Not like the other one I have had for several years. Needed to size up so I purchased new one. Large that Ijust purchased is same as the medium I already have. Fleece is much thinner too. Cant return because I already washed it.

LL Bean clothing isn't nearly as good as it used to be. This robe is just another example of less quality clothing. The material wasn't plush, but thin. I expected more from LL Bean. I nearly tripped going up the stairs as the material clung between my legs.

My LLB fleece bathrobe needed to be replaced due to wear and I order this year's fleece robe. I will be returning it. The fleece is not all like the fleece of my former bathrobe. This fleece feels cheap, thin and will not be as warm. Please bring back your old fleece robes. I usually wear a 12 and the medium did fit well.

Ugly and scratchy fleece robe. Nasty color. Don't waste your money.

the fleece is not the same fleece material of fleece robes that I've gotten from LL Bean in the past. The color is very dark and not bright as shown in the picture online, Plus, the robes looks as if it was returned and repackaged and resold,

I purchase this robe for my wife , I thought she would like it. The material was not very soft and after washing it had a lot of fuzz balls.

The material was scratchy and irritating. I will try to return it.

I am very disappointed. I usually trust Wirecutter's recommendations but lately, I've found them wanting. I ordered a medium and the top part of the robe fits fine and the material is soft and warm. However, the robe does not wrap around enough so that when I sit down the part from the waist down opens up and exposes the knees and calves to cold. My body bulk is not at issue (5'7" 138lb), flat tommy, regular size butt. The manufacturer was skimping on material.

The fleece is downright shoddy. I'll go on wearing my beloved old robes -- I have a couple, I've always loved this robe -- and be glad that I have them, though they are now too big for me.

Not nearly as soft and fuzzy as they used to be. I bought this for my wife and she was disappointed. We both agreed the fleece material was lacking in softness/fuzziness. I would compare it to fleece that has already been laundered many many times. Kinda miffed had to pay shipping to return an item that I was completely dissatisfied with. My wife and I will stick with our 10 year old LL Bean robes that are almost as soft as the new one that we returned.

I am incredibly disappointed by this robe. The color is nice but the fabric is absolutely horrible. Feels incredibly cheap (despite the steep price) and is not soft. As a lifelong LL Bean shopper, I am shocked by the dismal quality of this fabric. Unfortunately, it was a gift (for my kid) and I can't return it because she had to take it on a trip, there was no time. I also bought, for just a few bucks more, the rugby robe, which is fantastic. Should have gotten two of those, bummer.

I should have paid attention to the reviews...they were right on! Mauve Pink looks like dirty-faded...the fleece is cheap and unfluffy...I thought washing robe would fluff up the fleece - not one bit...Now that it's washed, I'll give it another shot before it might go back! The monogram is way too large and the fit is abysmal...I have a LLB fleece robe that is 20+ years and the fleece is better than this one...What has happened to your quality? - it's getting severely lacking more and more.

I have one of these robes I purchased years ago decided I wanted another one to wear while my old one is being washed I was so disappointed when I got the new one the fabric is so thin & cheap! Quality went way down but price stayed the same. I'll have to find another place to buy my robes from. Couldn't get to UPS fast enough today to return them.

I bought this robe in 2013 and LOVED it. I was hoping to have another one as the older one wore out. The new one is a little smaller everywhere but critically it is 3 inches SHORTER than the one from 5 years ago! When I contacted LLBean, they said it was "redesigned in 2015." Who wants less robe? The medium is only 3/4 of an inch longer so no hope there.

I should have paid attention to reviews criticizing the fleece on this robe. It feels like cardboard. I couldn't return it fast enough.
