you definitely have to break them in, but they’re so comfortable! I’m only on day 3 or 4 and already the soles feel great (still getting use to the between the toe part) but it’ll get there. My first pair of Birkenstock so pretty happy and feel they live up to the hype. order down a size. I’m usually a 9-9.5 and I ordered the 8-8.5 and they’re perfect.

fits snugly, footbed is characteristically Birkenstock comfort. LOVE the large buckle, it really sets this sandal apart.

Love these Birkenstock’s. The white leather is pebbled and soft which makes it comfortable without the traditional break in period. very stylish with the big buckle.

These shoes changed my life - without exaggeration. I am an elementary teacher, and my feet have been destroyed by decades of standing on hard tile floors (wearing impractical shoes in my younger years.) Adding to the problem is an old ankle injury that just never completely went away. The result was that my feet hurt all the time - hurt to the point that I was hobbling by the end of the day and changing plans that would require much walking. And because my feet hurt, I adjusted my gait, and my ankles and knees hurt too. My mobility was being seriously affected by the pain, and that is quite a slippery slope - it hurts to move, so you don’t move, so you lose muscle and gain weight, which makes it harder to move, and on it goes. Enter these shoes. I bought my first pair and they were comfortable immediately. I could walk around at school all day and feel as good in the afternoon as I did in the morning. I wanted to wear them every day, so added a few more colors and now wear a pair daily. And here is the best part - after about 2 months of wearing these daily, my foot, ankle, and knee pain is largely gone. I am able to walk at full speed, up and down stairs, etc. pretty much pain free. I have changed nothing else - I’m not taking medication, and I’m still at school daily doing my thing. I have a pair of the regular Gizehs and they are good, but not as good as this. I don’t know if the footbed is different or if the wider straps hold the shoe more securely on my foot or what it is - but they are a little different and in my opinion more comfortable. I cannot recommend these shoes highly enough. I do think they are a little more narrow than most Birkenstocks. I wear an 8.5-9 and the 40 is just right in this shoe. They aren’t the cheapest shoes out there, but the difference they have made in my comfort and mobility is priceless to me. I have bought them in every color. Give them a try. I hope you like them as I much as I do!

I purchased the cognac colored Gizeh sandals earlier and decided I needed the black as well. I love the big buckle versions that have the leather bottoms. They look and wear just a little nicer. I didn’t love the Zappos presentation; they came in a generic box and haphazardly thrown in. Usually shoes come very quickly and perfectly packaged. The shoes did look like they’d been handled as the leather had marks (as opposed to the lighter pair I purchased from Birkenstock directly). They wear and feel just like gizehs, but imo take a little longer to break in. I wear a US 9 and buy sz 40. They’re a tiny bit big but I don’t like my toes to hit the front edge. Once they’re broken in they’re super comfy & cute!

Super cute and comfortable….love the Gizeh style and this is a nice update.

Bought these for my wife in a 39,and they seemed a 1/2 size off to me. She loved them, and didn’t want to risk not having them for the next few weeks. I contacted Zappos and the next day she had the 38. They fit her foot like a glove. She said they are the most comfortable Sandals ever...and she wears sandals year round. Now I think I’ll have to get a second pair in a different color.

I love these so much I have them in black, white and cognac. They are supremely comfortable and I feel that the leather footbed is easier to keep clean than the suede. They fit the same as the regular buckle Gizeh, which I also have in several colors.

I love these shoes. I would buy more if I could. I love the color I got, the buckle, the material and comfort. I need to get used to the sandal toe slot. I think after wearing for a bit, it conforms to your toes. They are still very comfortable and quite stylish.

Fit well and very comfortable!

I gave this as a gift to my daughter. Birkenstock seems to be her default footwear of which she has several. I gave her the "big buckle" edition in black of the Arizona which she loved last Christmas. This Gizeh is her second big buckle model which she loves.

AN incredible color. Takes about 7 days to mold to your foot. Worth it. I used to be a Birk hater. So arrogant of me. I have so many now. I met the owner a dozen years ago (a woman!) and she inspired me so much as Adair play business was woman. Your feet will thank you for these. Your color palette with be beautiful. Buy them!

Love the smooth leather insoles instead of the suede ones. My feet won't sweat in these, finally!!! The soles are very hard, though. I have them for in the house and in my back yard as slippers.

Just color and fit I wanted

Fit was great. I was initially going to return for a size 39 instead of the 40 as I felt they were a little too long but cinching the strap solved that problem.

The last time I bought Birkenstocks was about 25 years ago! I stopped buying them because the suede insoles would start to smell horrible. I'm thrilled that these come with smooth leather insoles! I'm hoping they make more styles with these insoles. After not wearing them for so long they do take some getting used to. They are hard, but support well. I bought them to wear in the house and for in my back yard, I live in Phoenix, and our summers are long and hot. Sandals are more comfy and practical than slippers in our summer months.

Prettiest Burk Ever. I love the pink. It is so fun and I get millions of compliments every day I wear them.
