My podiatrist recommended Hoka's a few years ago to assist with over pronation, flat feet, and low back pain in addition to inserts. I started with the Bondi 7's which were great, they made me a believer in the difference the right shoe can make. I was less impressed by the Bondi 8 which I ordered to replace my worn out 7's but I can't be certain if I wasn't thrilled about the Bondi 8's because I ordered them in a wide and they just don't feel as stable, even with inserts. Even though I have wide feet and typically need a wide size, I have found Hoka's to be plenty wide enough, which I'm glad for as it provides me with more options. Being disappointed with the Bondi 8's I decided to try a 'stable/plush' shoe vs the Bondi's which are 'neutral/plush', enter the Stinson 7's. Hoka doesn't have a ton of options in their 'stable/plush' lineup, it essentially came down to the Giovata 5 or the Stinson 7. Based on reviews, and more rugged looking grips I went with the Stinson 7. This was the right decision for me, and I absolutely love the feel and fit of this shoe. No inserts needed. The shoe is stable, feels secure, and comfortable! The Stinson 7's are my absolute favorite Hoka's. They are everything I need. I do hope to see future designs of the Stinson to contain some more neutral designs, color/pattern. I've never been a fan of sneakers outside of walking or hiking, but it seems I've reached the magic age where they are a requirement. I would just like to see some more neutrality design options that wouldn't compromise the intent of the shoe, but that might allow me to wear them with my business casual work attire without looking so 'sneaker-ish'. I may try the Giovata next, just to compare but the Stinson 7 is so far the absolute top of my list, would highly recommend to anyone who may have similar foot, and stability needs - the Stinson delivers.

I love them! I'm usually a size 7.5 however I have severe Bunions, so I went up 1/2 size. I do not know why I hesitated for so long on purchasing from Hoka. I am on my feet for 11 hours and 23 weeks pregnant. No longer wearing my maternity belt because the shoes give me so much stability. My back and sole of my feet are no longer sore. It's crazy how much a shoe can change in the way you walk and stand.

Was pleasantly surprised with the level of plush on these Stinsons. I wear them for running and ran a half marathon in them the first week I had them-awesome time and I finished 5 minutes faster than anticipated with no issues. My legs and feet weren't even tired! They have held up very well. Big lugs for traction and then have a nice angle to the front and back of the sole that kind of rocks you forward. Will buy again when worn out. For reference I'm small about 125lbs, narrow foot, moderately high arches. Won't work for everyone.

I've had multiple foot surgeries & have permanent rods in 2 digits/toes. The STINSON continues to be the absolute best & most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned.
Thank you for such great & consistent quality!

I have a foot/ankle injury that has impaired my walking ability. I have been wearing different styles of Hoka shoes for the past years which have lessened the pain of walking and have enabled me to continue to work and enjoy life. This style has been the most supportive shoe yet and look forward to possibly purchasing additional in the future and plus they look great!!! I am extremely happy and will continue to recommend this brand to others!

My son took me hiking up Castle Rock in Sonoma, Grand Canyon and a few other spots in my Ricons. When I returned home my feet and ankles decided the Ricons were shot and took a chance with the Stinson! I'm so happy I did (so were my old, tired feet and legs). They are my new favorite!!

I bought a half size smaller than I usually wear in an athletic shoe. These have a wider shoe box, my foot runs average to slightly wide. Excellent support and stability. Love the shoe!

I love these shoes because they are versatile for pavement and trail running. I normally wear a size 9, but they were too big around the ankle and forefoot. I went down a 1/2 size to 8.5 and they felt perfect. I have small feet with a high arch for a tall person. The shoes are very comfortable, but it took me a little over a week to break them in. The material on the entire shoes are high quality, probably the best I have seen in a long time in all terrain running shoe. I would even go as far as saying the Stinson 7 may be more suitable for a summer shoe but I think they will hold well for the winter time too.

Just finished a 100k in these and they did wonders for my joints. Great shoes if you have knee pains during long runs.

These were the widest toe-box Hokas I could find. I had bought a pair in the Hoka store, but they only had two colors, so I was happy to find all the colors available on Zappos! Great for feet recovering from injuries.

I bought these because I needed a super cushy work shoe as I'm on my feet 10+ hours a day, and I wanted something that would keep me moving. These are great for both work and the treadmill! They are stable and supportive, and they give me a great "push" as I move forward. I am not a runner, but with these shoes I feel like I could be! I do weight training and yoga posing at the gym as well, and for those activities I change shoes because these, while great for continued forward motion, aren't the most flexible for those activities. I normally wear ladies' 8.5, but I did size down to an 8 and they fit very well, with room for heavy socks if necessary. The B width is great for feet with a little extra width. Overall I am absolutely happy with the Stinson 7, love the fit/confirt/style, and would definitely buy again!

I was reluctant to trying a new sneaker because of my back issues. I've seen medical people wearing Hoka shoes so I figured they must be good to withstand those type of professionals. I'm so glad I gave them a try. The comfort is out of this world. It's such a light shoe but provides so much support. I even ordered another pair in a different color.

I loved the Gaviota 5 but it kept getting a hole where my big toe is, so i returned and bought this one. I love it too. I just wish there were more color choices. Maybe some that go with any color i would be wearing?

I was lucky enough to get these on the trail this weekend. Halfway through my hike I actually stopped and noticed how good my feet felt. My Ortho inserts stayed in place and I was energized throughout my hike. I will recommend these shoes every chance I get

This shoe is the answer to all day comfort, running on pavement (in the city) and is a great show to train in (run, not lifting weights). I have purchased twice already and willing to purchase again after my second pair has been ran through.

I wear my Hoka's everyday to help with lower back pain and the Hoka Stinson is a big part of NOT having lower back pain. I would not purchase anything else but Hokas. I love the color, black and white with a hint of orange. I have four pair now. Big fan even though I am a walker not a runner. Thank you!

Half size up from my true size (which is wide) was perfect. These shoes are the most comfortable I've ever owned.
