I've been wearing these boots every day for the past month. I did have to order them 2 sizes smaller than my usual shoe size and they remain loose in the heal and slightly tight in the toe box BUT the rubber hasn't cracked as other brands did and they're weather proof which was my top priority. They are warm enough but I sometimes curtail my walk with the dog b/c my feet are cold but never b/c my feet are wet! Also, these boots are easy to slip into and out of AND they're attractive. I would buy another pair if I ever need to.

Really happy to have found these made in America boots. I am a reliable size 7, and sized down to a 6 and still found them to be a little large in the heel. Am experimenting with a cork insole to see if I can get a better fit but overall they are well made and comfortable and I would buy again.

The boot runs a little large but isn't offered in half sizes so I kept themI'll just wear heavy socks. I don't think I could walk a long distance in them because there isn't much support on the bottom of my foot.

I normally wear an 11 and got these in a 10 - the length was fine but the boots were narrow, toe box rubbed against my pinkie toes, even with a thin sock. Sorry to return.

I felt these ran large and the high hit my lower shins and they became painful to wear if I was doing minor walking. Construction of boot was top notch

I am a size 8.5, ordered an 8 and they were too big. Returned them for a 7 and they fit perfect.

I'm sure it's a great pair of boots, but I didn't read the reviews Therefore they are one size too big and this color is out of production. Disappointed. Maybe I'll try again someday But in the meantime, I will get back to the mall of America to return! Yikes. Haven't been to that place in years :-) I still love LL Bean, but I wish I had known.

Love these, looked online for 2 years and finally ordered them. Unfortunately, after 3 tries, could not get them to fit. Last try was a 6 1/2, I normally wear 8 1/2 -9 Disappointed but I don't have a store to try them on.

Since the ankle portion of these boots is very loose, your heel comes off the bottom of the shoe with each step. (Wearing them, I felt like a kid walking around in my parents' shoes). At first, I thought sizing might be the issue so I exchanged them for a smaller size... but I had the exact same smaller with the smaller size. The materials and construction seem good so if you loves flip flops and mules, this boot may be right up your alley. I thought they would be hazardous in wet weather and gardening - where I want good footing - so these got returned.

I ordered the Chelsea Women's boot following the size guidelines of ordering a size down since they ran large. I wear a size 9 so I ordered the size 8. The day they arrived I was so excited. They were a size 8 but they were large on me. Did not wear the boots since they were too large , only tried them on. The boot is wonderfully made, no problems there. Arrived promptly after ordering , no problems there. I returned the boots the day after I received per RETURN POLICY only to find out I have been issued an LL Bean merchandise gift card instead of getting credit back to the LL Bean credit card. Not going to order boots again since unsure of the sizing. Sad I don't get a credit back on purchase but a gift card to hold on to until another purchase.

Everything that showed up is great. We are still waiting on an order? With no update

I tried these boots on at the retail store and purchased a 7 and a half. I normally wear an 8 wide width but these don't, unfortunately, come in wide width. The 7 and a half gives me a little more width in the toe area but the length is a little too long. I will try an insert to correct the length issue. The main reason I bought the boot anyway is because it is a pull on and they make life a lot easier as I am getting older. If the insert doesn't work, I will need to return the boots and order the wide width lace ups. So disappointing! Please seriously consider making the women's Chelsea boots in a wide width. Just like your original LL Bean boot that you now make in a wide width (which I purchased recently), the Chelsea boots are just as popular. I have been a customer for years but just wish more of your women's boots came in a wide width.

As both an avid Chelsea boot wearer and a Bean Boot wearer, I was so excited to try these out. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but the pair I received were both WAY too small across the ball of the foot and WAY too wide in the heel. A bigger size would not have been the solution in this case. I felt like I was going to trip and fall out of them. Total bummer. Sent back. :(

Too big. I usually wear a 7 or 7 1/2 so I ordered a 6 1/2. My foot was swimming. Had to return

I'm generally a size 8.5, ordered these in an 8 and the length is perfect but the heel and ankle are so wide it feels like wearing clown shoes, my heel slips almost completely out. I think if I sized down the length would be too short. They're exactly what I was looking for in terms of color and style, the opening is just too large for them to function as anything other than a slipper for me. They're so easy on/off that they won't hardly stay on while walking.

I really wanted these to be my go-to, but I'm not sure if they'll do it. They're loose in the ankle and I have almost rolled my ankle several times walking on uneven surfaces. They also aren't super comfortable and rub my foot weird. They are cute though!

Having lusted after the gorgeous, creamy coconut color for over 6 months, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the recommended whole size down (I'm a 8.5 and ordered the 7.5). Unfortunately, they don't fit my sightly wide forefoot (ball of foot) and narrow heel. I'd order the next size up to accommodate the forefoot, but my heel was already beginning to lift in the 7.5. I'm sad. The search for the great Alaskan Summer Cruise Shoe continues...

It's frustrating that most of the footwear is not available in Women's size 5. Children's shoes are not constructed as adults and it's disheartening that llbean who works so publicly to be inclusive can't carry the full size range of a woman's shoe! We loved llbean for years and we still do but. This is frustrating!

The Chelsea is a great boot, the materials and craftsmanship is the best. The fit is a slightly different issue. The opening of the boot is too wide around the ankle making for a loose fit allowing the foot to piston (slide up and down) within the boot. I called to see if there was a way to order the boot with a smaller circumstance around the ankle.

The boots were a medium width however they swallowed my feet. I returned them with no issues.

Love the boot, the style, the color and craftmen ship of the boot is really nice. I tried 2 different sizes and they were both too big. I usually wear a size 8 and I tried 8 and 71/2 and it didn't work for me. The fit is the only reason I rated it 3 stars.

A couple of years ago I ordered a size 7 and it was a little too tight. This year I ordered a size 8 and it's to big. They flip on my feet. I was going to return them but I needed them more. I wish you had half size!

I am sure these will work for many people but they do work with my orthotics. I had to return them.
