I love these shoes! My feet and back don't hurt while wearing these shoes. The only thing I don't like is the color selection. Color selection needs work. These are the only shoes I've ever had that didn't require a break in period. I put them on right out of the box and go all day.

As the title says, it's my favorite shoe. I have a number of issues with my feet and after having tried many shoes, this is the only one I enjoy wearing. Everything else is painful or uncomfortable. I hope Altra doesn't discontinue this line of shoe!

These sneakers are great; it took me about a mile to get used to them, as it's my first Altra and zero-drop sneaker. I will definitely be buying more!

Got this shoe while training for my first 50K. Fresh out of the box wore this shoe for my long run (18 miles). Didn't even need to break them in. I had no issues at all during the run and my feet felt amazing. They lasted about 300ish miles and have been the best running shoe Ive had... About to buy my 2nd pair. Highly recommend!

At about 100 miles on this pair and it seems fairly solid as a daily runner. I am almost 200 lbs and run an average of 50 miles a week. The only issue so far is some light tearing around the rear of the ankle/upper heel area which I suspect will only get worse with time. The cushion is great without making this show feel too squishy or unresponsive. The lacing allows a pretty good lock on the foot but I can't get it to completely lock in my heel; probably why the fabric is starting to tear. Once it gets wet it does not drain very well at all and the squish becomes pretty annoying, but I think this might just be a "me" problem because I sweat pretty bad; the shoes do dry out fairly quickly in the sun though. The insoles are "meh" at best and I are already beginning to flake apart at the heel. I suspect I will have to change these out before at some point before retiring the shoe. The outsole is already beginning to show signs of wear in the mid-foot section but the rest of it still looks solid at 100 miles. All in all not a bad shoe for everyday runs.

Best running shoes EVER. I so hope Altra changes course and doesn't discontinue. Instant near minute per mile increase in my pace when I got these shoes. AMAZING!!! PERFECT!!! ALTRA keep making them!!

I ordered these in black and green because they have my size in men's! I like how they look. Like in previous reviews the black is very grey in person. I do wish it were true black. Vanity aside- I have been in pain with a heel spur/foot pain and with some research found these shoes. Wearing these shoes, is the best my foot has felt in weeks. I hope they stay this comfy for a long time. I have wide flat feet. I ordered 10.5 in men's and I wear 12 wide in womens. They are fine, you could size up half size if you want wiggle room.

I've been running in the Escalante 4 and some minimalist shoes heavily over the last month and half as I get back into running more frequently, after giving it up due to work demands for a few years. I started to have some issues with my left leg/ankle and ordered these overnighted hoping I could keep up my schedule and the miles I was putting in. I ran a half marathon the first time I tried them and then worked all afternoon in the yard in my Lone Peaks. I feel like I'll be able to put in my regular run tomorrow too. These are a lifesaver for when more natural shoes just aren't an option due to injuries, weakness, etc. As for sizing, I am a 12 in all three Altra shoes I've referenced.

I run 35-40 km per week. I have ALWAYS worn extra wide shoes but these "original footbed" shoes feel SO GOOD! I don't even think about my feet anymore. I don't use the inserts or orthotics that I've used for YEARS. These shoes are amazing! If I'm taking away points, it's going to be for durability. Took a tumble on a run and put holes in the upper where they hit the pavement. Additionally, I can see wear in the heel area already and I've only worn these for maybe 6 weeks...

I walk on concrete floors and asphalt all day everyday at work. Upwards of 20,000 steps daily. These shoes are AWESOME! No foot or lower back pain since day one of wearing them. I will DEFINITELY buy again.

When are new sizes coming out? This is peak running season as you know and it sucks that I can't find my shoe. Thank you!!

I'm a 8.5 in the Escalante racers and got these in the same size however def run a half size too small. My toes hit the front but I decided to keep them. I've put 350+ miles on these shoes and their cushion and support are finally feeling flat now. I got plantar fasciitis almost a year ago because I went from 100% trail to 100% road. In two weeks with the racers I got PF in my right heel. These shoes allowed me to keep running, increase my mileage from 20, to 30's for weeks on end and peaked at 40 mpw. (I'm a newer runner). Truly an amazing shoe in terms of extreme comfort to help you stack up miles if dealing with an injury such as PF or any other foot tendonitis from impact. I truly don't have any complaints outside of my toes hitting the front, so I'd recommend a half size bigger. I would certainly buy these again. Altra, can we restock the 9's in white please?

I wear these shoes for every day use, walking and comfort. I have bilateral knee replacements, so I need good shoes on my feet. I buy men's shoes 3/4 of the time due to fit and the vibrant colors versus women's colors. I have bought probably 12 different pairs of this shoe over the past few years. Love them!

I love these shoes. Its my second pair. The first pair re still going strong, but I wanted a different color, so I bought a second pair. I've recommended to several of my friends and family who have feet issues.

True to size. Was nervous at first because my first long run I got a slight blister but they were fairly new still so I broke them in a little more and they are so comfy. Glad I didn't give up on em!

I got these for walking starting at 270 lbs they have held up for a year and now have become a casual shoes for everyday use. Great shoes especially if you have neuropathy. Comfortable and reliable.

I normally wear a women's size 10 in the Via Olympus 2 but I am not a fan of the color selection for the women's shoes. I ordered the men's size 8.5 and they are a perfect fit. Comfortable right out of the box. For me there was no break in period needed.

I wear these shoes every day to work, running around, etc. I had a friend who recommended them and I'm so thankful. They've helped my back pain, and my foot pain. I will only buy these from now on.

Perfect starter shoe for my new running goals. I'm a new runner and wanted something comfy and wide in the toe and this pair has been perfect so far! I look forward to putting a few hundred miles in over the next year!
