These shoes are not as comfortable as the last ariels, feels like they have less cushion.

Im a female walker who needs to wear supportive shoes with custom orthotics in a 2E width.
While I can find 2Es, Im often left settling for black, white and grey.
Imagine my delight - finding these Brooks Ariel GTS 23s in a 9 2E in a beautiful AQUA color.
Even though my podiatrist likes another brand, I am team Brooks all the way nowthank you for FUN COLOR in 2E width!
(Pssst - I buy 2 pair a year - consider Red, orange, lime, etc.)

I'm susceptible to plantar fasciitis and overpronate. These have been amazing! They were comfortable right out of the box and I don't even need to insert my Superfeet orthotics. With other brands I wear an 8 W or 8.5 standard - I went with an 8.5 W for these and the fit was perfect. They don't have a "squishy" feel like HOKA Bondi shoes, but they have excellent shock absorption and the extra stability distributes the impact so my heels and arches don't strain under impact.

I've been wearing Ariel runners for years as they are one of the few shoes that I can wear comfortably with an arthritic foot that suffers from a previous injury and flat feet in general. I like the firm support and cushion comfort of the Ariel GTS 23. However, I purchased both the Wide and Extra Wide and had a lot of trouble deciding between the two as the Wide is a bit narrow and the Extra Wide is too wide and offers less support as a result (they seem wider than previous Ariel models). Neither fits perfectly, but I chose the Wide in the end and returned the Extra Wide. It would be helpful if you offered width sizing guidelines with measurements.

I chose these to replace my Adrenaline 22, its a eel made shoe, nice soft cushioning , however with the rounded toe box, they fit too short for my right (longer) foot.
The Adrenalines tie shape is more traditional-pouted giving my feet more room. If it werent for this design I would have kept the Ariel GTS 23

I am not a runner. I have a stress fracture in my left foot and one developing in my right foot. My podiatrist wrote down 5 shoes that he said would stabilize my foot to help prevent further damage. While I am told to stay off my feet, lets face it , that is impossible. These shoes were and are amazing from the moment I tried them on. And I tried on every shoe on the list. I also have been wearing New Balance 990s for the past 3 years. This shoe is amazing for me!

I don't run. Sometimes I can barely walk. However, my Podiatrist recommended this shoe for its secure support for someone like me.
I like the shoe and find it to be comfortable. I appreciate its support.

I have been wearing Ariels every day for 10 years. They had been the only shoe for me with a high toe box and wide enough for bunions. I have had to return the 2020 and 2023 models. The long-awaited, new 2023, is such a disappointment. It doesn't have the strong support anymore on both sides of the shoe, just a soft rubber logo which gets bigger every year. Please, Brooks, don't be so cheap and give us back the support we need. My 2018s are on their last leg. Why do you need to change the design every two years. We buy the design that works for us and then you change it!!! Also think about all the seniors who wear your shoes when choosing the colors.

I like my Ariel GTS 23 shoes. They're very comfortable with lots of heel support, not to mention they're a good looking shoe! I tried these thinking they might be a good replacement shoe for my casual, 3 times a week run. For me in particular, they are better suited for indoor workouts and outdoor walks. As a toe striker when I run, the cushiony heel support is unnecessary for me and my unique gait. They work great as my indoor HIIT shoe and they're my new walking shoe. They do have spacious toe box which I don't find too often as a runner a big plus! I think these would be perfect if I were a heel striker, which most people are but for my needs they'll continue to be my walking shoe.

As a runner who overpronates and has slightly flat feet, I need a very structured or stiff shoe to give me the support I need to avoid aches and pains. There are definitely challenges in that when it comes to cushion and flex though. This shoe overcomes the challenges. The gel creates a very comfortable cushion, the toe bed is nice and roomy, and I did not get any rubs on my heel (all frequent concerns for me). I am a true 8.5 and I would say these run a teeny tiny bit small, but not enough that I personally would need to size up.
I did not initially love the look of these shoes but they grew on me. Anyone who needs a cushioned, structured shoe knows they can look quite clunky, but this one is okay!
I would recommend this shoe to any runner who overpronates, has flat feet, or just needs extra cushion.

This was my personal first experience with Brooks sneakers for women. I am super glad to have them. These running sneakers quickly have moved to my daily go to for running, yoga, and cross training. Basically anything because they are so comfortable. The cushioning is superb quality and from the minute I put them on, I literally felt a cloudlike comfort. They were a bit snugger than I necessarily would like, as a size 6 normally that's what I got here, and they are doable without issues, however next time I will definitely do a 6 1/2 just for some breathability. Other than that though which was totally on me, these sneakers provide the comfort and support needed for running or any physical activity, perfect for day to day wear also if you spend alot of time on your feet. Love the style and design as well, super quality amd unique. Great touches throughout even including the 2 tone laces. Don't hesitate to try these out, my only regret is not adding these to my wardrobe long ago.

These were super comfortable right out of the box and did not require any break in period. I wore them on my trip to the Pacific Northwest and they kept my feet feeling great from the airplane to hiking trails.
There is a lot of padding to keep feet happy, however, that padding makes the shoe a little boxy looking, especially around the heel.
I don't mind the look as I would rather be comfortable while walking and running.

The Ariel GTS 23 shoe is a lightweight and well cushioned running shoe. This particular shoe has a thick heel with a wide toe box. As someone who has long and wide feet, I appreciated that this shoe gave my toes plenty of room to move around while exercising. I felt very stable and balanced when out running and hiking on trails and uneven surfaces. While the width of this shoe was great, it along with the thick heel made the shoe on the whole feel extra boxy and this took me a while to get used to. Overall, I've enjoyed wearing this shoe for exercise and being out on trails and will continue to wear it.

I am loving these Ariel GTS 23s! They fit true to size and dont run too narrow. I have a wide toe box and these fit comfortable for hours! I have worn these while out casually running errands as well as training indoors and running 3 miles. They work great in any situation. The insole has a lot of support and has a good cushion that helps keep your feet comfortable for hours! The soles have a decent grip and dont feel slippery when on smooth or wet surfaces. I love the clean design and the fact that I can wear these with a lot of different outfits.

I dont really do running in the traditional sense of the word, but as a busy mom, I do a lot of running errands! That was my main purpose for these shoes. From the get go, I loved the fit. They fit true to size and have rigid ankle and lateral supports built in. There is enough cushion for the shoes to be comfortable for long term wear throughout the day (another huge win!), and the fabric upper on the tops of the shoes is breathable. For the shoes I have in particular, I love the touches of color rather than a loud, bright pair of shoes. My favorite feature, though, has to be the thick tread on the bottom of the shoes. The grip it provides to all different terrain and flooring types is phenomenal! The only downsides to these shoes for me personally were that the light color of the shoes picked up the grass and dirt marks quickly and the lack of a finger loop at the heel of the shoe. These personal preferences were not enough for me to mark my rating down, however, because the support and other features of these shoes are just that quality!

I really liked this shoe. Its very comfortable, easily wine all day long running errands around town. Im currently pregnant so I only used it for walking, but plan on using it for running after baby. The shoes were so stylish and neutral enough to go with any workout or causal outfit. The shoes had EXCELLENT support, they are so comfortable on your soles. I feel like the shoes fit true to size, there was some slight tightness around the top on my feet, but that may be due to pregnancy feet swelling! I would recommend these shoes to any busy mom wanting suppo try all day long!

Omg I love these shoes!!! Ive been wearing them solely during my 3 mile daily treks and these shoes feel super light on my feet and the guide rails have virtually helped eliminate the lower back pain I used to have from my previous two pairs of running shoes. (I have recently gotten more serious about training so Ive only been doing it for a year) I feel like theyre definitely excellent for beginner to intermediate runners who may not have the best posture naturally. I also wore these shoes in a bubble run where they got super muddy I just tossed them in the washer and they got pretty clean! I wouldnt say good as new but they def got way cleaner than I thought they would. Overall Id def recommend them and found them to be super comfortable and also more stylish than most running shoes! And these pics are after I washed them post the muddy bubble run

I am obsessed with this shoe and its my new go to for literally running, workouts in general, errands, sports activities with my kids, you name it. I love the colors which are a light gray with black and pink accents. Im not usually a person who leans towards pink but the details on the shoe are just enough to make it feminine. Its sporty and fun and absolutely so supportive for running and workouts. I dont run quite as much as I used to but as Im getting older I find I need greater support in my workouts and the cushion support on the insoles of the shoe are amazing for that. Ive gotten compliments on them wherever I go. The sizing is spot on and I find it hugs my foot so nicely when Im doing any activity. I would absolutely recommend these shoes to anyone and its definitely going to be a pair that I run into the ground.

This shoe was much more accommodating to wide feet. I have never felt any soreness or numbness as I have with other models of Brooks and shoes in general. This shoe has Greta cushioning for both walking and running. Particularly in the heel. I like the design, I feel like its simple and modern. I could do without the bright pink because I like more muted colors in general as I dont only wear them with pink. I have worn this shoe all day many times and it is extremely comfortable. I am most grateful for the roominess and the cushion so I keep wearing them despite wishing for a different color scheme.
