Love this sandal!! Time to replace my original Havana Gizeh sandals, so when I saw these, I ordered right away!! I love the “Big Buckle” style, the color (I got cognac) and the nice quality leather. I was a little concerned that the leather footbed would be slippery because I’m used to suede, but no issues as of yet! (I've only worn them in the house so far) Can’t wait for warmer weather!! Highly recommend. Will definitely order another pair!!

I love this shoe. I bought 2 pair. Last year I bought some wet use ones so they would not get wrecked in the water. I lost one of the old ones between the parking lot and my room. Hotel says they didn’t find it. So I put on one of my new ones. I had read the toe straps were uncomfortable but since my old pair felt fine I figure they would loosen up. I finally quit wearing them when both had left blisters between the big and second toe after 3 days. I am returning the unused fushia ones and will talk with someone about the yellow ones. The toe divider is plastic and is very uncomfortable.

Beautiful shoe, just could not adjust to the hard toe plastic piece.

I like the shoes but the smooth surface made my feet squeek as I walked. I don't need to sound like a duck when I walk. Otherwise, I loved them. Had to exchange for a different footbed.

Comfortable, true to size. I'm an 8 and have a wide flat foot, I like Birkenstock shoes (non narrow) they provide comfort and style. Love that the big buckle style has more options.

I own several Gizeh sandals but these big buckles takes the style up a notch! I got the black and will be ordering the brown too! I LOVE THIS STYLE!

As a longtime Gizeh-wearer, I was excited when I saw this updated style. They came today and did not disappoint! The footbed is super soft and the wide strap and buckle are super stylish and flattering. I’ll be wearing these forever.

I don’t like that the interior is leather instead of suede. I’m not sure if I’m going to keep these. I love the fit, love the new big buckle style. Why didn’t they leave the inside suede? Not sure how this will be in the summer heat.

I have problematic feet (arthritis in toes ,mortons neuroma planter fasciitis) etc. I have had several pairs of birkenstocks - the first pair I ever got ( almost 15 years ago) was a size 40 gizeh style ( 9) but it was always too long - I am a 9 in shoes and boots and a 91/2 in sneakers but in sandals I take an 81/2 or a 39. I wore Naot sandals for years and usually took a 39 only if it ran narrow did I take a 40 or a wide 39 .I ordered these in a 39 and its close but i am worried the 40 will have too much space in front and that can actually be a hazard.Birkenstocks take a while to break in but these were the same basic size as my Arizona birkenstock's - my only other observation is they are a little narrow so if you have very wide feet beware .Cute sandals looking forward to them- I got a tip from Birkenstock that if a strap is bothering you carefully use an emery board on the underside only- the keyword is careful -it didn't work on a high gloss leather pair but helped break in another sandal that was rubbing under the strap - in my experience they are never straight out of the box sandals but they can go on for several seasons once you break them in .

The shoe had bits of glue showing on the cork and leather. I returned it.

I love these shoes!!! They are stylish, comfortable and versatile!!! I’d own numerous pairs if I could afford to. They are well worth the money, don’t get me wrong, just wish that my bank account allowed me to splurge weekly on these shoes

This shoe is true to size and is extremely comfortable. I love the look of the large buckle.

These Gizeh sandals are stunning in the Cognac leather! The main strap is a little wider than it is on the regular buckle style, and with the larger gold-tone buckles and gold button on the toe post it really elevates the look to be dressy enough to wear beyond casual. Love the toned liner and - at least while I'm breaking in during the winter - it is every bit as comfortable as the suede and doesn't feel slippery. Sizing was a slight surprise: I wear a 41R in Mayari Birkflor and 42N in Arizona leather - I figured I'd be a 41 in these too, but turns out with the Gizeh in Leather I'd do best with a 41.5... which doesn't exist lol. The 41 felt really comfy in the footbed but my toe hit the front ridge so I'm keeping the 42s. Hoping break-in fixes the slight anomalies of the different size to usual Birk comfort, because these really are gorgeous!!!

the tip of the toe strap hits my toenail every time I take a step. Probably would ease off over time, but I didn't want to take the chance. Going to order a different style that doesn't touch the toe.

Loved the shoe but returned because they were too small. I would go up a half size.

I love the look of them but they are definitely not as comfortable as another similar style that I have. I'm considering returning after wearing once, very expensive for something that's not comfortable. Super bummed.

I didn't like the feeling of something between my toes. Other than that, the shoe fit like a glove. I am going to buy Birks again, without the thong style.

These are really cute and a nice soft color. The big gold buckle makes them especially stylish. Sadly, I had to send them back... the leather between the toe rubbed me in the wrong spot and they just were not going to work.

This was my second order of this shoe, after the first order came and there was only one shoe in the box, I had a replacement within a few days. I was glad and happy it was resolved by the excellent customer service I had received.

I love Birks. This was going to be my 6th pair. I love the style, the wide footbed, the color. Everything except the leather strap between the toes. I tried wearing them at home and in 10 minutes I had rubbed the skin almost raw. Sooo disappointed!

NIce sandals. A little wide for narrow feet.

Plastic piece between the toes is very uncomfortable. After reading that others had this same issue, I decided not to keep them. However, I loved the style and am disappointed that they did not work for me.

Love this style with a little more coverage and the big buckle. They are true to size (11M/42). The footbed is a smooth leather and felt comfortable from day one.

Only complaint is the black sole discolors the bottoms of my feet. Having the bottoms of my feet turn black makes them look terribly dirty and I don't like that.
