Altra continues to make shoes with below quality materials & I am just about done with giving them another chance. I have been wearing Altra for about 4 years nowdesign, fit & form are the things I love about Altra, but I have never worn out a pairthey always fall apart: Torin, the outer-sole always came unglued from mid-sole/cushion, Olympus, the mid-sole/cushion would be exposed under the arch (not covered by the outer sole/vibram) and would tear up very early (after just a few hikes) & the final straw is the Via Olympus, my favorite shoe, the sock liner on the heel has started ripping out after just a couple monthsthe shoes look brand new everywhere elseI have lost patienceevery next generation shoe feels like it is made with better quality, but something always falls apart, comes apart or rips out very early in the use (usually within 6-8 weeks).

The cushion on this shoe is great, but the toe box tapers too quickly and squishes my toes together and slam into the front of the shoe.

Ordered VIA Olympus 2 for max cushion, but they're too firmlike Torin 8. Both use EGO MAX, which hurt my feet and didn't break in. Torin 5 EGO was much softer. Topo Atmos is more comfortable.

My doctor recommended Altra shoes after diagnosing metatarsalgia. I loved the shoes at first and definitely helped with pain. However, after less than a month the material on the inside heel is ripped causing blisters so I'm no longer able to wear and past the refund date. I've never had this issue with other shoes. Very disappointed in this brand. Not worth the $$$.

I put feels too narrow, I wont say they are narrow, I ordered these online, when I finally put them on, the way they fit is just not for my foot. Hard to explain but it feels like these shoes have some type of arch or raised part under the outside, middle of the foot. It is really uncomfortable and makes me walk differently causing me pain. I have the Torin and they work well and I have the experience shoes and they work better with the toe drop. These just arent for me.

I wore these shoes maybe 5 times and the heel started to rip. It caused a blister near my Achilles.

The Olympus 2 shoes promised comfort and durability, but my experience has been disappointing. After less than 40 miles, the cloth in the heel area began to rip, which was alarming given my previous shoe experiences with other brands (New Balance, Sketchers, Brooks), none of which had such quality concerns. Considering their premium price, Altra's dismissive response to my concerns about the premature wear further compounded my disappointment. I'm particularly dismayed because these shoes were among the best fitting I've tried. These shoes failed to meet my expectations for durability and customer service. I cannot recommend them until Altra decides to stand behind their product.

The shoe the looks awesome, but the midsole is too narrow. This leads the arch digging into my foot. The blister on arch of foot is pretty painful after a run.

Was a fan of the torins but needed more cushion for my longer runs. I wanted to like these but they are too narrow along the arch support. Feels like stepping on a rock the entire run and makes my feet hurt. Couldn't run a mile before feeling the pain on my feet. I had to return these and look for something else.

Very disappointed. Purchased at the recommendation of Surgeon. First time with Altra shoes. After just 6weeks of casual walking, right heel wore out. Warranty replacement denied. Switching to Hoka.

The shoe has arch support much more than Altra shoes and is too narrow at the mid section of the foot. I am big fan of Altra but had to return these. Even though they fixed the cushioning issue at the mid sole (which was the issue with the first version) and these are plush shoes but Altra is deviating from their original design. I was so looking forward to this shoe to replace my Hoka Bondi but probably will have till v3 and hopefully thru will go back to their original design.

Runs small. They don't exchange. If you gift someone a shoe and it doesn't fit they have to return it and the money will go back on your CC. Meaning they then have to contact you to ask you to rebuy them a gift. Humiliation and awkward. Terrible experience for a gift.

upper separated from the sole on the outside of shoe after 3rd run. I've never had this happen with any running shoe before. Very disappointed!

After about 4 days of wear, the top material has stretched so much, this shoe no longer has any support and feels like I'm running on top of two unstable pieces of foam.
