I'm a 67 year old male runner. I've ran 3 marathons in the distant past. For the last several years, I've had problems with plantar fasciitis, shin splints, knee pain, etc. that has kept me from running long distances. With my first pair, I still didn't run long distances, but tried to be more consistent with my weekly runs of shorter lengths. I've had no problems as mentioned above. I'm now training for a half marathon and am hoping these shoes are the answer to my problems.

Fits great so comfortable

I live in my Altras. I wear them walking, exercising at the gym, during everyday activities and have even purchased a black pair to wear for church and special occasions. I like the Olympus, now Olympus 2 because of the incredible fit, cushioning and support.

I purchased these shoes to address knee pain I experienced while walking. The fit and width are excellent, offering great comfort and support. The firm sole promotes proper foot strike, completely relieving my knee pain. I'm so impressed with these shoes that I plan to keep buying them as long as they're available.

Great shoes. Recommended at running shoe store. I have bone spurs at big toes. Greatly reduced foot pain. 4th pair I've bought. Usually wear 8.5, bought 9.5 in Altra.

with the proper merino wool socks these fit my fussy 76 year old feet like a glove. I use them for daily 2 mile walk on LA River bike trail or Long Beach beach walkway. mid foot could be slightly wider. The laces that come with your shoes are always too long and I have to buy new ones before I can wear them. it would be nice if you could include extra shorter laces

Love the ultrasound. One posture for running and one for walking. Super comfortable@

My Dr recommended this shoe and I love it so much! No more foot pain! However, the material on the inside at the heel continues to get a hole. I have to get a new pair every 30-60 days because of it. they rub blisters. I walk around 5 miles a day. The shoe is still in great shape it's just the blister causing holes as to why I can't keep wearing them.

Now have 4 pairs of these shoes. Feel like they are custom made for 71 year old feet. Love the firm yet cushioned comfort, the original shape, the zero drop. Would buy more it I had the money. They are my go to daily wear shoes, my walking shoes, and use my black pair when more formal dress is required. My only regret is the choices in the original fit seem to be shrinking, and the other shapes dont seem to fit me properly. Dont want a 4mm drop, as my balance is perfect with the zero drop shoes. That said, this review is for a shoe I truly appreciate, and 5 star rating is too low for a shoe that has made my quality of life so much better, thanks to Altra.

I am a high mileage hiker and trail runner and for years, i've struggled to find shoes that fit my feet correctly. A year ago I decided to purchase both the Via Olympus 2 (road) and Olympus 6 (trail) and they have completely changed my running. The fit and comfort is the best I've ever experienced by far. The toe box is so well designed and the heel pock is outstanding....plenty of cushion and zero issues with hot spots or blisters, even for long distance. Highly recommended! Awesome job Ultra!

This is my favorite long run shoe!

Been running in Torins and Paradigms for ages. The older I get the more cushion I need while also retaining the zero drop. I'm completely satisfied and Altra's Olympus continues to maintain the same standard of Altra excellence that I have come to expect over the last two decades.

The Via Olympus 2 is the best shoes I have ever had. I worked with a personal trainer to deal with foot problems. After switching to these, I have been able to get my feet healthy. They fit great, and they are comfortable. They even work in a restaurant environment. The Torin 5 Leather says "slip-resistant," but my experience is that they are not, but the Via Olympus 2 are. I highly recommend these shoes for any application.

I just hit 200 miles in them, and they are holding up great. No issues. I was worried that they would be too bulky and heavy. They've been a pleasure to run in. Here's to 200 more miles!

I use these shoes for work and daily wear. Seems to be helping my feet. My feet are not hurting as bad when I come home in the evenings after working 10 to 12 hours. been wearing my shoes for a couple of months now they seem to be holding up very well. I'm very rough on my shoes.

I use these for walking and they feel great. I feel like I'm on top of them and stable with the toe room and the zero drop. The most I can say about these shoes is that I can't wait for the VIA Olympus 3 to come out so they can be my next pair of walking shoes! Thank you Altra!

I love my Via Olympus 2. I use them for walking and working out at the gym. Very comfortable and perfect fit! I'll be taking them to Paris and plan on getting lots of walking mileage out of them!

Great shoe, extremely comfortable. True neutral shoe. Only thing is I bought the black ones. It is not true black all over. Logo is more charcoal, and there are some dark grey parts, nonetheless A+ shoe!

Great shoe right out of the box. I've had the Via Olympus 2 for about 4 months now. Not able to run anymore (knees burned out) but have walked miles & miles in these in Spain, New Orleans Jazz Fest, dog walking, etc. More boxy than any of the other prs. I've had in the past but very roomy, cushiony and comfy. I have several prs. of Altras and this is one of the best yet! Podiatrist recommended (I just happen to be one:).

I own a dozen other Altra shoes. This is the only brand I buy. The fit and feel are always great. The VIA Olympus 2 is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I coached XC at the high school and junior college level. I've worn many brands, and this particular shoe is by far the best. My running days are over, but I am a daily walker. I was so impressed with this shoe that I bought a second pair, in a different color. Don't make any changes to the shoe. It is marvelous.

This is the first pair of high cushion shoes that I've ever owned. Really happy with them; I may be biased because I don't have prior experience to contrast with, but would definitely recommend.

I'm on my feet for 9 hours I'm 61 and overweight and have severely flat feet. My feet were hurting my ankles were real bad with tendinitis. Bought a pair, my daughter and son in law have the same exact pair and they are runners and love them. It has truly helped my feet and ankles it's like walking on cushions. Best and most comfortable pair of sneakers or shoes I've ever had. I would buy another pair in a heartbeat.

These shoes are very comfortable and durable and I will buy them again. Love the toe box!!

I have over 300miles on these, and they still feel great. I bought the white pair, and they're getting a bit dirty but are otherwise in good shape. They feel great, give me a lot of recovery cushion!
