I liked the look and feel, it I returned it for a size L.

While I like the shirt & it fit perfectly - pretty body hugging... but it was not what I expected for pima cotton. It had more of a slippery feel like silk might.. and when i wore it the material felt like it was cold or wet. I have pima cotton shirts from Bean from years ago and it is not at all the same super soft feel. I had no problems with shrinkage. If the neck seems tight you can stretch it a bit and it will return as before after washed. I kept one and returned one. I ordered the interlock knit turtleneck to replace it and was more satisfied with it. Same fit but a bit denser.

I love these turtlenecks, but as other reviewers noted, there is significant shrinkage, meaning I'll have to return/exchange them.

Love the pima cotton, have many long sleeve T's and turtlenecks. Biggest problem is colors. Would love an off-white or the return of the gray heather. Colors need a revamping.

I ordered 3 items. Two were perfect, but the sweater was too large. I returned it. I never got an email to acknowledge receipt. I called after some weeks and found that it had been received. I expected it within a reasonable time, but now, after calling again, find that it will arrive the first of December. I asked for a different size. It would have been better to have heard what was happening so I wouldn't have to worry about it.

I ordered a petite medium, but the neck is way too large. The rest of the fit is good. Now I do not know what to do with the three turtlenecks that I bought. i won't order clothes any more because to return I would have to pay $6.00

I have consistently bought L.L. Bean Pima, long sleeve turtlenecks over the years. What I have noticed over the past five years is that even though the length stays pretty consistent with washing, within a year of washing in cold water as directed, the sleeves creep up past my wrist bone. This is the only reason for the three star review. The colors are good, the fabric is good, and the fit is fine. I just wish I didn't have to replace a perfectly good turtleneck because of wrist creep!

I have purchased 4 LLBean turtlenecks this winter- 2 Pima cotton and 2 interlock. They were purchased due to their colors, complementing sweaters I already owned. They were purchased two interlocks are wonderful and have washed and dried well. The two Pima cottons both shrunk and I will be getting rid of them at the end of the season. They would have perhaps been fine if I hadn't put them in the dryer. Unfortunately the sweaters they went with will not have to be paired with something else. They are also thicker in weight than the interlock ones.

I bought this without trying on. The fabric is thick, polyester feel, loose fitting with a tight neck. I wear size S, bought a small.

I bought size large and the turtle neck was too tight. It was uncomfortable. The turtle neck was plenty big otherwise.

The fabric itself is great, but they did away with reinforced stitching at shoulder and arm seams. Also, sleeves are no longer cuffed, something I've appreciated in earlier versions of this turtleneck.

Shrinks when washed. Becomes almost cropped. This is a long-standing problem with all LL Bean cotton tees. The fabric is a good thickness - much better than any other company's tees, but they need to preshrink all fabric before constructing the shirts.

I like it but it's very light weight. Had hoped for a heavier.

Quality fabric, but too short! At 5'2 I needed a regular length . I always order XS petite . Fit through the body , but not long enough to wear. I returned it.

While the fabric is great, the cream color is more like yellow and looks "off" with any top I have. I was hoping for a very neutral off white.

Soft, but much thinner than I expected. Did not feel worth the price.

Very nice turtleneck. It would be perfect if it didn't shrink so badly in length.

I bought this to wear under wool sweaters. It's way too short and doesn't stay tucked into my slacks which is annoying but also does provide warmth. It's boxy in the body, and even the sleeves could be longer. Disappointed. I really needed a turtleneck that worked.

The fabric is nice, the color is a little intense for cream, but I tend to like muted colors so that's my bias. My main complaint is that the turtleneck is rather short. I layer with these, so I like to tuck them in, and this is a little shorter than I would prefer. I am 5'2" and I wear a high-cut pant, so I am surprised it is so short!

I just bought this turtleneck in a Petite Medium and it fits perfectly except that it is 2-3 inches too short length wise. It is that much shorter than all my other shirts but I guess I will keep it. I also thought that the sleeves had a wrist band but I guess I looked at the description wrong

Bought my usual size and it was too small. The color was nice, but do not like this thin fabric. I sent it back. Had to pay return fee.

The turtleneck fabrics is lovely but the sizing is off. The sleeves and body of the shirt is so short that I had to double check that I didn't order a petite! I did not. I would say the sleeves are 1"-2" shorter than the other llbean turtlenecks that I own. The large fit more like a medium (even allowing for the stated fit) I am keeping it, but it will be my turtleneck of 'last resort'.

Quality is definitely down. These turtle necks are so thin they are almost useless. I still have one I bought 30 years ago and it's better quality and is still in great shape. No more LLBean for me

Nice quality fabric, but the sleeves are short. Fits a little small overall even though it is a tall.

I bought a cotton turtleneck in xl, and it's a little tight, not to bad. Then I got a cotton/ cashmere polo in the same size, and it's huge on me. Everything too big. The collar and neck flap and fold untidily, and the waist and hips are big and stretchy. I need more consistency.
