I had to return my first order bcuz the size 12,was to loose and to big .. same with size 12

Purchased Chelsea boots for my wife and I for easy on-off waterproof shoes to wear around the campsite. The heel of these boots is HUGE. Kind of like wearing flip flops. Had to return.

My shoe size is 11 1/2. I bought 10 1/2 and they were huge. Reordered size 10 and toe area fit but heel was huge. And they seem very cheaply made. Very disappointing, especially since LL Bean products are usually well made.

These are our families favorite boots, the old pattern that were slip on and had the buckle. these fit extremely large and the top is so big even if the shoe fit they would slip off. LL Bean is one of my all time favorite brands! We have worn their clothing and boots for a very long time. PLEASE LL Bean return to the original duck boot that slips on has NO LINING, and has the buckle around the neck of the boot. They were classic and the perfect muck boot. The saying "If it isn't broken don't fix it" applies here . Please hear this request and go back to the beginning!!!!

These were such a disappointment. LL Bean is better than the craftsmanship of this boot. They should be ashamed of putting this product out. I was excited to finally see them make this only for it to be trash. I hope they will buckle down and redo it.

Purchased for Christmas. When received, the craftsmanship was excellent and the overall boot fit my foot well. However, the ankle opening must've been designed for an elephant as there is at the very least a 1/2" (inch) gap around my my ankle to the shoe and there is no support whatsoever. Not a good design. I wanted to look at its lace up counterpart but I have read some of the reviews of that shoe and it almost mirrors my observation(s) here.

I had read some poor reviews on this item, but decided to try it. I wanted an easy pull on Bean Boot. It arrived, I put it on one foot, stood up, and immediately decided to return it. The front was fine, but back half was wide and loose. The elastic sides were too loose. It is accurate that you need to order one size down from normal. Why Bean doesn't read the bad reviews on this particular boot and adjust the design, I don't know. I love me some LL Bean, but not this item. Come up with a better slip on 6" boot.

I wear a size 9 medium in men's shoes. I had to buy a size 7 in women's to get a length that worked. The heal fit is VERY loose, and the opening to insert your foot is VERY VERY loose. I bought these for easy on/off when going out in wet grass or light snow in the winter. Need to wear heavy socks to be able to walk in them. VERY poor design and quality of fit. These are nothing like my 15 year old 6 inch lace up boots.

Something is not quite right with the fit ,or production . I always wear a size 8 and the boot felt like a size 9/10 I felt like it was mis marked , so I ordered a 7.5 . The fit was still not correct and the right boot was definitely smaller than the left boot . I sent them back yesterday.

Horrible fit, opening is so large it's as though they designed it to fall off your foot. Go buy Sorels and save your time and shipping fees.

Does not stay on. The ankle area is too wide and made for an elephant. Dangerous. Can break your ankle.

Ankle is very loose, odd style and didn't feel like they would be secure on my feet

the lenght was good but the wideth was sloppy. The color and design was nice.

Fit was not good, very poor support around ankle. So sad, I loved this type of boot from llbean for years.

My wife bought these for me for Christmas and I was excited because I'd been wanting a pair of waterproof boots/shoes that I could slip on when I needed to go outside in wet or cold weather to take out the trash or check the mail. Unfortunately, the fit on these boots is so horrendous they're going back. She followed the sizing guidance and got a full size smaller, and the lower fits well enough, but the upper is so sloppy it's difficult to walk even a short distance in them. Would not recommend.

I'm usually an 11, so I ordered a size 10 for these at first, still too big so I ordered a 9. These boots fit terrible. Length is right but the fit on the heel and ankle doesn't exist. For my foot they are impossible to walk in, I don't understand why they make these.

My husband is usually a 12-13 shoe. I bought him the 13 Chelsea. He has a wide foot so I usually buy a 13 in boots. This was incredibly floppy around the top. The shape did not keep, it just looked awful. They had to go back.

On our 3rd return now. Sizing is way off! Terribly loose on the heel causing slippage. Would be a great boot but sizing is all wrong. Size down at least one size.

LL Bean should discontinue this slip-on boot because it is an ill-fitting design.

Ordered these for my husband and we know his LL Bean fit. These are so wide and absolutely goofy. Terrible fit! Bummer. Going back to the Original Bean Boots.

Still not correct size. Ordered these boots twice and still have not got the right size. One was shipped wrong boot size error, the other were fault of fitting guidelines. Have given up until I might get to a store.

Horrible fit. I purchased these to replace an older pair (8 years of wear) that were a bit higher and had the zipper on the side. So I ordered the same size in this model. The heel area is so oversize that it makes wearing these a joke. Their advice to wear thick socks doesn't work for me because the thicker, and I mean thicker, enough socks cramp my toes. And what appears to be the elastic side panels have zero elasticity.

I ordered this in a size 11, and it was too large. I returned it for an exchange to a size ten. This seem to be the correct size except the heel area was very very loose. I think there are something wrong with the way. These are sized as the heel is way too loose and I have to send these back.

Was way too loose. When I put this on and walked (with sox) it was falling off my foot. Bean boots are good, but get the laces dagnabbit!
