This jacket is everything as great as everyone says it is. Outer is malleable yet durable, worn this jacket primarily for the last year and there are no signs of wear and tear. Surprising temperature range, worn comfortably standing around in a t-shirt in 32F weather with relatively high humidity. Overall design is fantastic, zipper is easy to actuate, fleece lined pockets add a little more comfort and warmth, hood has good coverage. Fit is fantastic, Im 63 and 155lbs and bought a size large. I have a little room to mess with layers. Great from both a casual and technical standpoint. I use it for everything, general use, skiing, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, and others I cant think of. Its my favorite jacket bar none.

This is my third Atom hoody(atom Lt) since 2018. I use it as an insulation layer and top jacket during different activities or just as a daily jacket. Love them

Ive tried many brands version of this jacket and the Atom by far has the nicest quality and features. My only complaint is that it is still too long in the smaller sizes. In 2020 it was practically at short peoples knees, and while the 2023 is way better, it could still stand to be an inch or two shorter. They need to r&d with some smaller models!

This jacket is a true Swiss Army knife that is applied with precision and performance nearly 365 days a year. For the weight, warmth, style and ability to tackle so many different environments its my daily and was my first entry into this incredible brand. Bravo. I wish I could meet the team who came up with this piece. Brilliant result.

Only gripe is also a benefit. The hybrid material under the arms is very thin, so if I'm not exercising, I'll get chilled, especially when it's for casual/urban use. I wish it were a wee more wind resistant under the pits, but still provided the thermal management.

Been having an Atom hoody for over 5 years. Still loving it. The quality of the hoody is very good and it is quite comfortable to wear along and being a mid layer. Very smooth to touch inside out. It could keep warm along around 70'F as jacket along. Quite breathable under hard shell. However, I found out the exterior is not so much of scratch resistance one day backpacking while wearing it as an out jacket. Therefore, I would suggest it to wear it as out jacket on a casual day or put it under a hard shell. Sum up, it is a very good hoody for what it is designed for, and it can last for a very long time if you don't over stretch it.

I bought the Atom LT (predecessor of the atom hoody) about 6 months ago. I must say that it has been a blast so far woth this jacket. Usually it is even too warm wearing this jacket. Considering it is so small to pack, I take it on all my hikes. The only tip I would gove is to wear long shorts underneith the jacket, because the material of the atom hoody can get that sticky feeling when touching the bare sweaty skin. With a baselayer that has long sleeves you will eliminate that experience during intense workouts. Overall just a great jacket that replaces a lot of my midlayers I have had so far.

Ive had it 3 years and use for most of my warmth need in the late fall, early spring and winter. It has never let me down and if I combine it with my arcteryx Gortex shell then Im never ever cold.

I bought this mid layer just in time for fall and winter on the east coast. Love the look and style of it, and its very functional. Keeps me warm in 45F+.

I highly recommend this jacket. It's a touch fancier (?) than the previous similar lightweight Arc'teryx hoodie I had that is no longer made but it's nice that it can be dressed up or down if you are coming off a mountain. I often jam it into a backpack or bag and shake it out a few times and the wrinkles release almost instantly for a great, warm look.

So I have 2 of these in different colors and love them. Plan on ordering some new ones this year. Very breathable, keeps you warm in cold weather but regulates your temp in warmer weather so you dont sweat as much. Just a light jacket that packs away beautifully. I highly recommend especially for everyday l, run your errands type jacket, this is it! Make sure you order extra, my wife loves to wear mine!

The Atom Hoody and Atom Light Hoody are the must have go to pieces for all season. Well worth the weight for a back up insulation or stand alone warmth in town or out into the woods! Pair with a Beta Light shell and your ready for more extreme weather.

I bought this and the Proton version. I like the extra insulation of the Proton and the exterior material and the fit other than the front which sits a bit higher than the Atom. I also find the hood of the Atom is much larger than the Proton. More than is needed for a helmet. The Atom is a bit looser at the waist hem and sleeves seem a bit baggy to me. Definitely more a casual fit. It has a bit of noisier Denier material too. I'm quite torn between the two only because I have a black Atom and a Bordeaux color Proton. If it was black I'd go Proton. Just seems like a better fitting robust jacket but Atoms good too for the casual wear. Both are great for shoulder season weather and are comfortable to wear. Longevity seems at risk too with the material and the fleece panels compared to Proton. First world problems.

I was buying my 2nd Atom LT (now just the Atom Hoody) and ordered the "revised" version in the Pytheas color. I had to return the Pytheas - the brightly colored logo on the left front chest is much brighter (obnoxiously so) than what is represented via the on-line photo. I will be reordering in the Smoke bluff (modest logo on the chest). This is a very versatile lite out layer and a good mid layer. Breaths well as it is designed. Not built for high winds so don't expect that one. I like most of the revisions contained in this 2023 version from my 2019 version. Of course I don't like the higher price and getting close to my price tolerance level. The pulls on the hem are improved and less bulky. The added space in the torso (slight) allows for a layer without feeling bloated. I'm still unsure about the added visor to the hood......that pokes the back of my head when the top is down. Not sure what you did but a good adjustment to new cuffs....easier access to my watch. The outer fabric (while branded as the same) seems a little more durable. Finally, the zipper (different pulls) is improved and stays in place. The Atom hoody (LT) has been excellent and IMHO has been improved. 5+ stars. If we could add one thing: could use an exterior chest pocket for a cell phone but this is a minor issue.

I wear this exclusively as a mid-layer for skiing in cold New England conditions. It breathes very well. Combined with a light baselayer and a Rush shell, I find it provides just the right warmth and is not bulky-feeling

The jacket was great a few years ago... After having my jacket stolen, I immediately bought a new one as it was my number one every day jacket. Today, the quality is extremely disappointing. The fabric is less soft, the insulation feels empty. The side of the jacket used to be solid fleece, now it's this stretchy cheap material that you can see through. It's now a terrible jacket to wear alone and must be coupled with a shell otherwise its like wearing a long sleeve shirt.

I have an Atom Hoody (XL) from 2018 that is still my favorite jacket of all time, and I wear it constantly during the colder months. It fits me perfectly with a t-shirt or a sweatshirt underneath. I wanted to get a second Atom Hoody in Vitality Blue, but unfortunately the new sizing does not work for me: The Large is too tight around the middle and the XL is too roomy with arms too long. Very disappointing!

How come the size small of the black version of atom sl from neck to bottom is 27 inch, the black version of this is only 26 inch. Arm pit is too tight.
