I'm an older RN and do a lot of walking and these max cushion sneakers are perfect. The toe box is nice and adds to the comfort of the shoe.

I love the shoe, however, after a few runs my big toe has torn through the top of the shoe. Very flimsy and thin material.

I just finish a pair of their olympis's and loved them! Wanted to try these out. I got them in the same size but these feel a bit smaller. I also don't like how high the back rise, they kind of rub on the back of my ankle.

Thanks for offering a wide width in the Paradigm and Torin. Both feel great - love that they're zero drop, not too stacked and have lots of room for my toes. Can you please offer a wide option in white please? Us wide-footed girlies want cute white sneakers too.

I really like this shoe. It has a great amount of space and great for stability as I pronate. The only reason i took off a star is because the back goes up too far on the ankle and I had to break them in before I could wear them all day, other than that, they are seriously comfortable and spacious. They are wider than the Torin 7, at least in my experience with the Torin 7.

I'm a cross country/long distance runner and these shoes are so comfortable regardless of the intensity or terrain of my runs. The only thing I have had an issue with is blisters after a rainy run, however, wearing thick socks easily solved that issue.

I appreciated the wide toe box and came close to keeping these. However, I didn't because according to the podiatrist I have falling arches and an issue with the muscle extensor hallucis longus which seems to keep my big toe pointing upward instead of staying more flat. My understanding is that with the falling arches, I probably do not want a zero drop shoe. And with the extensor issue, for now at least, I may need a deeper (height) toe box. On my Brooks Glycerin, my toe has poked a hole in the top of the shoe. On the Altra Paradigm, I feel an uncomfortable amount of pressure from the top of the shoe on my big toes. If you have similarly whacky feet then this shoe may not be a match. But it looks nice, is generally comfortable otherwise, and has a wide toe box that is nice (though I wish it were even wider, honestly)!

I have been wearing the Altra Torin Luxe for the last 1.5 years. When I put on the paradigm all the fidgeting and instability stops. It is a STABLE shoe. Unfortunately, the arch support isn't quite high enough for a high arch and I can't fit my orthotics and my foot in the shoe without my instep rubbing uncomfortably on the top of th shoe. I wish the top of the altra torin luxe was on the paradigm base. Even without the orthotic, my instep rubs the top of the shoe. I think there's just not enough internal depth. Maybe 1-1.5 cm more internal depth would be perfect? It's strange to make a stability shoe without the internal depth for orthotics. Maybe the men's edition has more internal depth? The toe box was awesome. Though the knit upper is a bit hard around the toes as it's reinforced by some sort of coating.

I bought my first pair and was hesitant, but they were perfect for my wide feet. I agree with one review that they could use more cushion. I added some insoles and moved along. I bought my second pair after two days of wearing the first pair. I may have found my new fave running and walking shoes.

This is my first pair of Altra shoes. I needed more room in the toe box which these offer but wish they had a bit more overall cushion. Satisfied with my purchase.

The Paradigm 7 is true to size and width. It has good stability features and arch support. Unfortunately, for me, the arch support hit my foot in a bad spot, causing discomfort. I am returning the sneaker because of my difficult foot and difficulty in finding the right fit.

I would still recommend Altra or New Balance

I tried the Paradigm because of foot surgery. I've always needed a shoe with added support. After surgery needed more room in the toe box and an orthotic. The Paradigm is a more supportive shoe, and because of this, when I added my orthotic, it forced the ball of my foot laterally. The big toe had even more room and the little toes had no room at all. I did try them without the orthopedic, and they fit great. I sent the Paradigm back anyway, but have since gotten a different style that is Original fit (Paradigm was Standard fit). I love them.

Positives: Very comfortable to run/walk in straight out of the box. Wide toe box, which I have issues finding. Looks good on; great color scheme.
Negatives: Caused blisters on the back of my heels the first few times I wore them. I have this issue with a lot of running shoes so I know it is more my foot than the shoe but still a word of caution.
Sizing: I wear a 9 and find I need a 9.5 in sneakers. 9.5 in these fit perfect so I would say they are true to your normal running shoe size.
Overall, I am really pleased with these shoes and can see them lasting me a long time.

Upon first putting these shoes on, they felt so lightweight and comfortable. I first wore them for weightlifting, and they worked well for that. Unfortunately, when I tried them for running, they just didn't work out for my flat feet and pronation. For someone with a better arch, I feel these could be perfect for someone with more of an arch than I have.

I'm a Hoka One One girl so I wanted to see what the hype was about over Altras. I did receive my Paradigm 7 for free through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. Right out of the box, they are extremely comfortable where as my Hokas took a moment to be broken in. Cushion wise paradigm 7 are comparable to Hoka Clifton 7 but the Paradigm 7 are even cushioned throughout the sneaker. At first I wasn't sure if I would like them, they felt much different. But after a few days and a test on the treadmill there was a noticeable difference. In the Paradigm 7 I was able to continue my workout further than if I was wearing my Clifton 7.The wider toe box in the Paradigm 7 is an added plus and I think contributes to being able to run for a longer period of time.
Outside of working out, wearing the them for an 8 hour shift of work (standing and moving frequently throughout the building), my back did not hurt at the end of the day. That's a huge plus! Final thoughts: If you are a Hoka One One fan like myself, you will enjoy Paradigm 7. The wider toe box is a dream, to the point when I alternate sneakers and go back to my Clifton 7, my toes feel smooshed together. Paradigm 7 are a worthy opponent to Hoka One One.

It may be my feet but they feel different. Arch feels higher in right shoe which is bothersome after several hours in them. Otherwise comfortable. They squeak horribly though and I wear them for work, wish they didn't.

Unfortunately the Paradigm 7 did not live up to expectations. These are so much less cushioned and are even a little hard and also more narrow. I choose Altras in the beginning when I went to the store and tried a Hoka on one foot and a Paradigm 6 on the other and I immediately noticed how much more cushioned the Altra were and so it began. My love for Altra and my hate for Hokas BUT once they changed the design to Paradigm 7 I immediately noticed the cushioning did not live up to the Paradigm 6. I'm holding on to my old Paradigm 6 for dear life because I know I won't get another pair like that. BRING BACK THE SAME DESIGN AS THE PARADIGM 6!!! I want the cushioning back and the the original toe width

I was a huge fan of the Paradigm 6, which were nicely supportive and well-cushioned. It always felt so good to slip my feet into the Paradigm 6, and I owned 3 pairs. Paradigm 7s are disappointing by comparison. Nowhere near as good of a shoe as the Paradigm 6 (well, they may be a little prettier, but not at all as functional, in my opinion.) Volume in toe box is less, cushion seems much less substantial, nothing at all like the Paradigm 6 which really won me over on Altras. Had a similar experience with the Provision 8 as compared to the Provision 7. Why must you so dramatically change a good thing?

The change in the eyelet makes it harder to lace. Was going to buy 5 pair as I previously bought but the loop design is hard to lace. I know it is only one but it is located at the top of my high arch and does not stay tight. Wished you would have left the shoe alone. Less padding as well.
