First couple runs they were a little stiff and tweaked by knee and couldn't walk normally due to pain for a couple days. They are fine now and pain hasn't returned. I'm 6'3", 222 lbs wear a size 12/12.5 4E.
A challenge to find the right shoe that size. Was previously wearing Adrenalines but they wore out in about 200 miles so hoping these last a little longer. I run about 20 miles a week Nov-feb, or when cold and rainy, Good weather I cycle; I likely will return to Adrenalines. Been running for over 43 years.

One of the most comfortable shoes for people that have flat feet. But is seems like the last few years Brooks quality has gone down. I have a few friends that have noticed the same thing. They definitely do not last as long as they did. I have been wearing Brooks for the last 7-10 years and will continue to wear them. This photo is my last pair after 2-3 months. I will say I do feel they are supportive and have more cushion than prior models.

I had high hopes for these shoes, but the narrow toe box was a deal-breaker. Even after using a shoe stretcher, it felt constrictive and uncomfortable, especially compared to my perfect-fitting Adrenaline GTS 23s. I'm bummed, as I really liked everything else about the design and performance. Unfortunately, comfort is king, so I'll be sticking with my trusty Adrenaline for now.

I owned 8 Brookes shoes (2 of them Beast 20) before. I wanted to try this GTS 23 hoping for same or better support. After I wore it 4 hours walking standing I had to take them off. My ankles and knees were hurting bad. There is no support at all for flat feet and even I ordered wide they were not wide enough. I gave another try 3 days later wore them like 2-3 hours but I had so much pain. I returned them already and bought 2 pairs Beast 20 (just incase if they run out) I am very happy with 20s.

I am 230# and have very flat feet that tend to over-pronate when I walk. I had bought 4 pairs of Beast 14, and still use three pairs for walking (I do not run). They are worn, but not yet shot. Based upon reviews, I have refrained from buying Beast again until now. These are not as comfortable as the Beast 14's. As recommended, I bought 1/2 size up (15D). Though I have no arch to speak of, these seem to pinch a bit across the bridge of my foot. They are not comfortable, and though they might break in with use, I do not want to risk the return option by wearing them more, so I am returning them. (Zappo's return policy is not entirely clear concerning obviously-worn shoes.)
I'd also recommend:

This is my first Brooks shoe and ordered a much wider toe box based from my co worker's experience.I also did my research based from feedbacks from the website before purchasing but the shoe still feels narrow

Initially the fit and feel of the Brooks Beast GTS 23 were good and felt nice and supportive. Additionally, the shoe felt like it was made well with quality materials and sturdy. The visual design of the Brooks Beast GTS 23 is less than impressive. The visual is clunky/boxy and does not look like a running shoe. The sole unit extends fairly high, making it look like there are lifts added, especially near the heel. While I am not a flashy shoe person, the visual is underwhelming.
As a teacher, I am on my feet about 90% of my day. Much of my day includes walking around the class when giving a lesson, participating in physical education modules, and when needed running after a child to bring them back into the group. After almost 3 weeks of wearing the Brooks Beast GTS 23 at work, my feet still hurt at the end of the day. The arch supports are too aggressive for my feet as I have high arches, and the weight of the shoe seems too high.
There are several items I would like to see changed about this shoe. First, a lower profile on the sole unit especially as it nears the heel. Next, I would decrease the fabric thickness in the tongue. And I would scale back the arch/cushion supports. Lastly, to help with the boxy/clunky visual, I would add more lighter gray tones to delineate the shoe a little more.

Soles wore out disappointingly quickly, after just a couple of months of city walking, 3 miles per day.

Kudos to brooks for making a shoe similar to the beast 16 and prior. Plenty of room and support. What I don't like is they only make this shoe in 4 colors. One of them appears to be discontinued (scarlet) , and one in my opinion is pretty ugly(black). That leaves the blue and the grey, blue, white. The blue is fine but I just spent an hour scrubbing the grey, blue ,white with oxyclean and soap and a scrubber to get out a dirty conspicuous spot on the shoe. Perhaps 75 percent of the spot came out. The spot did not at all look like oil, but some dirt I picked up walking outside. I'm very gentle on sneakers and this appeared to me to be some dirt i picked up in the street. I've only had these perhaps 2 months and worn them maybe 5 times. I don't look forward to how dirty they'll likely get over time. These are not supposed to be dress shoes but something you can walk or run in. If they were dress shoes I could understand that you shouldn't get your dress shoes dirty. Even if you did you could use polish to clean.
Apparently nothing cleans these shoes. What was brooks thinking when they thought through the colors and designed them with some material that can't be cleaned.

VERY different from the 20 I love. It feels solid but stiff; good for walking; probably not much for running. Worse yet, some material inside the shoes catches my socks (Nike cotton blend).

much tighter front shoebox compared to the Beast '20. Will no longer be my go-to running/day-t0-day show.

I bought this for the cushioning that used to exist in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS, I've been wearing this brand for 15 years, this shoe looks a lot bigger, my foot slips out of the heal and it just looks huge compared to my other Brooks. The cushioning is great, like the other models used to be, the size is way too big and the look is bulkier

The pair that I received wasn't new. You could tell that they'd been worn before because there was a soil mark on them. I tried them on anyway to see how they would fit. I found that the sides of the shoes near the ankle were lower in height than the Brooks Beast 2016 model that I've been using for years now. And so it felt like my foot was likely to come out of these new shoes. Still even with that, I decided to try a test run. They did ok I suppose, but I had some apprehension about coming out of them, thinking that the only thing holding my feet inside was the shoelaces. By contrast, the 2016 Beast model feels like your foot near the ankles is supported and as though you would not slip out of them even if they came untied. I like that feeling better I must admit.
Thus overall I am not a fan of the new design. Nor the fact that my shoes were not new. I thought about returning them and just keeping on keeping on with my 2016 model Beast shoes. However they are worn past the point of being suitable for running, so I suppose I'll have to stick with these.
My feedback would be to only send new shoes to customers and to support the foot better like the 2016 model did.

For review context: I'm an average Joe runner, 6-10 miles a week, using Brook Beast '18 for the past few years for over-pronation help, and have flat feet.
This was my first major upgrade, and I thought I'd go with the latest Beast version of a shoe I like. Unfortunately, this shoe feels totally different. My non-scientific feedback is that it doesn't seem to give you that inward correction Beast '18 does. It almost does the opposite, I think the slope of the shoe actually tilts inward a bit. It also had what feels like a very steep decline from heel to toe, very noticeable (expected because it's in the specs). This isn't necessarily bad on it's own, but very noticeable.
The return process seems easy, so I'm satisfied with Brooks, and will continue my search for a Beast '18 replacement but this isn't it.

I typically purchase two pairs of Brooks Beasts when they are released. I had to wait for the release of the 23 which was late. I finally received the new 23's. I alternate shoe wearings with other shoes to avoid excessive shoe wear. I started to have problems with my toes after wearing the Beast shoes for some time. My podiatrist and I reviewed all of my shoes both new and old. We determined that Brooks changed the design of the Beast. The toe box is not as wide and is now more pointed. The shoe upper construction around the toe has changed and the toe box is slightly tighter. These are things that you do not notice initially and only show up after wearing the shoes for awhile. I am a size 16 and those with big feet need shoes that are sized correctly. I pulled out my older Beasts and am wearing them comfortably. I am very disappointed with the new Beast design, and I have to throw out a $160. pair of shoes because of subtile bad shoe redesigns. If you have large sized feet and previously liked the Beast for fit and the arch support, buy a different company's shoes.

I am not too happy with the fit. It seems like it has limited space for the front portion of the foot. My toes feel squished and my mid foot feels like the laces are too tight. Even when I got a wide size.

Nice looking sneakers. Ordered half size up and wide width but fit was too tight, too narrow. Just not comfortable. Will have to try another brand.

Unbelievably the shoes they sold me were very used. Not a little used but very used. What’s the deal with selling me a pair of shoes for the new price, about $159.00, and sending used.
Won’t be using Zappos again

These are a far cry from the old beast. Comfort and support not like the old model. Very stiff/no give in the midsole.

It's not that I didn't like the shoe. The fit was to small. Couldn't get foot in shoes. Size 9M is my normal size. QI will try going to sporting store and try another size. Better this way, instead of going back and forth trying to fine a shoe that fits.
