I was super disappointed that the Ultraventure pro disappeared from the line up. Topo support responded helpfully and said that the shoe was replaced with the Traverse. I bought them and I've been trying, but they are truly not a running shoe. The sole is super stiff, risking ankle rolling on technical trails and making these really bad for mixed terrain (like running road to a trail). These may be fine for the long distance walkers, but they aren't a running shoe.

I'm so tired of shoes hitting my ankle bone. The sidewall is too high.

I hike regularly both on trails near me and in the White Mountains. After surgery Morton's Neuroma surgery I found Topo and really love them. Recently I bought the Traverse and they are grippy, lightweight, comfy for clambering over rocks and roots and soil.....but after a short amount of use, the back inner heel of both shoes is shredding. Pretty discouraging. Has the quality of manufacturing tanked? Still waiting to hear back from customer service.

They are very comfortable for hiking at higher temperatures. On average I hike once a week 5-10 miles. However, already after 6 months the fabric started to rip at the seam between the fabric and the sole part. Not something you would expect from hiking shoes in this price range. I hope Topo comes back on this with a replacement.

These supposedly replaced another discontinued pair of Topo trail runners that I'd used for thru-hiking. Those were absolutely amazing. Switched to these after talking to Topo about the discontinuation and I've had nothing but problems. My heel skin sloughed off completely, lost two toenails, and blisters galore. This after NEVER having feet probs. Totally ended my second thru-hike prematurely. Not sure what they did here but it's not working for me.

I wanted to love these shoes. The toe box is amazing. They dry super quick. The protected toes are top notch. The problem is that the inner ankle collar began bending and creasing after 3 miles, and by 6 miles, the fabric in front of the bend had completely split open. I'm glad I took them out on a test hike before hitting a much longer trail. Will be returning and trying a different Topo, as everything else was great.
