i've worn the brooks ariel since 2016 and they provide great support for my plantar fasciitis and fallen arches. unfortunately, the ariel gts 23 caused me a lot of pain in my legs, knees and back. the ariel gts 23 feels a lot "squishier" and not nearly as stable as the prior ariels i've worn. i had to return these because of the pain i experienced from walking around in these. apparently, i need a more stable shoe, and possibly more motion control than this ariel gts 23 provides.

I wanted to love these, I really did. I have plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis - these shoes made it way worse. By the second day of wearing these during my 10hr shift, I literally was in tears. It's never been this bad!!! Also, these shoes hurt my arch so badly. If you're worried about them hurting your arch or flaring up your plantar fasciitis, don't get!!
Hopey,

Nice looking shoes but terribly hard on my knees. I've never had shoes hurt my knees like this before. I wore these for an 8 hour shift in which I was on my feet the whole time and I was almost in tears by the end of it. I went back to my old Brooks shoes the next day and my knees were completely fine. I won't be able to wear these for any extended length of time. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed.

Unfortunately after 1 week of wearing these shoes (walking, standing at work) I got peroneal tendonitis and had severe ankle pain.

Poor SupportGreat Support
I have worn Ariel's for a long time. Unfortunately, I have tried these, and every time wear them my toes are scrunched. They feel like a 1/2 size smaller. Very disappointed especially for the price.

Poor SupportGreat Support
The fit was true to size & not my first ariel; however, the support was like a rigid ring around the shoe without the midline comfort or support. Could not be improved with custom arch supports. Disappointing.
