I love this coat, the one problem I have with it is that I wish it had a little more room in the hip area for those of us who have a little more room in the hip area. If I buy a larger size to accommodate my hips it's too big in the chest and shoulders. But I will make it work cause I do love the coat.

I really wanted to like to this, but alas, ended up returning. Pros: quality, midweight material, and good construction. Longer length. Cons, for me: I never say this, but it was a smidge too long. (Petite would be too short in the arms). The zipper on the arm looked unattractive and out of place. I wish all the zippers blended in with the jacket color; the black stood out too much. And while pretty, I was hoping the Sailcloth Heather was going to be more of an ivory, but it was quite beige. Really bummed. I'm 5'6", 118 pounds, and got the XS.

Overall I really like this. Warm, functional, clean no frills design lacking in so many of the 'feminine' elements that bug me today. Only complaint is the main zipper. As some others have said it requires some fumbling to get it going and undone. Hoping I get more used to it and that it doesn't get worse with time.

Good quality and looks great. Will be good for those coolish days when a coat is too much. Definitely, though, size up if you plan to wear anything under it. Something I find a lot with LL Bean is the arms/arm pit area doesn’t leave much room for your clothes.

Looking for some new warm layers for the colder temps and this fits the bill. I love the longer length. It fits well, slightly tapered which I like, and you can easily add a light layer underneath.

This coat checks all the boxes for AZ fall/winter weather. As other reviews have stated, it is narrow in the hips so my girlfriend asked me to order 1 size larger for her. All the zippered pockets are great for storing essentials and it will work well as a layer under a warmer coat for winter travels.

Fits nicely but a little snug. I am usually a small with room to spare and this one is very slim cut and the arms are right to my wrist. It puckers a little in the front with the zipper. The material inside isn't quite as soft as I'd hoped, but it is warm. Keeping it because I wanted a cool red and this shade is beautiful. Needed it for an event so I went ahead and got it, but otherwise I would have waited till it went on sale.

I love the style of the jacket. I ordered the black and the only thing that would make it better is the color of the black. It is a light blacklike a black item you have washed a lot. So, I just wish it were darker.

I like the length and weight of this jacket/coat. The fit is very straight, and doesn't accommodate full hips. I typically wear a size small in a blouse, but I ordered a petite medium in this coat. The hip area was skin tight, yet the chest a bit loose. I have exchanged it for a petite large, and I know the chest/shoulders will be too big, but will accommodate layers. I have had other LLBean coats where a medium was fine around the hips.

Nice jacket but the sleeves could be just a little wider to better fit a long sleeve underneath.

The long length is very flattering. The fabric feels good. But the coat runs small. I ordered a small and extra small. The XS wouldn't zip it was so small. The Small fit with a light weight t-shirt but not with a warmer top underneath.

It was more fitted than expected not true to size.

Good looking longer sweater.I usually wear size 10,so I purchased the large to have enough room for a heavier sweater underneath.Sleeves were long enough,blue was lovely,length good for New England fall walks. Light weight.Two small issues..the hood is not roomy enough and the zipper had to be worked a little before it zipped.Regardless,I would buy again,it has a flattering shape to it.Im happy with the purchase.

I give this review a 4 because this sweater is less than a year old and the zipper has already come apart .. love everything else about this sweater..

I like the fit and design of this very well. I'm 5'5", 39", 32", 41" and the L is great. I LOVE jackets and vests that are longer like this. I would get them all the time, if I could. My only complaint is ... it gets stinky because it's plastic. I've only worn this for a total of a few hours, and just walking by it hanging on a hook I could smell it!! Granted, I wore it to and from the gym once - but the t shirts I work out in 2-3 times between washings don't stink. None of my other clothes stink. This definitely did! Maybe that's a me problem - but it only happens with certain synthetic/ plastic fabrics. I purchase natural fabrics whenever I can, but sometimes I'll skimp for budgetary reasons or because I really like a particular style that's only available in plastic, like this one. I'll just have to wash it a lot, I guess ....

Length and style was what I was looking for however I did think the material was thin.

Very comfortable. My only complaint is no inside pocket. Good weight and length. Recommend for a medium weight coat.

It's a great transitional garment to have when the weather is seasonally changing. It's long and hooded for those cool breezes. The cut is stylishly trim, not boxy. The neutral color choice is perfectly classic. Having purchased the similar LL Bean short jacket in color first, made this an easy choice. At 5'4" and 130 pounds I found a regular small perfect. While professionally retired, I'm active and choose clothing carefully and infrequentlygotta love it.

Great coat but for some reason the made the end of the sleeves with a band and it is uncomfortable to tight i constantly stretch it out and fold it backI was given a gift card to this store and really don't like these type of clothes luckily I was able to find this coatit's doable. Order a larger size then you wear though

I really like Bean's sweater fleece jackets and have two in different colors. This longer version is a little more fitted than I prefer.

I wouldn't call it a coat since it's not really thick. I do love the length. I would have given it 5 stars if they would have included an internal pocket. I mean the fabric from the side pockets are there. They just had to sew it to the body of the jacket and voila 2 internal pockets.

The fit is nice. I was looking for a longer light jacket. It is also warm. However, the blue of the zippers is a little too bright compared to the blue of the jacket, and I thought the color would be deeper blue.

This is my second one. It's lightweight but warm. I like the chin protection, hood and longer coverage for blustery days. Washes well. My first one is more than 5 years old. It eventually pilled on the sleeves and front but cleaned up nicely with a fabric shaver.

Runs Small. The overall fabric weight and hood are really nice. I usually wear a large in LL Bean clothes but I had to exchange for the XL size. The double toggle zip is nice but is difficult to seat properly. I'm hoping bees wax will help.

I had my eye on this fleece jacket for some time and finally ordered one when it was on sale and I had some Bean Bucks to use. After reading reviews I went up a size and ordered a PM. It fits perfectly, not too snug, sleeve length and length of jacket are perfect. I've only worn it once as it got very cold here, hoping for some warmer days. I don't think it would be good for anything below 40 degrees. I also can't comment on other reviews that said that it pilled as I have only worn it once. Love the blue color, too.
