long as the fit is secure for you.

Unisex sizing is absolutely different from women's. I have a couple of pairs of Arizonas; I'm always a women's 38R. Ordered both the 38N and R. Sandals are shorter and wider than women's version. Narrow was perfect width for me, but sandal was just a little too short. One size up would definitely be too long for me, so back they went. As always, Zappos customer service was exceptional.

Not sure why my delivery was set for 6 days following my order with Zappos VIP. Have the rules changed?

Love Zappos, loved the look of these Birks, but the arch support felt like a rock in my shoe. Back they went.

This sandal looked like a Birkenstock but I think it is a fake. The footbed was barely soft and there was no comparison from my 3 year old pair that I bought straight from the Birkenstock website. The oiled leather scratched after only wearing it a couple times and I questioned when I first got them if it was real leather as now they can make fake look so real. I am not satisfied with this pair of shoes but at least I used my rewards and didn't pay full price.

Great for standing. For walking not so great. The leather is really nice.

These arrived SUPER scuffed. The leather looked scratched like someone took a key to it.

I wear a 8.5 shoe and followed the sizing instructions for a 41. Sorry to say that it was much too large. Had to return it.

I really wanted these sandals to work but the arch support was too much for my feet. The width was also more than I needed - I had the buckle set on the last hole.

I ordered these in my regular size of 38. They felt very big and sloppy due to the width. I should have read the reviews before ordering. I returned these and ordered a pair in the narrow width. They are perfect. So, if you are a woman with narrow or medium feet, consider the narrow width. It made all the difference in the fit of these great birks. Hooray for Zappos easy return policy and quick shipping.

Hoped to find comfort in these shoes but they were hard and I couldn’t detect any cushioning at all.
