This shoes is very comfortable. The only problem i have is that its to narrow for a regular width. I have no problem with my other HOKA shoes that are regular in width.

Pros:
- Fully waterproof (I dumped 8 cups of water on them)
- comfortable (I have plantar fasciitis, these shoes do not hurt my feet)
- breathable, they don't make my feet sweat
Cons:
- The tongue of the shoe is not wide enough, there is a very, very tiny spot where water WILL leak through on both shoes and get on your socks.
- Almost like a leather shoe, the fabric gets wrinkles.
I am a 11 in woman's and bought the men's 9.5 and it fit well. Go with your real shoe size. these shoes do stretch when you break them in.

Purchased this as a general purpose shoe in inclement weather. I haven't been able to put it through its paces in terms of its weatherproof-ness or durability. Cushioning is solid. Grip is great. I love the quick toggle laces, and the general appearance of the shoe.
Being Gore-Tex, it is of course warmer than a non-weatherproof shoe, and you feel it the most after a long day with your shoes on.
My biggest complaint is the snugness of the mid-foot area. Even with the laces fully loosened, it is very snug on the top of the mid-foot area in a way I have not often experienced in any other shoes. I do not have a high-volume foot, nor is the shoe otherwise too small, as I have sufficient room in the toe-box and in front of my toe as well. It was not quite a deal-breaker - I am willing to see if it further loosens up on break-in, and I otherwise like the shoe. But for me it's a notable issue.

The shoe is well made, but for a men's wide, this was much narrower than I expected. It is especially narrow over the arch and instep. As a woman with a wide foot I was told that a men's shoe in my size would be the equivalent to a women's wide and a men's wide like a women's extra wide. This certainly was not the case with these shoes. I am able to wear them, but they begin to hurt my feet after a period of time.
Disappointed,

I loved the wide fit and happy Hoka has been adding more wide models to their product line. In the past, it was only New Balance that had a decent wide shoe. And living in Miami, Gore-tex is a must. However, after 6 months, the pull-on loop broke after normal use. I only buy shoes with a pull-on strap or loop. I submitted a warranty request to replace but a bit worried they haven't fixed the quality issue.

Shoes just arrived. Nice looking and seem well made, but they feel very narrow and cramped at toes. Will return.

These are very plush. They work well as walking and running shoes for me. My only concern with them is they make an annoying plopping noise somewhere near the toe box. This noise has persisted since the first time wearing them. I was hoping they would break in however the noise is consistently there every step I take. It happens as I'm completing the walking motion and rolling off the toe box into my next step.

Comfortable. Well-cushioned. Nicely built.
But calling these shoes "waterproof" is fiction.
I stepped outside in light rain for three minutesa walk to the mailbox and back. When I returned, my socks were completely soaked. Not damp. Not borderline. Soaked.
If a Gore-Tex shoe can't survive a brief drizzle without failing, the waterproofing claim is meaningless. These may be fine as dry-weather trainers, but they are absolutely unreliable in rain.
Disappointing performance from a shoe that markets itself on protection.

If your feet sweat at all do not buy this shoe. Once there is any moisture on the inside of the shoe, the shoes start squeaking. They're very comfortable and because of that I refunded and tried a 2nd pair and they squeak the exact same.

In my experience with this shoe. I absolutely love and hate it, while the shoe is extremely comfortable (in my opinion) they do not last long at all. I'm paying a premium price for a shoe to last a couple of months at best. Mind you I've only used these for work, I drive for living so it not like I'm walking a whole lot. If Hoka could fix this issue, it would be a no brainer for me. Looks are great and comfortable and supportive.. the shoe just doesn't last.

I purchased these Hoka waterproof shoes for a European cruise. Wore them daily and never got used to them. Much stiffer than my other Hokas. If I didn't tie them tight and double knot the laces, they'd get loose and my heels would ride up. They also were "noisy". If I was in the 30 day return period, they'd be going back.

I can't really comment on the performance of the shoe as I had to return it immediately after receiving it and trying it on. I have a pair of the regular (non-GTX) version of this shoe and like it very much. Very comfortable for walking.
I ordered the same exact size in the GTX and it was way too tight, like could barely get it on tight. The regular was a bit snug but still fit fine, and fit even better after a couple of wears and they loosened up.
I would recommend the shoe, just if one is looking for the GTX version to size up, or go wide. (can't recall right now if it comes in wide?)

Initially, this shoe was perfect for the multiple uses I had intended to wear it: Walking around campus, a little light trail walking, running errands, etc. The GTX material means it's not very breathable during the summer months, but it's moderate plushiness makes up for it in terms of comfort. To me, it was a versatile, all-around, great sneaker.
However, one of the shoes randomly developed a very loud "squeak" about 4 months after purchase. I believe an air pocket developed in the sole, but I cannot be certain and despite my research, I cannot make it stop. Unfortunately, the squeakiness has made the shoe nearly unwearable as I have to walk in an uncomfortable way to make it stop.
As I stated, I initially loved these shoes. They were everything I had wanted and expected. But the squeak drives me, and the people around me, so insane I honestly don't know if I'd ever invest in Hokas again.

Toe lip is already separating from shoe. They are comfortable but I did not expect poor adhesion of materials w a brand new expensive shoe

These shoes were smaller than the average size 9. The width was to narrow and.I do not have wide feet. Walking seemed to be better but just sitting feet hurt

Shoes were great for the first hour or so of wearing, but then the pain started along the right top of the shoe. Loosening the laces did not help--they were just too tight across the top. I will be returning--unfortunately.

I really liked the idea of the Transport GTX, it's what I was looking for from Hoka, but unfortunately it is not designed well and the quality is inconsistent.
Before purchasing, I did try both the Transport and Transport GTX in a store. I have slightly wide feet so normally I purchase a normal size D. The GTX version of this shoe definitely feels tighter on the sides and the top of the feet (where laces are) when compared to the normal transport. So if you don't care about GTX, you can try the normal Transport for more comfort. The first pair I ordered online actually felt tighter than the one I tried in the store though, so I ordered a replacement which was less tight somehow. Weird.
However, the replacement had the annoying flopping/plopping sound that a few other reviews have mentioned. It sounds like a flip flop. This sound comes from the upper material of the toe box folding and unfolding as you walk, and for me it was only from the right shoe. I was hoping the sound would go away after some time, but that didn't happen, and sadly I had to return the shoes because of this annoying sound. I noticed if I wear two socks, the flopping sound can go away, but then the shoe was way too tight for me and uncomfortable.
The squeaking sound from the vibram rubber is temporary though, it goes away after you walk a few miles in the shoes.I hope Hoka fixes these issues in the second version of this shoe, because I really wanted to keep them.

The shoes are comfortable, but the left shoe has white marks on the front and bottom sole. I tried to see if it would come off but it wouldn't.
