Shoes were great for the first hour or so of wearing, but then the pain started along the right top of the shoe. Loosening the laces did not help--they were just too tight across the top. I will be returning--unfortunately.

Shoe was very tight across the arch of my foot. Left a red mark on the top of foot after wearing for only 11 minutes

I really liked the idea of the Transport GTX, it's what I was looking for from Hoka, but unfortunately it is not designed well and the quality is inconsistent.
Before purchasing, I did try both the Transport and Transport GTX in a store. I have slightly wide feet so normally I purchase a normal size D. The GTX version of this shoe definitely feels tighter on the sides and the top of the feet (where laces are) when compared to the normal transport. So if you don't care about GTX, you can try the normal Transport for more comfort. The first pair I ordered online actually felt tighter than the one I tried in the store though, so I ordered a replacement which was less tight somehow. Weird.
However, the replacement had the annoying flopping/plopping sound that a few other reviews have mentioned. It sounds like a flip flop. This sound comes from the upper material of the toe box folding and unfolding as you walk, and for me it was only from the right shoe. I was hoping the sound would go away after some time, but that didn't happen, and sadly I had to return the shoes because of this annoying sound. I noticed if I wear two socks, the flopping sound can go away, but then the shoe was way too tight for me and uncomfortable.
The squeaking sound from the vibram rubber is temporary though, it goes away after you walk a few miles in the shoes.I hope Hoka fixes these issues in the second version of this shoe, because I really wanted to keep them.

The shoes are comfortable, but the left shoe has white marks on the front and bottom sole. I tried to see if it would come off but it wouldn't.

I stand and walk over 15k steps a day. Have purchased many Hokas but this one is too narrow.

Left shoe has noticible sqeaking sound when walking normal. Sound is coming from forefoot area. Its very strange. I thought it was moisture build up since shoe is GTX, but the right shoe is perfectly fine. I tried spraying with shoe powder, but that helped only temporarily. Otherwise i like everything about this shoe. Please help, i dont want to have to return

This is a comfortable shoe with good support and good cushioning. I sent it back because I didn't like the material the upper is made of--it feels like plastic.

The shoes were perfect - comfort, looks, waterproof, great for walks, everything - but after about 10 days they developed a "clop" sound like you're wearing flip-flops. Not too loud but annoying on quiet walks. Had to return. Trying the Clifford GTX now.

Exceptional build quality as usual for Hoka. After 1 week of daily wear my only concern is that this pair are narrower than a comparable Hoka model I ordered (8.5D U.S.). After 10 hours on my feet I find they are uncomfortable and I am very relived when I take them off, I immediately put on my other Hokas (same size different model) and the difference is very noticeable. Perhaps these are either mislabeled in size or in the wrong box. I hope Hoka can sort this out.

I tried them on for a few days, walking around the house. They felt tight as I thought the shoes would since there was no wide option on the size 10's. I needed to break them in but find it a little uncomfortable.
The other thing is the flip-flop sound when walking. It started being more noticeable on the second day. I am an older gentleman who has other Hoka shoes that fit perfectly but they are size 10 wide. I am not sure if that makes a difference in the funny sound coming from these pair of shoes so I cannot say what is the root cause.

For what the shoe costs I expected much better. I had the a long series of storms to try them out, gave them a good test. My older rain wear felt much better. Maybe the process of making them shoe water proof needs some revamping

I have purchased about 25 Hokas over the years. This one is just poorly designed. The frontal lacing is ugly and awkward to use and seems to serve no real purpose. The single shoelace is very long and, again, seems impractical. I love Hokas, but this one is a disaster of design/execution. The shoe itself is very well made and fits.

Great color and they seem easier to keep clean than other models with this color (Eggnog).
Length is fine in my usual Hoka size, but it is cutting off circulation towards the mid-front area. With Birkenstocks I have to buy wide sizes.. first time I've ever had shoes fit lengthwise while being too narrow.

Sorry Hoka, wanted to love this shoe, but it fell short in a couple areas. Runs very narrow and I have really narrow feet. Foot bed is extremely shallow as well, which made the overall fit of the shoe tight and uncomfortable. Sizing up wouldn't had helped as the length was fine. Color was nice (greenish) and it came with set of real shoe laces which was a nice surprise. Wish the fit was better, but had to return.

Much too narrow, no wide option available. Same size as my Clifton & Bondi sneakers which fit great, but this one is too tight.

Wide width was great. Shoes were the squeakiest I've ever worn. But size 9.5 felt more like 9.

If you are considering this purchase, know the toe box is not like a pair of normal Hokas. They are much narrower. If you need a spacious toe box, you might want to consider something else. I'm regretting this purchase. Other than that, they are a nice cusioned pair of Hokas.
