I already have a pair of Hoka shoes that fit like gloves and eased any sciatic hip pain. I wanted another in a different style, so I bought a pair of the Transport GORE-TEX. The second pair did not fit comfortably at all after being worn for one day and did ease any pain.
I'd also recommend:

So bummed because I LOVE my Hokas (have two pairs!!) but I bought these for my boyfriend and after two weeks the soles are already separating from the rest of the shoe. Not sure if this is a one-time thing or if all pairs are like this.

3 days after purchasing my transport GTX my left shoe started making a clicking sound whenever I tried to walk. It went away for a day then came back on and off. Very embarrassing when your walking at work and people hear you coming from a distance.

My transport 9.5 D bought from Cabel's are great!! Ordered online Transport GTX same size (9.5 D) and they were tight and too narrow; had to return them.

I always wanted a pair of "not so running shoe" look Hoka. I thought this would be the one. However after tried two pairs(sizing up 0.5 and 1 respectively) I had to return both. The sole is perfect, sweet balance of cushioning and support. Looks sleek as well, not as bulky as other models. But it makes this flip flop noise when walking, you can both hear and feel it. Deadly awkward when walking in a quiet place(such as your office) and extremely annoying when you walk alone on a trail. And then the fitting is also not friendly to people with wide feet. I sized up 1 fully size and it's still squeezing my feet with loosest laces. I hope they make a v2 which addresses both problems.

This is the first pair of Hokas I have bought, and I finally took the plunge because they were waterproof. My family all love Hokas and say they are really comfortable. Unfortunately these are not just uncomfortable, they are e painful to wear. I think it's the waterproof fabric on the front third of the shoe: it doesn't stretch at all and is so restrictive on my toes that I can't wear them for more than an hour. These were expensive shoes, so I keep trying to wear them, but next time I will opt for a version that is not waterproof.

Purchased the Transport GTX to replace the Rincon 3s I've been using for long-distance (4+ miles) daily walking workouts. I was surprised at how stiff and non-compliant they felt. I experienced an annoyingly loud "heel whack" (the same noise from which flip flops get their name) on my left foot that I couldn't adjust out. I've had several pairs of Rincon 3s and Bondi's and the Transports felt much narrower through to forefoot to the point that it created some irritation after 3-4 miles. I tried to be patient and used them for a couple of weeks to see if they'd stretch out but no luck. I returned them for exchange to Bondi 8s.

Nice looking shoe, but was way too narrow for me. I had to return, as they were not comfortable.

If stability is your thing, I suppose this is good. Comfort? Not a comfortable shoe. Has a strange feeling footbed. Very narrow. I normally wear 10.5 2E. These come only in D width, so I went for size 12, which works with Nike. Here? Nope, very narrow sneaker. Very disappointed. After "Dark Brandon" got a pair, which I guess he got for stability I thought I'd try a pair. I'll continue to look for support with comfort, which this shoe was a major disappointment for.

Love the look and style of the Transporter. Unfortunately, this particular model runs small. I would recommend sizing an entire size up. I have been wearing these shoes for approximately 2 weeks thinking that they will eventually stretch out, but that has not happened.

I wear extra wide shoes. For an upcoming Alaska trip waterproof shoes are highly recommended. These are very nice looking shoes & the laces are great. I can fit into these but am definetly cramped. But they are waterproof. I bought them & guess that i am stuck.

Stylish shoe and more stable than the Clifton 9. Unfortunately, the shoe is very snug around where the second shoelace loop is. I learned that this is because the tongue at that part of the shoe is sewn to the rest of the shoe. I even went up half an inch to adjust for this, but the shoe was still very uncomfortable. I only felt comfort once I cut the rest of the tongue away from the shoe, which defeats the purpose of the GTX. Also, because of the materials used to make the upper part of the shoe, the shoe makes a weird sound when I walk. The sound comes from where my feet and toes bend. Think of the sound rubber rain boots make as parts of it bends/collapses and goes back to its original form. If you ever find these GTX shoes in store, try it for yourself. Hold the heel in one hand, and the toes in the other. Simulate walking as you bend the heel or toes up.

I wear a women's 11 W, but Hoka does not make shoes with Gore Tex in women's wide sizes. So, I decided to try this men's shoe, as a men's medium is usually like a women's wide, with the risk that the heel may be too wide. I tried men's sizes 9.5 and 10. Both would have worked as far as length, but the shoe was simply too narrow. I returned both, and I don't think sizing up to a 10.5 would work. Unless you have a particularly narrow foot, don't bother with this shoe.

I want to love these. They are everything I'm looking for in a Hoka - style, cushioning, the cool no-lace laces, and most of all, the gore tex. But they are SO narrow! I tried wearing them in the office for two days, with minimal walking and even just sitting down my feet were killing me. Come on Hoka! I'm begging for a gore tex shoe in a wide width! Take my money for that now! But in the meantime, I'll be sending these back. Sad face.

Like others, I returned my pair because they hurt my toes and instep. This was disappointing because other than the tightness, the shoes felt wonderful to walk on.

I simply walk in them and wear them to work. They squeak with every step I take. I feel like Chucky Finster from rugrats. Customer service is really bad. They simply told me to put talc powder in between the slip and my shoe. Didn't help. And that's just the icing on top. Multiple people on Reddit say the same thing about the squeaking. The rubber bottoms are peeling off and the rubber toe part is peeled off not even a year into owning them. I spent so much on these shoes but I dare not send them in and claim for my warranty because I have read so many Reddit posts about people being denied for much worse and they are really my only pair of shoes, so I can't be without them. Just read the Reddit posts about hoka warranty and you will see. This really soured my taste for this brand and will not be buying more in the future. One would think a company that blew up so much would have better customer service for loyal customers. Truly disappointing.

I bought these shoes and from the day i received them they squeaked loudly when i walked. I embarrassedly wore them for a week in hopes of it going away. It didnt so i contacted customer service. They suggested i use baby powder inside under the insole due to moisture possibly causing the sound. I tried that and it didnt help at all. I contacted customer service again. They told me i could send the shoes back (3-5 business days) and once they receive them allow up to 10 business day for them to ship me another pair which will take another 3-5 business after they finally ship them to get to me. Ridiculous. I pay over $200 for a pair of shoes and im supposed wait weeks without the pair of shoes because a defect that was not my fault. This is very poor of customer service. I will never buy a pair of Hoka shoes again.

I just received these shoes, and upon opening the box, I immediately noticed a clear defect on the right shoe. The upper material is visibly warped and uneven, especially around the toe area. The sidewall also appears distorted and wavy, making the shoe look poorly constructedalmost like a QC-rejected item that was mistakenly shipped. While I do appreciate the comfort and light weight of the shoe, I'm really disappointed by the quality issue on this pair. Because of this, I've decided to return it right away.

this shoe squeak randomly. Sometimes the left, sometimes the right. Never when cold. Tried different inserts, talc, cornstarch they just squeak with each step. Annoying, irritating and just plain wrong. 2 of 3 hokas have done this to me so thats it

One of the loops that hold the laces broke within 1 month of normal wear. One on each shoe, so they are both now uncomfortable to wear. In my opinion this is due o poor design and too little fabric being used on the strap leading to fraying too close to the seam attaching them to the shoe. This is a design flaw. I shipped the shoes back to be inspected, but the warranty team declared the damage as 'normal wear and tear' and shipped them back. The broken shoes are not eligible for warranty. They will not replace or refund for poorly designed and broken shoes. I will not be purchasing from Hoka again.

I bought these because I needed a new pair of shoes, and I am on my feet most of the day. I walk home through a major city, so I figured these would be perfect. I was wrong. For the first few months, they were incredibly loud, squeaking every single step. After the squeaking went away, I noticed the rubber tip and sole of the shoes were starting to come loose. Shortly after this, the connecting fabric that the shoe lace goes through completely came undone, so there are no lace connections in the middle of the shoe. I ended up going back to the pair of running shoes I had before this pair that were in better shape after multiple years of wear. For the price I paid, this quality was absolutely terrible, and I can't recommend these shoes to anyone.

I bought this shoe to help my plantar faciitus . It helped tremendously So much so I needed a second pair after wearing out the first pair in 6 months. The second pair started this horrible squeaking after a month. The squeak was not from the rubber touching the floor like at a basketball game. The squeak was coming from inside the shoe with every step you hear squeak , squeak squeak. Its horrible . It is driving me crazy . People hear it and wonder whats wrong with you. I was at my wits end and needed to try something .I started making incisions on the bottom tread about 2 vertical and 3 horizontal to try to loosen up something . I really didnt know what would happen but this did not help. I called Hoka and they said this voided the warranty. Just my luck. They need to redesign this. I believe there is a spot on the tread that isnt bonded correctly. Too expensive for this nonsense
