I wear an 8.5 WW and this fits more like a 9WW. My feet slosh around just a bit, not a snug fit shoe. I really needed black flats so kept them anyway, but they aren't perfect and maybe I should have returned them for 8.5W instead. I really like the style. They are substantial and plain.

This casual shoe seemed wider than usual to me. I ordered my usual 8W and it was too long and too wide. I don't often say too wide, but it was. The sides were gapping terribly when I walked in them. They don't have a 8M in stock so I'll continue my search for a casual shoe that's comfortable for my fat feet . . .

These fit well in the smaller of the two sizes I usually wear (9.5 or 10W). They are more "skimmer-ish" than I thought, though, so they're going back. The rounded toe just doesn't look good on me.

After having to send back several other pairs of shoes, I think this is the pair I can walk all over Florence in. The nicely cushioned insole is kind to my plantar fasciitis. The toe box is wide enough for my wide stubby toes but at the same time the heel isn’t too wide for my somewhat narrower heel. The arch support is perfectly positioned for my left foot, a bit off for my slightly smaller right foot, but workable. I’m really hard to fit but I’m too old to put up with uncomfortable shoes. These did for me what Taos, Bjorn, and Wolkies didn’t — all fine shoes but they just didn’t fit me right. What a relief. And they’re simple and cute — no bows, straps, etc. — not little girl cutesy or old lady orthopedic but easy on-and-off in the airport. I think I’m set now. It has been a struggle!

I really liked this shoe but I had to return it because it slipped in the heel and there is a significant gap along the inner part of the shoe which was very noticeable in walking. I was disappointed that it didn't work for me, especially since it did not cause pain across my bunion.

I was looking for a simple black flat with more arch support, and this came pretty close. I liked the fit of it and the softness of the insole, and needed a wide width to accommodate a bunion on my left foot. It fit great width-wise, but was too long in my usual size 6. If it had come in a 5.5W, that may have worked out better. Historically I have never had much luck with the heel pads in too-long shoes so I'm going to return these, unfortunately.

a beautifully made shoe, soft leather and excellent insole support. I will be returning these shoes though because the toe box just does not feel right - disappointed in the fit - otherwise -- a quality shoe if it fits you!

I have VERY narrow feet so it's a treat to get shoes that are actually narrow enough (many brands' "narrow" fitting is still too wide for me). These are definitely narrow enough and have good support but they run short! I'm 8.5 and had to buy a 9. The 9 fits me perfectly.

I kept the 9.5 N so I would say it runs a 1/2 size smaller, as I almost always take a 9 N. Also, why are these shoes $20 more than they were a couple of months ago??!! When I ordered them earlier they were $79.95 and now when I ordered them in a different color they are $99.95 - I think you owe me a refund! Totally not fair!

Shoe footing was very comfortable except cut a little tight across the top.

Comfy for my bunion-y and post-surgery feet.

I have wide feet across the toe area but narrow heels. I ordered my usual size, 8W, and it felt like I would walk out of them (the heel would pop off my foot) while walking. Also, the toe box was roomy but the rounded shape still cramped my big toe. Hopefully softwalk will make flats that are more foot-shaped (more squared toe) and with narrower heals in wide sizes.

I kind of hate to give these less than 5 stars, since the problems that cause me to return these are about my feet, not about the shoe. I have very high arches, and the slope of my foot is such that the top edge of the toe portion cut into my feet in a painful way. Also, I have narrow heels, and my heel kept slipping out of the shoe. On the plus side, the shoes appear well made and look great. If you have normal heel width and somewhat flattish feet, I'm sure these would be great shoes for you.

I might able to wear flats again! This shoe had plenty of room for wide and tall toes but had a narrow enough heel to keep them on. I typically wear 7.5-8 in wide if available, and I think 8W is going to be the magic size for me although it’s a bit loose. I do wish softwalk would offer a premium version with real leather throughout because I can tell the synthetic footbed is going to cause sweating. I have to exchange the pair I got because the toe box is all dented in. All-in-all still so thrilled to find a flat that has support and accommodates wider toes (and bunions).

The size and the look of the shoes are good. The shoes feel slightly loose at the heels, so I'll add small inserts at the back of the heels for the best fit.

Although this was a great looking and a comfortable flat for my wide feet, unfortunately I'll be returning as they gap at the sides with each step I take. Would have kept otherwise.

Would have been my favorite but the toe box is too short. The inner sole shoe is wonderfully soft with good arch support.

I really wanted to be able to keep these shoes. I have very wide feet and a hammer toe on my right foot. These shoes were wide enough and very comfortable and would have been perfect except the heel seemed too "long." The arch fit where it was supposed to but I could not walk without my heel slipping out.

Basic, boring, black flat. But oh SO comfortable. I only need them for occasional use, but would be perfect for an office setting, dressy but like wearing sneakers.

I really wish I could keep these shoes. They are well-made, attractive, and would be comfortable with a good fit. But I tried the 10.5 WW and the 10 WW and could not get a decent fit. The 10.5 was too long by quite a bit and the 10 was too short by quite a bit.

These are so cute and I wish I could keep them, but the seem around the opening to slip my foot in is VERY tight and squeezes my big toe knuckle. I think these might better for a more narrow foot.

These shoes are well made with a removable padded insole. The look is pretty, looking great for comfort & walking. Sadly my left foot is one half inch longer than the right foot and the left shoe was too short. The right one fit perfectly. Even tried left one without the insole, didn’t work. Otherwise would have been great shoes.

Nice soft leather, comfy, and attractive, but runs big length-wise.

I was looking for a workhorse super cushioned basic black flat with a twist that also had great arch support. These boast an amazingly GREAT cushioned footbed and arch support (comparable to Earth or Dansko flats). However, they were just too basic for me. I'll keep them on a wish list in case I need a more basic option in the future though!

Felt okay out of the box, but need to try them again at home and see. I don't love the way the shoe looks, but it's very difficult to find cute shoes because my feet are so tricky to fit and find a shoe that doesn't hurt. In my opinion, these look too much like "old lady comfort shoes", at least on my feet. I'm wondering if I can find some kind of simple embellishment that's not a bow to make them classic and current. Zappos is absolutely amazing, I don't go anywhere else!! Thank you Zappos for the incredible service!
