I've had this jacket for 4 years in the mustard yellow and cannot fault it. It literally goes everywhere with me travelling all over the world. Even when it got grubby over the years, I washed the jacket as it says and looks like brand new. Still not had any issues with the material wearing thin, or zips breaking etc. There's a reason this kit is expensive because you won't need to buy from them for years because the kit is so good and lasts forever haha. Highly recommended.

I bought my Atom to walk the West Highland Way, Scotland in October. Great by itself in fall weather, use it as a mid under a hard shell when cold hits. Breaths well due to the side panels. Synthetic insulation wins out over down in wet / sweat conditions I faced with 7 days of hiking.

I own 2 Atom LT:s. Actually bought a second one after falling love with the first. It feels like a piece of heaven on you. Light, soft, fluffy and so comfortable in a vast range of temperatures. Also, having a bit of a gut, thanks to the flexible side panels it still feels perfect and not constrictive. So for you bigger lads, this is the one for you,

Love this jacket. Mid layer ice climbing in Norway, resort jkt snowboarding in the Alps, urban jkt for london in the Autumn. Under my shell in rainy Wales. The only time i done wear this is when i take a bath!
Perfect combo of warmth and breathability. Cuffs are a thing of beauty and the water repellency is one of the best for a insulation piece. I have 3 for a reason! Love it.

This is an all around, best daily use jacket. Great for wearing into work, or going out on the trails. Doesn't hurt your face, but provides enough coverage so that you don't get burned from the wind. Hands down, best jacket I have ever owned. 10/10 would recommend

Perfect all rounder. My most versatile and capable layer. I'm constantly getting caught out in rain and wind and it's never phased. I love the synthetic insulation, weight and feel. Plus the finishing fabric is solid. It's cosy, warm and comfortable. I use it across all season and activities. Perfect to throw on in the morning, no matter what the day throws at you. I'll wear it on a cold run, under my ski shell, and also to dinner. The fit and breathability are perfect. I love being able to wear it for medium output, starting cold, and not overheat. It's predictable and consistent.

This is my third Atom. I am obviously a fan. Its a true multi tool. It is perfect as a stand alone jacket or as an insulating layer underneath my shell. The colors of my 10 year old Atom are as vibrant as my new model. Grab one. You wont be disappointed.

This is my third Atom Hoodie. I bought a size L, one size larger than usual, and wear it as an outer layer. Depending on the inner layer, you can wear just this jacket in the winter. It's warm, light, and feels great against the skin. It protects you from light rain, but if it's pouring, water will seep in from the armpits.

Couldn't believe the hype until it got a bit colder in the Northeast part of the country. This hoody absolutely impressed me. Light, layerable (if that's a word.. Lol)and warm. Definitely buying in other colors and makes me skeptical about trying the new hoody. If it's not broke don't fix it. And this is perfect!

Always at the top of my list as a diverse layering option. Its the one I reach for the most whether its heading out for a quick hike or always in the bag or on when doing the longer trips.

Its truly all about the layers, that said, the atom hoody is an excellent light jacket, however I find the Atom heavyweight hoody to be perhaps the best overall jacket I have ever owned and thats saying a lot, Im surprised its currently missing from the lineup. Im 63 years old, and jackets for me are like purses to my wife, we have both had too many to count. From 39 degrees Fahrenheit, to about 15 degrees the atom heavyweight is perfect. It can be too warm at 40 or above, and around 15 degrees I use my parka and put the heavyweight under that at about 10 degrees. In Anchorage, Alaska the Atom heavyweight hoodie is my daily wear for walking the dog and hiking, or just running errands 80% of the winter. I recently purchased my atom heavyweight hoody and I also have a regular atom, so I hope to be set for several years, however, I sure hope the atom heavyweight hoody returns to the Arcteryx lineup otherwise some of you are truly missing out.

You guys have revised me out of anything that fits! Your mediums used to fit me great. Now everything M revised is too loose and baggy and long. And your Smalls are too small. Too bad, youll be losing a long time Alaskan Arcteryx customer. You seem to make mediums based on a 6 plus foot model? Youve abandoned the 58 slender male. 58 is actually considered a medium size male, so not sure what youre thinking here.

I've now got two of these, because they are truly the most versatile jacket for the widest range of conditions and missions. I've summited Mont Blanc, skied the backcountry of Idaho, climbed the cliffs of the mountain west, walked the dogs, gone to dinners and traveled the world. All with this jacket and it has performed well in every one. It regulates my body temperature in such a wide range of activity and conditions. It's my go to layer for it all. Only reason I gave a 4 star warmth, is because if you're sitting still in very cold temperatures for too long, you will need an additional layer like a true puffer to keep you warm. That kind of goes without saying though!

I'm using this as an insulating layer under the Alpha shell as well as just a normal layer around town on moderate days. I am 5'9" 175lbs and went with the large as this is the "fitted" cut.
The large fits fine but I could probably go with the medium for a tighter fit.
Very warm but also lightweight and soft.
If I were just looking to use this as an insulating layer, the medium might be a better option.
I love the jacket, I find it being my go-to when I run to the store.
It will get more reps as the insulating layer as ski season ramps up.

I'm a huge fan of the Atom Hoody, especially for those days which are especially frigid. This is my go-to jacket whenever the temperature drops below ~50 degrees, since it's lightweight while providing plenty of warmth and protection from the wind. The fit and feel are great - it's snug enough to keep me warm but not so tight that I'm uncomfortable. My only (minor) critique is that the sleeves are a bit long for me. Excited to bring this on my next camping/backpacking trip in the fall/winter months, since I know it'll hold up and keep me comfortable.
