First off Im not a runner; I generally walk between 3-5 miles every night as a nurse. I choose Brooks Beast because they last, my last pair was about two years old still comfortable minus the separation of sole and forefoot. The new Beast 23 GTS fits and is comfortable with some caveats. First off the overall shoe seems solid, albeit cheaper built. Comparing to the original Beast 18, the inner liner is less cushioned, but thankfully without the drawbacks that the sole of the 18 suffered (time will tell). I miss the tongue tied feature, which kept my foot firmly in the shoe; unfortunately my foot tends to slide forward in the new Beast 23 GTS Variant. This is my one sneaker /shoe whatever go to, used for hiking, walking, running, camping etc. I appreciate Brooks for their EEEE width shoe size option, some more color variation would be nice. Bring back tongue tied.

I have been running exclusively, and happily, with the Beast since it first came out in 1992 or so. The GTS 23 is great. However, I echo the comments of other runners over the years, the shoe colors are terrible, it seems that Brooks doesn't care or have time to do any reasonable updates to the colors. Brooks has ignored runner on this issue for years,

I have been buying Brooks Beast for the last ten years for my aching feet. They have good arch support and the extra wide fits my foot better than most. This new version seems to be about a half size smaller in the length. My toe is bumping up against the same size I have always purchased for all these years. The bottom seems to be made of a harder material. Not sure how that will impact things. Always looking for a better shoe but so far, for flat feet and plantar fasciitis, have not found one.

I have worn Brooks Beast for around 15 years as a daily shoe. I have tried to get use to the new Beast GTS 23s but have to keep going back to my 20s and I am so disappointed in the change that has been made. This shoe does not have the comfort that once was a great shoe. Unfortunately I will have to find a new shoe after all these years. Will be ordering the Beast 20 before they are sold out, as it has been a phenomenal shoe. This 23s have been a waste of money.

I do not use these shows for running but for walking. I was referred to Brooks by my step-daughter who swears by them. They are very comfortable, and hope to enjoy them in the years to come.

I can't wear the GTS Beast that I purchased. The toe box has been changed and now seems to be shallower or something. The same problem exists with GTS Addiction. So I am buying the Beast and Addiction 20 online to make sure that I have shoes for awhile. Really sad to loose the best shoes ever to this new GTS design.

I have been buying Beast GTS shoes for the last 5 years. In the past they have been the most comfortable shoes I have owned. However, soething changed with the "23" version. I am pretty sure I can make these shoes work for me - but they are definitely different from earlier versions.

Unfortunately I had to return them because they did not fit the way I wanted them too. There wasn't enough room in the toe area, my toes felt cramped in the sneaker. I normally wear adrenaline but they are hard to get and I wanted another navy pair of sneakers so I decided to try the Beast GTS 23. I did like the color, I wish they would make a pair of adrenaline's in the same color. My search for a navy sneaker continues.

I love the width of the shoe! Its hard for me to find wide enough shoes that are also comfortable and supportive. And they look amazing!

The Beast is a mainstay for heavier runners like myself. The colors offered are poor at best! We might be heavier, but the styling from the makers of these shoes lacks...well, style! Why? Why can't you offer these shoes with darker soles in other than black! Why? Why does it feel like my testosterone drops 200 points when I put these on?

I have flat feet, bunions, wide feet. This shoe makes me forget all that. Ive been wearing the Beast and Addiction for about 12 years or so. I have no intention of changing.

These new 23 Beasts are great! A completely different construction from the past models, but still full of support (I pronate). I also applaud the change from a foam heel to a more solid construction which helps to maintain the integrity of the shoe when I slip them on without loosening the laces. Many online reviews have stated that these shoes are somewhat heavier than your standard running sneaker, but rest assured they are still very light. I'm not a veteran runner by any means and the shoes definitely fell light on my feet. When compared to other models, the Beasts were always bulkier but that's because they are the model that offers the most support. My only real complaint is that more colorways should be made available. Hopefully we'll see more released in the near future as the three color choices currently available (as of January 2024) are somewhat bland and limiting. Other than that, I love these shoes!

This shoe is a bit snugger than previous models. It has taken a while but it's starting to fit better after some wearing. It's very cushy and that has taken some time to get use to it. I agree with most of the reviews that Brooks has lost some of what the had with previous models. But, for some reason Brooks would rather TELL US that their new shoes are better than listen to us telling them that they are not! Otherwise, my other concern is that they only offer 3 choices in the new Beast line, unlike the larger selection they gave in the Beast '20 line. Some more selection other than Black, Blue and Ugly would be well received and appreciated.

The shoes are superb in weight, structure, comfort, and support. Missing a star because they last Significantly less miles than their predecessor. I have logged (literally) over 1,000 miles in beasts. This iteration is phenomenal, but admittedly, for me, Id take on a little extra weight for lasting another 50-100 miles

I was wearing the Beast 20s for about 2 years because theyre the only shoes Ive found that help prevent my feet from pronating when I run. They discontinued them so I bought the beast 23s. These shoes have almost as little interior support as the Ghosts. The shoe buckles as my foot comes down and my ankle roles inwards. I had to stop after 6 miles because I was in too much pain.

Had 4 pairs of Beast 20. Tried 23. Right away seemed off. After 3 miles, both feet had arches that ached and experienced tightness in lower calf. It did not seem like my foot was surrounded in comfort like the 20's. It seemed to me that the lower portion of the shoe was kind of cheap looking and wow, they are very old fashion looking. (Boring) Returned first day and ordered pair of 20's that were actually on sale. Got em and wow, now have happy feet. Your experience may be different, this is just mine.
