I had an old American Poltec rob from the 1980's that was far super to the robe the material
they made it with is very strange. The robe is made for a tall thin person.

I will have to return. I purchased this robe in a petite for a 92 year-old friend. I'm 5'5" tall, not a petite. It is too long on me. My friend is about 5'2" and this robe would be a trip hazard for her. Review rating is due to length of the robe.

I bought this robe because of the great reviews online that said: "Made from thick, soft fleece, this robe is a toasty treat. Its generous length and wide shawl collar provide heavy-duty insulation, even on jaunts to the mailbox in the snow." The robe I received is fleecy indeed, but it's relatively light compared to the Ugg robes I have. I don't feel immediately warm when putting it on, but maybe I'll warm up after a while.
The other thing that's got me feeling a bit miffed is that the online price doesn't match the price tag attached to the robe. I thought I got a decent deal during Black Friday, but when I see the price tag on the robe, it appears that the online price just inflated the original price by the discount amount, meaning I basically purchased the robe at full/original price. I am not sure this is the way to win customer loyalty...

Lovely fabric and green color. Unfortunately, too long, I would be stepping on it. Too heavy, difficult to get on because of weight. The reason for three stars instead of four is the over-sized cuffs. Rolled down they come to my fingertips. Rolled up, they are bulky. I would not cook breakfast or put a log in the wood stove wearing this robe for fear of catching myself on fire.

I found the fleece to be a little thicker than I'd like and also less flexible or less pliable than I like. Too still and heavy for me so I returned it.

I purchased this robe to replace one that I purchased over 10 years ago and love. I thought this one would be the same robe only in a different color. The fabric, though is nothing like my other one. This one has a feel that is more like chenille than fleece and it feels less substantial and the quality seems cheaper. I would return it if it wasn't such a pain to mail it back. I would not recommend this robe.

This is a very comfortable and warm robe. I like the long length. I wish it was a little bit softer. It is 100% polyester and can get quite warm and needs frequent washing because polyester can be smelly very quickly.

The robe was the weight I wanted. However, just because I ordered a 3X to fit my torso, doesn't mean that I am 6 feet tall or that my arms scrape the ground when I walk. I had to spend money to have the robe hemmed by 3". And I will have to roll the sleeves up. I am 5'6" tall.

The robe is a lovely shade of blue and fits well. However, the fabric is extremely scratchy! Even with a nightgown underneath, it is quite irritating to the skin. I tried washing it several times in an attempt to soften the fabric, but without success.

Cut smaller from hip to floor than past robes I've purchased in same style. Also 2 inches shorter. Robe is very soft.

I bought this for my wife, she has been looking for a new robe for a very long time. This one almost fits the bill; however, she says the fabric does not breath and ends up making her very hot. The 53 inch length is perfect and the color works. The one she is trying to replace is a heavy velour "100 % cotton" terry cloth. The LL Bean terry cloth robe might work but it is only 48 inches long and that is not long enough. She also wants some form of green - she is not a blue or pink person.

I did like this and keep it but the fleece was not as thick as I expected for the high price. Really liked the color (plum?).

I was disappointed with the feel of the fleece used for this bathrobe. I expected it to be more plush & soft, like other fleece items I've ordered from LL Bean. I kept it as a backup but will be ordering a different robe from another online retailer.

This robe is cozy and thick and I loved the color but I returned this item. Even though I bought a petite size, the arm length was more than 6 inches too long and the fabric is too thick to fold over many times.

This Robert is the second one that I have purchased ( in 15 years). The first one is still useable too! You would regret this purchase.

This is big and bulky! I usually wear a medium, but sleeves are way too long on me and overall too big. The material is soft, but it's so bulky it is hard to wear!!

Fit fine, soft and cuddly, but I really loved my terry robe much better than this fleece. Will keep but surprised myself by really noticing the material difference.

Very lightweight. I was replacing a heavy fleece robe I purchased from LL Bean seven years ago. The difference in quality is striking.

The website said 100% cotton, and I ordered it because I was searching for a cotton bathrobe. I was really disappointed to try it on and immediately realize that it's 100% polyeste. While it is warm and cozy I would not have ordered it if I had known that's what I would get. It's good, but not great

I've been buying these robes for years and the quality seems to be declining as the price goes up. The length and style are still the same and I like that, but the fleece is not as heavy as it used to be and gets matted looking quickly. I will probably look elsewhere when I next need a new robe.

I have loved LLBean bathrobes. I have bought many over the years for myself as well as gifts for family members. This robe's fabric felt and looked different. The fleece was brushed like the kind you see on blankets in big box stores. It did not have the same coziness as the fleece fabric that is produced by so many well known sports labels. It did not seem to drape as well as in the past. I do not care for that type of fabric so I returned it. Hope the robe I have lasts a long time--or at least until the fabric changes.

This is the third fleece robe I've purchased from LL Bean over the years. The quality of this fleece is not what the others were. The fleece is very thin.

The fabric is thinner than it used to be, I'm unhappy about that, and the robe is a bit shorter than previous versions.
